After 2 consecutive multilappers, and with BC6 to prepare, we need something fast with enough power and super soft tyres, so that we don't have to think much about strategy.

Next Tuesday is May 16th.

Anyway, I'll be done with finals thursday night and provided I don't get too drunk and go into a three day hangover comatose state, I might take part into this race.

I love Laguna Seca. I just don't know about the Zonda. Hopefully it'll be alright, with no power increase.

The Wizard.

Oooo me like (the car at least, not a huge fan of Laguna Seca).
Love the car, one of my favorites, and I do have it unlocked (THANK GOD, I thought I would have to unlock another car for this lol).

Nice combo 👍

me like also:dopey: in fact i loved... this zonda will certanly make for a good practice for the BC6... great choice on not changing the HP... it would make it a complete understeary b¨%$# with +20

Ok well I'm not a member of this series (yet). And I don't have Max Drive (yet). But since this race, I'm defintiely considering it. And since PS3 is now going to be $500 I'll probably get all the necessary stuff to join.

But for now, I'm Sam, and if I start posting times and never have anything at the end, well now you know why.

Me like too, not too sure I'm gonna like the outcome of my lap times though. :dunce:

Just got over the pain caused by that BMW Mclaren at La Sarthe :ouch:! Looks like I'll be having a few resarts before running any clean laps. :)

I know it's a bit early for splits but i won't have a chance to run this again till nearer the end of the week.

T1 - 18.312
T2 - 35.556
T3 - 54.672

TCS & ASM both off, top speed 300

Sounds like it'll be pretty fun! No AI, thank God!! Did I mention, I HATE THE 🤬 AI!!!

I should have this car, I think. I'm pretty sure I've completed all the driving missions except Mission 34, which is just about impossible. (And SLOW! You have to wait 2 minutes just to start, then it takes 7 or 8 minutes to complete the race and find out that you're just not fast enough to pass that darned SL at the very end!)

I'll get on this race later... See what happens... But it sounds like it'll be fun.

You posted 3 splits.... does that mean this track has 4 sectors???

Yep, 4 sectors, Guess the avatars not making an appearance again this week Weary :).

Just had a quick blast round, the cars not as much of a handful as I first thought, not using any aids either, I think my first lap time was about ten minutes though .

(Please don't put that one on the board Mister Weary???) ):)

There are a few tracks with 3 T-times, and Laguna Seca is one of them.
T1 after turn 3, T2 right before turn 6 and T3 while exiting Rainey curve.

Damn it Cyril! You beat me to the punch, again! :)

On a slightly different, but relevant subject.........

What is it with the American's, and not giving corners a name?

Makes it SO much easier to describe a lap if there are names to the corners.

Or, maybe, it's just me being a little anal?

Neil

Bummer, first race in 4 weeks that I've got the right car for and isn't in GT mode, so I should have no excuse :guilty:..... except that I fly back to England on Thursday, for 2 weeks of training, topped off with attending UKGTP V where I'll get to meet vexd, EXelero, Touring Mars, Specialized, Famine, daan and others! :D

Guess I'll see you all for week 59 if it's an arcade combo! ;)
Until then have fun and enjoy the racing! 👍

took this baby for a ride... lots of sideways action if you link it all togheter...

T1 - 17´895
T2 - 34´720
T3 - 52´975

more to come in the weekend... don´t know if 51 is possible, lets see what everybody else runs...

Lost a few tenths in probably all sectors, just need to clean up the lap a little.

T1: 17.970 (lost that .2 here)
T2: 34.906 (have seen 34.627)
T3: 53.297 (surprised I wasn't slower here, really screwed up the corner after the corkscrew. See another .2 or so to pick up in here)

I guess 52.6 or 7 can be had through T3 . . . just enough to get under a certain second barrier.

Sounds freaking sweet! I'll have a go at this in just a few minutes... Will definitely make a decent showing this week!

Laguna Seca does actually have named corners. Turn 2 is the Andretti Hairpin, Rahal straight is the uphil after the fast left kink AKA Turn 6 (evil in real life as in the game), of course the "Corkscrew" and the following Rainey Curve.

Many if not most tracks have at least some named corners especially the signature ones. The Carousel at Infineon, No Name Straight at Lime Rock, Hurry Downs at Road America, the Festival Curves at Portland, the Inner Loop at Watkins Glen, etc... Then of course it's easier to remember numbers, as you can always trace the turns in your head as you imagine a lap...

Now, if you called out turns by number at the 'Ring though... EEK!!

Well. Since my dads been going to Lime Rock every year for the past 25 years. I think it's pretty safe for me to say that the signature part of that track is Big Bend. I just hope that I wont be in school when his Corvair club goes (crosses fingers).

Had a real quick looky at this one. Nice and easy comp. I like it. :)

T1: 17.779
T2: 34.640
T3: 52.674

What barrier was that Z. ? :sly:

I'm afraid you've awaken a sleeping giant there, pal. Just need to calm the nerves after I destroyed a nice lap moments ago by getting a bit loose right at the T2 marker. You can see how badly by the splits . . . gonna take me a minute to get over this *deep breath* . . .

T1: 17.835
T2: 34.489 ( 👍 )
T3: 52.893 ( 👎 )

I'll get it.

Damn it. Last already, don't drive tired kids.

T1 18.413
T2 35.996
T3 55.666(eek)

Be back when I've had a rest and some practice where I can keep my eyes open! :dopey:

combo should be a blast, laguna seca is a difficult track to drive at the limit, so many blind crests to judge

This thing's kinda beastly like! Very responsive to throttle steering... Makes it kind of hard to drive! I wasn't expecting it to be this tough. I've seen 54 flat, will post splits later when I get under it. Pat's playing right now though, so I'll get to that tomorrow morning probably. Gnight!
