Well we may not be driving a Porsche or a Ferrari or that absolutely immaculate Eleanor (Cyril can let us race that gem another time) but this race will definitely be over quicker than you can say "Angelina looked weird as a blonde" :sly: For those that have never seen the movie and wonder what on Earth I'm rambling about read this.

With the Board Challenge well under way (make sure you come and support GTP's team here) and many drivers super busy fighting for those last thousandths of a second I thought we'd better keep this one super simple so people can reach their limit quickly 👍 You should be able to break the sixty second barrier comfortably this week.

I've got a mountain of stuff to do this week and I'm off on an excursion on Sunday for 4 or 5 days so I'm submitting my race already. Here is my split:

T1: 0`21.524

So that technically makes me first to post and first to submit and seeing as though I've updated the leaderboard early because tomorrow could be nightmare-ish I'm also coming first so far...yay :)

Board Updated

off into hospital tomorrow for some minor thing, but luckily it means a few days of bed rest, so will definately get back into the wrs this week.
looks like a good race to get started with too.
mind you, anyone who looked at famine's vids from ukgtp, will know how cr*p my driving is on this course and make sure they stay out of my way!!

woo hoo

I like these quick hotlaps 👍

21.182 in my best clean save so far ( seen 21.0's also )... will try some more soon, very smooth combo btw :)

autoset @ 420 seems perfect for the long start/finish straight ;)

Woo HOO! I think I'm gonna love this combo. With a qual week at JGTC, I just may try to put in some time at HSR. Great choice of event Weary!

Well now that I've finished with finals. I can finally make a return to WRS this week. And what a combo... Thank god I bought the black 787b when did.

This should be an interesting week, with only one split time and the amount of track left after it. I'll have to submit my time by the weekend though as I'm off for a couple of days this weekend and the early part of next week and I'm not sure if I'll have access to a PC let alone a PS2. Seems to be a bit of a theme this week? :)

Back soon with a time.

Darren.

Thank god I bought the black 787b when did.

I haven't got these fabled black cars yet. Are you sure they're not down on power? I thought I read somewhere that they have a few less hp than the regular versions. Maybe that's just in GT mode.
Do they come up in Arcade mode as a unique vehicle or just a different colour scheme of the normal 787B?

I'll come back to WRS, if only for this round. I love the High Speed Ring.

T1: 21.244

I bought the black 787B and it has the same specs as the regular one, just some wear that comes from buying a car with additional mileage on it.

In Arcade mode, even if you own the black one, you have to drive the hideous Green-Orange one.

No week 61 submission from me as I only just returned from holiday in Portugal. I've always had a soft spot for the 787B, look forward to having a go after the England vs. Sweden game, by which time I'll have had a few beers:crazy: 👍

as a point of trivia... the XJ220 road car makes an appearance in the movie.
sex on wheels. 👍

21.195

End of the lap was a bit wobbly though.

Oh, and best of luck to the GTP team in the Board Challenge! 👍
When do the first results start coming in? I can't figure out how it works :dunce:

21.658

After about 6 laps

understeery bugger init?

Neil

Is anyone using TCS at all? I started off with it but eventually thought i'd test 900+ HP with no TCS and it actually came out quite well, understeers a tad on the sharper turns but all in all i'm having as much fun as Sven at a wife swapping party! :scared:

I was able to counter the understeer by being either on the brakes a little or on the accelerator a little all the time.

Mr P
I like these quick hotlaps 👍

I'm in for this one too Ron :mischievous:

Looks like a nice combo 👍

Edit: Best save at 21.142 but with a great finish. Saw 20.886 but couldn't finish strong.

ah...this is an interesting one...if i manage to get the PS2 i will give it a try
sausage: lets see if you can keep your winning streak!

Got to be braver round the esses around T1. :nervous: I don't think I'm using anywhere near the amount of track available on the exit so I should be able to go faster round there.

Came up with this after about ten minutes,

T1 21.813

410 gearing, no aids and small cajone's.

22.167
this is one of those tracks where you wish you could publish some hint on the laptime.
cyril, would it be ok if we give an indication of the laptime in rounded seconds or something?

OK! :D

I'll see if I've got the Madaz in my garage, and if so I'll be in. Probably just the one run this weekend though - this new job has me flat-out (no pun intended) and tired.

Is it called "Gone in Sixty Seconds" because it takes ~60 seconds to find the limit of the combo?
