Congrats on the Purchase!! Did you build a stand or a mount to use the DFP on?

I swear one of these days I am going to buy a DFP, Its just the price and a way of mounting it that are holding me back at this point.

Thanks! I figured I work hard enough...and who needs to eat when you have GT4 anyway. ?

Right now I have the DFP mounted on one of these shelve deals.

It's just the right height and only cost $10 at Target. The bottom shelf is lowered and angled on mine to compliment the pedals correctly.

I plan on building a cockpit of some sort in the near future. I think the seat will work perfectly.

EDIT:
I apologize to all for getting off topic.

had a quick go at it in reverse with 340 top speed...which i believe suits the course well, even though it may max out just b4 u take the first corner.

12.248 (saw a 12.061)
34.148
51.300:tup: i had a superb uphill left b4 T3, which is not the eaiest corner to take. i stayed in 4th gear for all corners accept for the first obviously, which can be taken in 6th just below 300, trying to go as staright as possible, which means cutting it a bit on exit. used dfp, and the settings i used on the dfp were simulation steering, strong feedback, no aids or assists, but i reduced the feedback to 60 percent using hte dfp feauture were u press and hold select+R3+left paddle untill u see the left led display blink. i find it easier to drive with as it doesnt shake much down the straights. tcs is horribly unnescessary as 4th gear is perfect and almost eliminates wheel spin out of the equation anyway

Holy crap Dan!

I was glancing when I saw a 12.4 but 12 flat, that crazy

I can't manage to take the first chicane above 260, otherwise it gets unbalanced and I'm sticking in the walls 👎

Nice T3 Dan, it looks as if I'm using the wrong top speed for that section, as I only have 52.0 from a 34.2 t2.

Sorry if this is a stupid question Cyril, but I don't follow the WRS as closely as I used to do.

From the rules:

Flat-out
Race rules :
Standard clean OLR rules :
  • 2 wheels on track at all time ;
  • rumble strips are part of the track ;

Then I just stumbled over this:

Just wanted to add that we've been using all pavement too in all recent races. As someone was saying on GTX, it's best if all boards race by the same rules, and the softer the rules, the faster the times.
So I'm tending to allow all tarmac, concrete, pavement or grass-crete areas too.

And remembering this DQ from WRS 34, where all pavement were used.

So frankly I'm a little confused now. Are the ALL pavement allowed now? Also concrete OUTSIDE the rumbles?

GTRP has been using an all-pavement-is-legal rule since the release of GT4, BC6 was also using the same rule. I don't like it much, but I think it's better that all boards race by the same standards, or else some are penalized when they run on boards with softer rules.
So yeah, since week 50 all pavement areas have been legal in the WRS.

20 laps and a sore right thumb gave me
14.757 - 38.230 - 56.576
with top at 330 and tcs on. tcs off is great but gives me the creeps. good for fun but not for stable laps.
now i'm back on top of div3 but probably only until darkelite shows up and nightmare goes to div2. still looking for .4 at t3 so i can beat my friendly french friend.

Thanks for the fast and clear reply, Cyril. :)

Sorry for adding to your work, but would it be possible to include or clarify it in the rules. :dopey:

My first session:

13.344
36.303
54.649

New splits for me:

T1: 0`12.396
T2: 0`34.995
T3: 0`52.635

This week is more like controlling a low flying aircraft in turbulence than racing a car. The fact that this insanely powerful engine has wheels attached instead of wings doesn't make it a "car" in my opinion :indiff:

Board Updated

This is harder than i was expecting, and not as interesting as forwards would have been IMO. Still a bit of fun though, but im struggling to keep it under control. It might be that im playing too much TT, not been on gt4 in over 4 days, bar a 30min excursion just now. Anyway down to business, a slow 54.648 to start off.

I can't believe these times! Is everyone running the correct HP? :scared: This combo is so frantic it brings out the pain in my left shoulder! I don't think these cars were meant to catch air, ya think? That drop off into the tunnel curve is freaky!

13.783
37.149
55.811

Never thought I even like such rocket combo's,but this one is nice.

Will see where this end,

Later.

13.177
36.146
53.619

well for the last couple days I have made minor improvements but today I have done pretty good. I figure that I will put these times up.
13.778
37.061
55.768
There is still another second or two out there(for me at least). My t1 is very bad because I messed up on the right hander after the chicane. I got on the throttle so late. I only seem to get clean fast laps in like the first five or six laps after those my times go in the trash. Does anyone else notice this or is it just me.

Oh yeah MRWEARY I now roll with a dfp:sly:

Bah 4.5mil time to get some money before I start this combo. Yes I left and now I am back again Lol. I will try to not slip away again....

New best save :
T1 : 13.059
T2 : 37.544 (missed the braking after T1)
T3 : 55.904

I think I made a typo on my T3 split, I'm thinking I'm at :53.2xx and not :54.2xx but I'll double check that when I get home, I was wondering why I was *unusually* WAY behing Dan...lol

It probably means you're trying to find the limits of the combo 👍
It can be very frustrating but it's a natural process - I sometimes go through periods where I don't get a single clean lap in a 30 min session, but it often pays dividends in the next session as you get to know where to push hard and where to be more conservative. That's my experience anyway.

No new splits btw - just got back from the boozer so I'm in no fit state to drive a tricycle let alone an 800HP bastard like this :ill:

Best save so far (but it might be my last, as RL and JGTC race week are taking my time)

T1 13.440
T2 37.039
T3 55.269

If I submit, it will probably be this lap!

I do not like the combo Cyril, sorry!

A car like this was designed for the Le Man circuit, and other's very similar.
That's where they were made for, that's where they come alive, and that's where they belong!

An 810 Hp car does not belong on a track like this.

Some will say that I am giving up too early, some will say that I am being a wuss. But this car was not meant for a track like this.

I am not enjoying driving what is one of, if not, the fastest car in the game, on a track that doesn't let it show it's colours.

I may dip back in later in the week, depends how the JGTC and the TTWRS goes.

Here's what I've been able to manage in an hour or so. Definitely a LOT of room for improvement. Now that I'm getting used to the car, TCS will come off, but 340 gearing seems to work fine. My T2-T3 was horrendous, same with the finish. But my best splits so far.

T1 - 12.290
T2 - 35.255
T3 - 53.299

If you think this is hard, go to GT mode and give it 1100+HP and try it:scared:.
Now that is hard:crazy:.
