The thing with my cat is, he's called Gingu (which evolved into my nickname, with the help of a movie my brother saw).
And I've already improved even more, but still within 0.050 from my current splits. I hybridized my very own setup, and I think the most extreme one. It's based on Dan's, Brad/Colby's, and Sucahyo's (Can't spell that username) settings for the Holden Monaro. Weird...
Front/Rear:
Springs: 5.x/Min
Height: Max/Min
Bound: 1/5
Rebound: 1/6
Cambe: 1.5/0.6
Toe: 0/-2
Rollbars: 1/5
ASM Understeer: 1 (No other aids)
Brake balance: 1/2
LSD: 8/35/10 (Works best for me, watch out from grass)
Dan's tranny-tricking/gearing

And Sjaak: It's no problem getting Dan's replays - his MSN is in his public profile, and he's always willing to send one, if he has one. About Week 75: I had that replay long before Ben had it, so I'm the one to be flamed... Dan also already told everyone what his technique is, and I posted something of a lap-guide based on what he said.

βen;2454563Look sjaak, that isn't what I mean. I don't always chase replays that I have. 73, I never had a replay, Rob had posted a technique of help to me, not a replay.
I didn't mean it to sound like you were bullying me, I just felt a little upset that people may think that.
EDIT: Rob as in randymcchickenf, and the thing I was talking about was getting a Maxdrive to bootand a technique he mentioned.
You would have stick to the PM,much better for all of us.

I figured that I may as well have posted that too.

Sure, there are some individuals that may not be as trusting, or misled, or whatever, but that's no reason to give up on yourself and stop competing regularly. They'll get over it, and hopefully you shall as well, and we can all continue to play and learn and improve. 👍

Wow Im away for a few weeks and I return to see Drama 👎 Sucks guys nobody wants to see anyone leave thats for sure. Remeber its all a Game, were all supposed to have fun with the ..Game.. Unfortunitly we dont have ANY sure fire ways to make sure EVERYONE is not cheating. In situations like that I think the best thing to do is just say ..OK, if he says hes not cheating then I will go with that (At least if they havent had any history of it in the past, which by the looks of it Ben hasn't). You just have to accept that there is now way to know for sure for ANYONE. Im not supporting anyone all im saying is the evidence doesnt seem rock solid, just an "accusation" if you will, so its really all up to everyone individually to decide wether they feel one way about the situation or the other. So nobody should leave, everyone should keep playing and having FUN with the knowledge that they ACCEPTED when they first decided to join the WRS or ANY RACING FORUMS : There is NO WAY to be 100% SURE that everyone is LEGIT. I know my opinion doest matter and everyone has one, But I hope that it might at least keep Ben around, as if nothing else, just like all the Div 1 drivers, they are great to chase and learn from and help to improve (at least my) skills. cheers

Well, if someone submits a replay, with the right track, car, and power, and the replay is found clean, then he didn't cheat, right? Helping each other (including following better ghosts) is part of WRs...
But please, we've had 3 weeks full with arguments, for everyone: From aliens, down to D3 Dramas...

Ben, create another account, do another qualify (for DIV 01), and everything is clean. -that's my advice...
I don't know any of you, but I don't think that looking at other peoples replay's is cheathing - I call it driving school. If you are a good driver than looking at others driving techniques will help you immprove your driving skill; but if you're a bad driver, nothing in the world will help you immprove.
That's the way I look at things...

Exactly (the driving-school part). I raced using Holl01s replays on a couple of occassions, and they help you - whether it's the approach, the line, or the speed/technique. But after all, you can only do what your own limit enables - which is why I was 4 seconds slower than him, even though I tried to imitate all his lines.
And Ben is a Premium user, he could simply change the name...

I did READ GOOD, and I understand exactly what you are saying. The point is you are accusing him of something that you feel isn't fair, or obviously you wouldnt have been involved in the issue. I said in my post i wasnt taking sides. It makes perfect sense, have fun and dont worry about what other drivers are doing unless they are CLEARLY cheating. If its not against the rules then why is there an issue. Ive used peoples guides that they have typed on OPEN threads to improve my time. No matter how he did it, it was fair and he imporved his time so good for him. Thats all im saying, and thats why what i origionally posted DOES make perfect sense. It wasnt about cheating or not per say, it was about having fun and getting better at the GAME! thats all nothing more and nothing less. and once again, I have nothing to say other than my very own opinion about it and im not trying to convince ANYONE to think other than their own opinion. Im simply commenting on the fact that its about PLAYING A GAME and HAVING FUN. thats why its called GAMES, and not WORK.

No one called anyone a cheat! ... I know Sjaak personally from visits to Amsterdam LAN events and I know its not in his nature to insult anyone without reason ... If insult was taken at his words then they were misinterprited simple as that 👍

well goran, thanks for the advice. but i must disagree. i am a bad driver but i am improving because of the availability of replays. and a good driver can only slightly improve from replays 'cos he's already so good.
as for ben, he'll know what to do because he is a wise chap with his heart in the right place.

Ok, now back on-topic: I raced some more, found my current setup best.
Also: I can pass my ghost on the first 3 corners (approx. 0.3 ahead of him), but he (me, actually) simply nailed the chicane, so I can't pass it... I nailed it again once, with a T1 of 0'30.3, but missed a lot of time in the chicane before T2...
I already passed Steven, and I think a silver will arrive, and can't improve... I'll try tomorrow, see if I have any luck.

Casio did you know that you are .509 faster than anyone between T1 and T2? How you doing that
I have no idea. Something must be up, while I am probably a pretty quick driver, I'm not that quick. I've checked everything, 466hp on the replay, SS tyres, no wing, it is a 0mile uber save car but I don't think that matters?
It's unorthodox, but I'm going to post my replay for this week in the thread in a tick, for someone/s to check, it gives me a chance to see if I have stuffed something badly, to get another run in before the deadline. 👍
