GT4 WRS Week 84: "This mountain is a trial!"

Ok I know I can go faster but I'm done. I just can't get a clean lap even though
I can get a 58:8xx at T3. Well here are my final time's.

T1-15:301(+.050)
T2-34:066(-.008)
T3-59:052(-.174)
Total-(-.130)

I hope I do well this week, because I did really good from T3 to the finish.

I have to RE get my time, becuase it's drity:(.
I know I can go faster then before and still get a clean lap, it's just I gave up for now. I'll try again tomrrow, and see what I get, faster or I have submit tomrrow. Will see.

I gave up: I had one test yesterday, one today, I have a work for tomorrow, and a test on wednesday. So, to prevent myself from trying some WRS'ing and wasting precious time, I let B-spec Billy take the Yellow/Black Formula GT, Nurb'-tuned out on the track. He's giving me consistent 5'50s, to I'm happy. Drove some laps myself, too, but that was just 30 minutes.

Dammit, lets hope the next combo will be as addicting as this one, but easier to keep clean.

*Off to write weird MatLab stuff. Anybody knows how to make a Speck-organism which can avoid black spots and go only through whites on a randomly-generated basis, using a B/W JPEG picture as a map?*

Better:

15.015
33.248
57.893

Time submitted. :D

OMG. Dan just got pwned by a non-Curtis creature! Those are some sharp splits there...
You're from the 'old school' WRS'ers, right? I haven't seen you since I joined...

wow, I must have some major issues with my line. The racers I normally overtake are beating my doors in... :ill:

any help?

i am submitting now. my internet is dead and i am quickly checking my mail thru my neighbour's. lots of fun this week but somewhat disapproving improvements. again can't wait for tomorrow's 85!

New splits,new time.

15.238
33.819
58.908

I liked the track more then the car,

Time submitted.

I dunno really... What gearing are you using?

I was using 280 then switched to 290. I felt like I was revving beyond the optimal power/torque curve at 280. Maybe this race just doesn't suit my style. I wouldn't throw a race car around like this in real life, but that's what you need to do to be fast here, I guess. :indiff:

I'll submit though. I felt like I had a good run in the last sector...

I liked the 290 as well in my last session. And yes, you definitely HAVE to toss the car around, or else it'll understeer and be hard to take the proper lines.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I LOVE throwing cars around. Lol.

I love this track but that doesn't make me fast. Submitting my first lap under one minute at T3.

15.595
34.540
59.932

Jake, go out without your ghost on, then try braking harder and earlier than you normally would. Make sure you're hugging the inside and get back on the power earlier on the way around the corner. You slow down more than you think you would, and then power out of the corner earlier. More so than on other cars.

New splits, definitely not done for the night:
15.621
34.388
59.751

Good advice. I had been doing that already but just not hard enough. That goes back to my first concern. If I find that I am not at zen in a race, I tend to loose interest. No big deal though, I learned a lot on this combo...👍

Time Submitted

Ok.:D I have my time all sent in, and this one is clean.
I'll post my T times just for fun.:sly:
T1- 15.808
T2- 34.866
And T3- 1:00.697.

I could have gone alot faster, but I think I went fast enough.:mischievous:

curtis doesn't have to be here for someone to be faster than dan, Zoky (aka GTManiac)and Tannis are both supremely quick drivers...

And Hugo Boss and GTX and GPKart and Mr P. :sly:

Submitting this lap:
15.25(1 or 7, can't read my writing)
33.937
59.056

:sly:

That was my first time getting things somewhat close to right. Maintaining speed for the first bit of Sector 1 while ALSO getting a good line at high speed through the next parts of it paid huge dividends this week. I wish I had more time, I know I could've shaved another couple of tenths off with another hour or so. Who knows how much more I could've shaved if I spent multiple hours on it... Fun!

Submitted my time. Didn't drive more than the first few laps last week. I don't like to throw a car around the track, I prefer to drive smooth. Submitted anyway hoping the results list will become just as long as the T times leaderboard!

And Colby, you must have beaten me this round :sly: Had a slow last sector. I think even Sjaak outperformed me, great splits Dutchie 👍

Hoping for something more smooth next round... :P

The results are looking nice, only an hour or so till all will be revealed :sly: So far I've got 24 submissions 👍

I love trowing a roadcar around. I like driving racecars smoothly. And I guess this kills me on racecar weeks...
