There's a tiny piece of me that wants to keep going but i know there's no more than annother tenth left in it for me.
 
Spent a couple hours on this one and its pretty intresting, some of the slop I've done so far

one set of splits
14.07/53.57....umm okay I woke up half thru the lap :ouch:
13.7/54.1....fell asleep half way thru the lap :grumpy: :dunce:
13.82/53.43....not clean! :yuck:
13.8/53.5 clean but slow last sector

I just can't seem to get what I should here; 13.8x and 53.3x o well it was fun anyway.

My real splits:
T1 - 13.85
T2 - 53.55
Final - Got just under my initial goal, but I know there is .25 out there somewhere

It was so nice out today, I didn't have too much time to race. I was happy to see it didn't take as long as usual to get back down to the same times I finished my last session with. I'm still honestly not too happy though, I keep botching either the 1st or last sector so my final time isn't there yet. Till then I'll just keep on truckin 👍

T1: 13.977

tried it for a bit, using 280 top speed, and progressed to:
13.784 (seen .69x)
52.876 (.788 with a botched double right:ouch: )

dont think i can improve on this time, as it would require too much needle threading to shave any more off it.
 
saw a better t1 of 14.116 and a .226 faster lap but the t2 was .083 slower so i'll leave it as it is for luxy.

the leaderboard is updated up untill week 88.
within a few days the promised board starting with week 93 will be there too.
crxnut/mike and me have taken over this nice little wrs task from colby.

Understandable. And you BETTER come back. I don't want to think that you left because you got tossed up into division one and you get discouraged... You have the ability to be faster than me sometimes, so I know you're good enough.

And we appreciate that you're willing to stick your head in and help out with the leaderboard still! 👍👍 Thanks man!

I don't get this. I ran .6 faster at the line but my splits are slower than my previous. I guess it's not over until it's over! splits not worth posting but I am happy with the final... so far that is.

i was wondering in the begining of the week if 280 gears would be benificial, sacrifice some top speed on the strait for better acceleration through the rest of the course. i think i'll give it a try. (went back to 300 gears a few days ago)

i tell you what, a car like this on this course is a pain. NOT my cup of tea. the first turn isnt giving me much trouble anymore and thanks to pics posted in the photomode thread i've figure out how to get through turns 2 and 3, but i tell ya that second to last turn is a bish trying to get through there fast (bout 105) usualy i end up cliping the inside wall and ping-ponging it down to the double right. :lol:

I tried it both ways and came to the conclusion that even though accelleration is a bit faster @ the 290 setting, the 300 setting put me in a better powerband RPM range in certain very key situations during the lap. This varies from driver to driver no doubt but I tested both extensively and that's the conclusion I personally came to. It's also worth noting that the 290 setting gets results faster but in the end, to me, 300 is superior.
 
FYI to angelcreator, I use DS2, not a DFP controller. Not that it really matters just letting you know that it says DFP on the leaderboard. Going home tonight to finally start "really" racing this combo! :sly:

No it's nothing like that, I'm just not having fun with GT4 right now,
I even tried driving the Suzuki GSX-R/4 today but couldn't get into it.

I'm not getting that little bit of oversteer I need to get clean exits-early throttle inputs slide the nose more than I'd like. Tried to "flick" the back end out to achieve this but generally get a four-wheel drift, understeer, and no exit speed. Still figuring out the double right after T2, and I'll never get comfortable with that narrow left kink before the final right.

There is much to be gained here.

I think I'm about done with this one all I really need to do is just literally wait for the right lap to happen, its all there and ready to go but time is of the essence, but I know there is .2 out there for me I've seen it and watched pass me bye :ouch: Here's my final splits (most likely)

280 gets you through the bendy bits quicker:sly: but 290 gives you that top speed on the straight.:guilty: Oh why can't we have 285? Rhetorical question.:grumpy:

I noticed that as well... I've run many laps with 280, 290, and 300... I find the 300 to be just a tick faster than the other gear-settings, because you're in a better part of the power-band at more points during the race...

EDIT: My newest splits,
T1: 14.054 (saw a 13.975 but screwed it up later)
T2: 54.759 (saw a 53.9xx...)
END: 0.9 sec faster than before.

Think I can shave another 0.5 sec or so... Heck, if I can hit all my marks all in one lap, I can prolly shave a whole second off this thing... Fun challenge this week! I'm loving it.

EDIT 2: More splits, after another 40 laps or so...

Well lets see, gave it a go with 280 gears, I managed to see a 53.7 once but of course then the tight left ate me. havent seen annother one of those. Then i came back with annother 53.9 and shaved a good portion off my final time so i'm kinda happy with my time but yeah, no. Give it annother go tommorow.

ARRRGGHH... I keep seeing 13.9xx and 53.7xx, but I just can't make a clean lap and get those times all at once... I'm 0.044 sec away from my final-time goal, and I know I can get that if I can just do a 13.9 and a 53.7 in the same lap and have it be a clean lap...

I haven't worked this hard to shave off 0.044 sec EVER. :)
 
GAH! Seen a handfull of 53.7s and a 53.6 but i blew them ALL in the narrow left just before the final turn. yeah, kinda annoying. Anywho, I'll probably be submiting the time i've got now but may as well give her a couple more runs tonight.

This is a MEAN combo!!! :P It won't let me stop playing it! I'm not satisfied with my lap so I can't stop... Waaaaaah.

Seen down to 13.741 for T1, 53.3 I think for T2, but T3's the only thing that matters, and my fastest clean lap is .7 from my goal. My fastest dirty lap is .2 from my goal. My goal should be relatively easy to attain, but it's been evading me for like an hour and a half, almost two hours now! Bastard!

And, inferno's so far into D2 already I'm suprised that he wasn't promoted two weeks ago. :P

Edit: F it! I'm going to bed. Tomorrow night better bring me something pretty, or else I'mma be PISSED. Gnight y'all.

you aint wrong there mate, have been so close in getting sub 53 at T2, but keep on screwing it up ever so slightly, will get there hopefully...

I was onto a good lap with the 52.8 but botched the final corner... understeer :-P
 
Nice splits Kart! :) The in parentheses numbers are the ones that you've seen, correct? Very nice. :cool:
