Well the car and its gearing totally sux imo, no low end torque whatsoever and shifting gears from 1st to 2nd? Hahahaha......tough combo but I'm I'm not feeling it (yet).

A bad craftsman always blames his tools. ;)

Wow you guys are fast. I don't see where I can pull another 2 seconds out in the first sector.

I'm using my DS2 instead of my normal wheel because the feedback is making it unclamp itself, but I still don't see 2 seconds coming from that.

But still, I'm in front of some Div 1 drivers as of now.

EDIT: *leans over and whispers* "That guy is using 1st?"

Looks like I'm going to be sitting this one out - can't seem to keep the car off the walls. Oh well, maybe next week... :indiff:

Cheers. :)

no 1sty geary. bad, no good.

I can't seem to get a clean lap, i always touch something just by a whiska. Its kinda getting me down but this what T3's im hitting so far 1'56.045

Not putting anything concrete as of yet, but this combo calls me in. Good show, Sphinx. 👍👍👍

Looking at 1'58.2 T3's.

Cheers,
Jetboy

Edit: Sod it. This is too good to put the controller down.

T1: 46.244
T2: 1'25.279
T3: 1'57.417

Just a little faster than last time:

45.222 / 1'24.914 / 1'56.916

Yay!

I had a couple 44 sec T1 times, but I blew it somewhere else on the track. :guilty:

EDIT: It still blows my mind how some of you are getting 43 sec first sector times. I'm doing (seemingly) almost perfect runs, and I'm 2 sec slower.

No, its just that 2nd is so bogged down its like the car is begging me to go into 1st and it does just fine....until I shift into 2nd then it, it gets beat by my ghost, lol. I have no choice but to keep it in 2nd and then with its horrible delay while drifting makes for a tough rally combo. Just for kicks I took out the 206, so much better hehe, but I"ll give it another chance :).

Site is working.

LeaderBoard Updated

And to all driver's who have not done so, can you please help me by
putting what division you are in and what controller you use in your sig.

Thankyou,
James

I think I may have to have a go at this. I've been meaning to drive this car ever since I got GT4, but never managed to get around to it. And Tahiti doesn't bother me really... Just gotta find the time! I wish I had some time for last week's race, it was a nice one too!
I just restart everytime I touch the wall or get so close that it would be tough to tell.
I suggest just doing full laps for a while until you learn the full track... 👍
Another one bites the dust. :sly:
 Indeed! That's awesome...

do enjoy the odd rally will stick my snout in for this weeks race... ok after about 20 minutes

45.050
1'24.387
1'55.857

lack of power makes it hard to get the nose in, and drifting costs time, almost like a normal road race this week, trying to keep understeer/oversteer to complete minimum to get the time down, a bit of time left in there, not sure how much though...

I'll definitely be giving it a full go this weekend. 10 minutes isn't much time for any track, as we all know. It's just that I've got 2 final exams (1 today, 1 tomorrow) that I need to study for first.

Update:

0'43.959
1'23.335
1'54.676

I'm getting close to my limit now, unless I can adapt my driving style to trim more than .500 off my current time.

What a title! 100% True. Though... Noticed it's another week with a car starting with 'A'? Audi Quattro :P

God, what an addicting combo. I'm still trying to figure out whether my lap was clean - a closer lap is not possible. On that seemingly-endless right-hander after T1, I almost touched the wall - the picture shows about a centimeter between my rear and one of the outside-leaned sticks on the outside of the corner - yet the speedo & G-meter show now change other than the usual powerslide rumble on the G-meter and the speed-loss of a 120-40 degrees backwards de-accelleration... Another closey moment was on the transition back to tarmac - the front was pointing at the edge of the first tarmac left-hander, yet the understeer saved my ass. Pictures - to follow...

Though, that replay will probably be passed by tomorrow - teachers are on strike tomorrow, so that frees up another day :D

Is the DS2 the controller of the week here? I stopped using it all together, but I have a feeling it helps this week. Can anyone confirm?

45.580
1'26.274
1'58.662

I'm not sure, Jake. I persoanlly can't drive with the DFP in rally. In fact, I'll be lucky to get round the first turn without hitting the wall with it. :dopey:

Same here, although I use the DF normally, no money for the pro.

I have a bit of a handicap though, since I've never had to play gt4 with the ds2 before. Lots of overcorrecting...

I did some reinforcing on my makeshift cockpit. All this racing I have been doing over the past year has loosened everything up. I also unscrewed the button plate on the DFP and tightened the steering screws. Much better, just like new now. I think my new splits benefitted from that garage work... :sly:

45.447
1'25.426
1'57.144

Well, I have the consistancy of a better run every time, but then I lose a lot of time at the left kink before the T1 line... Anyone else with a similar problem?

I love how the car reacts, however. Nice and slow, almost refusing to transfer weight. :D Weird I do better with ancient cars... :odd:

Cheers,
Jetboy

Muy Bien! :) Great car choice Jerry 👍 Just started this, an early time from me:

45.822
1.25.524
1.57.619

We'll have alot of fun checking replays for this week :scared:

EDIT: Div2 DS2

0'44.2
1'23.1
1'54.1

I finally saw a 43.8 T1, but I'm getting close to my limit -- any lost revs or tiny bit of understeer and my ghost leaves me for dead :scared:

My thumbs hurt :ouch: :D
