Title says it all.

- Almost all seasonal races gone. Kaz says himself there are not enough A-spec races, and then next thing he does is to remove a big chunck of them. I'm not even gonna try to search for a race event to test the 86, I'm so fed up with that.

- No wheel change on some standards. The Seven Fireblade has a cool cockpit, but is stuck with the standard wheels. There is absolutely no consistency, as I'm used from Kaz.

- Car wash tickets. Really? The 50 credits for a useless car wash is too expensive?!

Seriously? you focus on a single car problem, complaining about not having to pay money for car washes and seasonal events gone? There is so many good points of this update, why can't you just be like everyone else and appreciate what PD does for the game.

I feel your pain the only thing that I really like is that I can actually buy my DLC cars from the dealership, I hate the Chase cam most of all, makes me a bit sick

Seriously? You have to seek out the one thread where people can complain about something they don't care for and complain that they're complaining?
There are so many threads for positive feedback, why can't you just be like everyone else and appreciate that not every thread is for you?

I'm not complaining though, I just havent seen anything I really care for. and I have to agree that car wash and oil change tickets are friggin useless. Like I can't get 300 bucks to do both? It's just a waste of someone's time that had to implement that.

I agree with the A Spec races being removed, that is a disappointment.

cant change standard rims? oh boo hoo, go play NFS thanks. Its a simulation game, not pimp my ride.

Seriously? Changing wheels is for pimping rides?

I'll go let all the real life racers with aftermarket wheels know "swiftwilly" on the internet said it's unrealistic, or something.... :dopey:

Removing the seasonal races is really hurting the game. At least With the FF, FR and 4WD seasonal events there was always at least one event that I could enter, except if I wanted to drive a MR or Ruf. With those gone, we're back at square 1 (or better: GT5 1.0x).
They just crippled the already suffering gameplay even more. But yes we do have more tickets now.

The only thing I can complain about if the removal of some seasonal events, but seasonal events are an online function that are around for a limited time. Not a part of the game itself like the A-spec races.

The update is great for me. Been waiting for change wheels on my standard cars since the day i bought the game.
About the Seasonal Events, i'm okay with that, i finished almost all of them, no point for me in race again. If i want money i don't care in race a 5 laps race for it now.

The only thing that made me disappointed is, the new Chase camera change... really?! Looks like i'm playing Forza and not Gran Turismo. Not like :(

But overall is a good patch, just if we could turn off this new camera thingy.

Why?? Why have eliminated almost all the seasonal events?? kaz why?? :( :(
such action is incomprehensible. Why remove them?

I must say, I don't understand this philosophy of "add more cars, take away races." But what really gets me is that the seasonal they added is for American cars only, but there aren't any new American cars added. Don't get me wrong, I love driving the American cars, I just don't get this line of thinking. I guess the next DLC will be all American cars with a European sedan seasonal event.

You can change rims on most the cars, and that's great. So how you could complain about that is beyond me. Yes I would love white rims on my NOMAD Diablo, but I can have them on almost every other car on which I want rims.

What ISN'T fantastic is the selection of rims. I sense a disturbing lack of American Racing Vintage and NASCAR rims for muscle cars, and most of the best looking rims aren't there. I certainly hope the selection is expanded a bit soon. Especially with those NASCAR style rims and the Vintages at least. Nothing in the selection works with muscle cars.

But other than that........what a fantastic update. And the PACE CAR LIGHTS WORK NOW!!!!! YAY!!!!!!

Wow! It's not like you to complain kabooi, you're usually so positive:)

I can't believe that someone can still complain when we have got one of the best updates so far.

-No more a spec races? Who races them anyway? The AI is so boring to race against. Online's where it's at.

-So you can change wheels for like 90% of the cars and you complain about single car. (IMO that car doesn't even need a wheel change...)

-And we have one more feature in the game and you complain about it's existance. What harm does it do to have one more feature???

I'm fed up with all the complaining... If you don't like the game, don't play it. There are many games where you can change the wheels for every frigging car you want. Like nfs. Even body kits w00t!

My biggest complaint? The fact Kaz hasn't found a way to drop Morris Marina's on the people who incessantly complain. That and the fact I won't be able to devote an entire day to playing with my new GT 86.

Look on the bright side. 4 hours ago GT5 had over 800 cars that couldn't have their rims changed. Now there's probably only 50-75.

I'd complain about the lack of rims for these cars if anything. Not the fact that there's a few that still can't be changed. Pick your battles. Complain about important things that makes sense to complain about and it will probably be more likely something is done about it.

For me all GT5 needs now is being able to see the body in standard cockpit view. And more wheels to select from for standard cars.

Not much left to go!!! Come on Yamauchi-San, make it perfect with those 2 things.

Yeah, i didn't expect that to happen. I really thought they were going to be there forever, or atleast get integrated into A-spec at some point, but i guess i was wrong.

I want more wheels to choose from. I dont like the fact that the tire wear, and grip physics have changed. For racing I think its great, but being I am also into the drifting community it sucks. Because now the cars that had perfected tunes on them, now all have slight understeer condition that means more time in tuning them than actually enjoying them.

You have got to be kidding me? Another free update and another disappointment thread?

The point about removing the seasonal events is spot on. I honestly don't know why they'd remove those, it's like with every good thing PD releases they always go out of their way to find a way to take something away. Why would they take away races from a racing game? Anyways, already emailed Sony about this so hopefully they read this board and realize that they dun goofed (again).

Your other complaints are not really complaints and more whining.

👍👍👍👍
Absurd. Why remove the races? I totally agree with you.

Like we didn't have that back in GT3. Or GT4. Not to mention the Premium Cars of GT5.

I think they're relevant because
1) more proof that when PD does something, they can never get it 100% right or consistent.
2) I keep reading that the reason FM4 has a better car list and that we don't get new tracks is because the PD team is small and it takes time to produce new content. Yet they had time or gave priority to implement these useless tickets.

Ironically the most whining in this thread is done by those telling me I should appreciate losing all those seasonal events.

Who defines whether an update's contents are 'right' or 'wrong'?

I think the new features rock, we could do with more seasonal races sure, but I'm sure they will come.

Look at it this way - PD are supporting GT5 long after release with tasty updates. Then look at another developer like Bethesda, who recently released Skyrim on the PS3, a fundamentally broken game. Bethesda won't even acknowledge PS3 owners with the promise of a fix.

There's an old saying, 'use honey, not vinegar'. And things are more likely to go your way 👍

Oh....OK, I thought it was just me. It seemed like all my cars had some major understeer now.
