GT5 2.0.2 Disappointment Thread - Read post 123 first

No signs of Subaru version of 86. No Scion badge version either.
DLC cars aside, ok update. Seasonals was bland and boring anyway, now atleast they have A spec "feel". Nice adjustments to camera. Wheels, like PD said, look bad on st cars.

PD are supporting GT5 long after release with tasty updates

Vanilla version is 6/10 game.

Not really a disappointment, but more like a fix that will make some freebie users sad. DLC tracks are now only playable if you bought the DLC. No more mooching off other players. I personally think it's fair, but just to voice that out here knowing some people will complain about it.

I agree with the A Spec races being removed, that is a disappointment.

Did that guy just say the rims look bad on standard cars? Wow. I think they look great.

To me that high quality touch really makes the cars look better overall, and can make some of the formerly most horrid looking cars pretty decent to look at.

Maybe the old seasonal events don't work so well with the new ai in the game so they're retweaking them. If they bring them back that would be fine but they should be communicating that in the update log.

I have a couple of disappointments with the update of my own.

1. The 86 Concept II is not free for people who purchased the complete DLC package (as it now appears it counts as only 1 DLC purchase) *sigh*

2. I got my shiny new 86 in Sterling Silver Metallic and it came with a paint chip, I thought I would buy one in Metallic Orange as that colour would look awesome on any number of cars but you don't get a paint chip from it.

Other than that - great to see PD working on more content and improvements...

The new chase cam is dreadful.

And the new tyre wear almost lost me the Suzuka 1000km. (I was doing it before the update was released, and then the tyre wear changed up completely.)

Seasonals - Season
A season is a division of the year, marked by changes in weather, ecology, and hours of daylight. Seasons result from the yearly revolution of the Earth around the Sun and the tilt of the Earth's axis relative to the plane of revolution.

According to this the seasons will change as long as the earth rotate around the sun...
Ergo seasonal events is bound to change. Some will come, others will go.

I am not a fan of reducing the number of A-Spec events, but the fact that PD has named these events "Seasonals" may be a hint that they will change by the seasons.

Don't let this ruin the fact that PD just put out a great FREE patch, with many features wich the community has been calling for.

The seasonsals were never meant to be Permanent, it's most likely Kaz forgot to delete all those ones that got deleted when they were supposed to be deleted.

But it's not a great move if you delete about 10 seasonals and you add only one. That's not common sense.

Oh, I agree...there should have been some warning but even though I didn't finish them I'm not that bothered...I guess, It's more online racing and/or endurance again!

Title says it all.

- Almost all seasonal races gone. Kaz says himself there are not enough A-spec races, and then next thing he does is to remove a big chunck of them. I'm not even gonna try to search for a race event to test the 86, I'm so fed up with that.

- No wheel change on some standards. The Seven Fireblade has a cool cockpit, but is stuck with the standard wheels. There is absolutely no consistency, as I'm used from Kaz.

- Car wash tickets. Really? The 50 credits for a useless car wash is too expensive?![/QUOTE]

EHm ehm....restoring the rigidity of some SUPERCARS like ferrari, cadillac ciens and so on can cost you more than 250k credits...............
