Before this new update I could strangle about 10 laps out of soft tires. So, old version has 10 laps on soft, new version has 8-9 on HARD. Not exactly a positive change there.

I am sorry man I meant soft my bad.

Whatever dude. On the other hand, one thing I'm pleased with this update: HUD options. That's nice because I can now reduce the spam on the screen. Removing all the un necessary info without turining off completely the whole HUD. That's come in handy expecially online.

I really have no complaints...even tho some seasonals are gone, you don't get automatically bumped out of the events menu when you finish a race. It used to be so annoying to have to go back into the seasonal menu and start all over. Also, has anyone noticed little things like being able to navigate from the NCD straight into GT Auto and not being bounced all over the place like before. Whatever PD does to improve the UI, is OK in my book, considering we've suffered thru possibly the worst UI I've ever seen until now. It's still pretty weird, but getting better.

Glad to see people actually telling it like it is, and not kissing the backside of PD like so many others. Ever think if they would have got it right weeks/months out they wouldnt need to update a year after the fact?

Whether you like Forza or not, you should be thankful it came out otherwise I bet there would have been no updates or DLC for GT5 lol.

I think Kaz has no sense. I dont have much respect for him at all.

Seems again PD has shown how consitent they are....at being inconsistent. We will give you 1000+ cars, but only 200 or so are premium. You can change rims on standards now...well ok not all. We know A-Spec is lacking but here are seasonals...ok now we take those away. Its a habit for them it seems. I am scared to see what GT6 brings if Kaz is still in charge. They need a changing of the guard.

I'm disappointed at the very limited wheel selection for standard cars. Also it looks like it's always the same regardless of the car (at least those I've tried, of different brands).

all seasonals, special events and time and drift trials (without new records) should be available at all times.

removing them is just removing content from the game for no reason.

No worries my man. On a side note, if you have the new update installed could you tell me if the "shake" effect on the in-car view has been toned down or is it just me?

I was thinking the same thing bro, I kinda like it. I can't wait to see how GT5 is in the summer. What I like about KAZ and PD is they keep working, It would of been super easy for them to stop and focus on GT6. KAZ Keep it coming!

And now, for some reason, all you think they'll not add more Seasonal Events like they were doing from the beginning?

I don't recall anyone saying that in this thread.

What irritates me is they removed a huge variety of races to do without even explaning the reason for doing so or warning us. Now we have to wait God knows how long to get that variety back. It would not have been so bad if they told us their reason for removing content instead of keeping everything a secret.

Title says it all.

- Almost all seasonal races gone. Kaz says himself there are not enough A-spec races, and then next thing he does is to remove a big chunck of them. I'm not even gonna try to search for a race event to test the 86, I'm so fed up with that.

- No wheel change on some standards. The Seven Fireblade has a cool cockpit, but is stuck with the standard wheels. There is absolutely no consistency, as I'm used from Kaz.

- Car wash tickets. Really? The 50 credits for a useless car wash is too expensive?!

For wear they should do like it happens on PC sims. With an option where user can select normal, 2x, 4x, 8x and same for fuel loads.

Wow. I mean, like wow. Really? Remove the TC from the building.

Pretty much sums up my feeling man. Someone has always got something to complain about no matter how good an update is to the "majority" of the people.

I will admit though, taking away some of the Seasonals is a head scratcher. I hope they rotate more for the coming "seasons."

To all of the people being massive hypocrites and entering this thread just to complain about its existence, explain to me how removing a good amount of the single player events in a game whose most frequent complaint is lack of events (including the only events offline where you can use two of the cars in the game) is a good thing.

Don't be a smartass and look up "Seasonal" in the dictionary. Don't throw out facile nonsense along the lines of "well, just play online then." Don't talk about how it was a "bonus" for PD to actually leave something that made the game better in the game, because that was a dumb excuse the last three times people have used it to defend PD making changes to the game that did nothing but make it worse for some people. Don't say "just wait until more Seasonals show up." Don't say "look at all the other stuff PD did."

Explain to me, in simple terms, why people should be happy that there are now considerably less things to do in Single Player for this game.

I have only had a few moments with the new patch last night but the only disappointment I've had was my mk1 VW Rabbit GTI can not get the BBS RS wheel. Only BBS wheels are the LM-R and RE-MG (I slapped the RE-MG one my main white one, will slap the LM-R on another car). The only reason why I say this is when first mentioned that standards will get wheels I loved the idea to put the BBS RS wheel on it. I'm a big VW/Audi fan and the BBS RS wheel is the most popular wheel to put on the mk1 Rabbit GTI. Not the biggest complaint but just a little disappointed I couldn't put this iconic wheel on the original hot hatch. Loving the idea I can put wheels on standards though, even if not on every one of them :)

Don't need to tell you why I'm happy. But I'm sure we'll get more seasonals.

Maybe you & kabooi should move in together ....then you can just moan at each other.

Keep smiling.

Answer the question or don't bother responding. When you are claiming people should not be disappointed with an aspect of something, it would do well for your position to actually give a reason why.

Regarding the seasonals, I'll give it a try based on what I think that happened. I've played the new seasonal and it was more fun than the others, probably because the AI is responding better and the whole new concept of prize cards make it more worthy than before.

I think they'll just release more following this new model. That's my simple tought about that.

They already edited some of the older ones to that model though, why not all of them? They may be adding more but that is no reason to remove the other ones.

Well, I was thinking exactly the same as you. So, maybe the whole structure has changed and they had to re-do them all from zero. As we don't know how PD does its programming and how that works, its hard to know why.

It does also therefore beg the question, just how long does it take to program an event? It surely wouldn't have taken more than a couple of hours for one employee to devise say 20 new events to replace the old ones. I mean there is nothing to model, no new game mode to create or anything like that, just add the various variables (tracks, cars, laps, payout, prize etc) and add it to the online code. You'd think, anyway.

I agree with you on that point. Even if we don't know how long it takes, I believe it wouldn't take more than 2 hours per event, to program and test.

Seriously? You have to seek out the one thread where people can complain about something they don't care for and complain that they're complaining?
There are so many threads for positive feedback, why can't you just be like everyone else and appreciate that not every thread is for you?

Clever. Allow me to continue the taxonomy series. I believe we're at Family level now:

Next up: Order level. Target = website

Come on people...they work their ass to satisfy us gamers and all you do is complaint, stop being ungrateful

GT is what a year old now. PD assumes that everyone has played the original seasonal events to death (i know i have). So whatever they take away im sure they will replace it fairly shortly. I know this isnt everyones first time to the rodeo. PD likes to annoy then bring joy 2 fold.

I have a valid reason to complain.

They have ruined the only camera angle that I could use without getting motion sickness after an hour of play.
