EDIT: He has another blurry GT pic BTW, taken the same day (25/8/09) 45 minutes later with the same camera. It is the F2007 on Nurburgring.

Yea, the other pic is the F2007 at the Nurburgring??? Can someone verify it's authenticity?
Looks like it came from a video already seen from a demo shown at 24hr Nurburgring race.

LOL We, went completely off-topic.
The F2007 pic taken from the video posted indicates the intention of cheating people, because it was taken just 45 minutes later than the downloading pic.
However the edition of the downloading pic is a really good one, specially on the title part.

if it was just a bog standard public beta most people would know about it, primarily because most Beta members can't keep stum about releases, let alone a huge game like this.
Only annoying thing is if it was legit and a beta was out, i'd probably be able to get a share

Im not sure whether this beta is a hoax or not but its perfectly plausible.
I've been involved in many betas and this is how it usually works. For the first few weeks only a very select few have access i.e 20 people, this is increased to 50. Often you won't find footage being posted on youtube from these people because they are often employees who don't want to risk losing their jobs.
After around a month of testing a small amount of beta keys are distributed to websites such as Eurogamer, Gamespot etc. These keys are then increased over the next few weeks. Sometimes after this beta testing a demo is launched for everyone to try although this doesn't always happen.
So with this in mind I would keep checking gaming websites over the next few weeks because this beta may actually be true. It doesn't matter how much testing a developer does in house it will always be the community that finds bugs/glitches.

The actual downloading screen looked fake to me just from simple inspection, the '5 Beta' text does not have the same edge artefacting as the rest of the text that is in the same plane, and is fractionally lighter in colour..
The fact the Nurburgring shot is clearly from released videos is class.. he didn't try to hard did he...

The racepro demo is slightly different. I said to my friends prior to launch that the lack of demo made me nervous because they obviously wasn't very confident of their product. Some demos encourage sales but a RacePro demo would of seen many pre-orders cancelled!I think it's fake because PD never said there will be GT5 Beta .. we've already seen stuff like this before (ex. Race Pro Demo).
P.S. Screenshot isn't enough .. we want a video
Im not sure why so many are sceptical. Do you honestly think PD will launch GT5 without intensive testing which cannot be done in house? Mark my words there will/is a Beta but the question is who will get access and will this be public?

If this is real, and if someone has the beta code from everyone who posted here, please may i please have the beta code? I missed out on a whole lot on the ps3 including the home beta which my friend recieved the code for, and i missed out on the uncharted 2 beta too. Please please please!!!!!!
