Well I can honestly say that was FUN!!! in 3rd coming into the chicane on Nurburg and between me and 1st is less then half a second its all about driver error and gravel traps :D

I reckon the Integra's will be strong as they seemed to have a bit more low end grunt compared to the Volvo, but carrying enough momentum out of corners the Volvo is a serious contender to do the Integra's on the straights, the focus looks the most balanced so far

Once more and more interest is shown and we get close to the 16 entrants and complete a season we could maybe start up ideas about 8 teams of 2 in same coloured cars and points towards manufacturers tiltle :) buts thats a long way off yet just and idea

haha yeah thats was a good race!

and yeah, the integra seems to have the all round edge, the ford seems to slow in the corners though

and yeah wow that would be amazing, lets see how this series goes then move it on a bit!

As a huge BTCC fan (I attend all 10 Rounds every year)

I would definatly be interested in joining this..

How about a 330i? Is that too heavy for this field? Only reason I bring this up is because while the 135i has my engine and I can do cockpit view, I can drive a 330i that looks pretty much like my car and I'd probably rather have that for the replays and what not. Though I dont have an issue driving the 135i either...
 
Hmmm lets look at your list:

BMW 135i (375bhp max) not got one yet.
Honda Integra Type R With Race Modification (305bhp max) I got a Prelude!
Ford Focus ST (340bhp max) Got one but might be over the HP limit
Honda Civic Type R (325bhp max) yep, and a Mugen one
Volvo C30 got the R version from the seasonal# 4 race

well you can if you want, it's just i know that the 135i is very similar in laptims to the others, but it's up to you
 
Okay just tested out the Focus and could hit 1:39.0s in GP/D. Power to weight ratio of 3.43 KG/HP. I'll try the Integra to, those times seem uncompetitive, but just need down force I think so a real RM car may be better.

yeah 1:33 is similar to me i think

and yes, the rm integra is a beast compared to the ford!
 
Think the difference is going to be those 2 little letters between the Hondas and the BMW, Volvo and Ford....RM is quite a big leap racing wise compared to the GT Auto wings the 3 euro cars can add
 
yes i know.
hence why the power difference is so great. but trust me, i've done plenty of races, and the bmw and volvo are almost exact same pace as the integra
 
Are we going to run with the same points system as the btcc?
Like 1 point for getting pole and so on...

And are we going to have quaifing for the first race then the second race will start in the position we finshed in the first race and then have a revesred grid from the results of the second race for the third race?
 
I know what you mean, but there are/have been privateers in different cars before, im just trying to limit it

yeah point for pole, and yes, race starts will be as btcc
 
I'v just done a 1:31.705 in the intergra and a 1:32.334 in the 135i both on racing softs round GP/D.
I think there still a bit more time to get out of both of these cars but there pretty simlair.
 
BMW 320i of mine get used...

is Mazda Atenze touring car eligible?

Yes, this is true. The list at the beginning was a good starting point and if you want to stick strictly to it, then so be it

There's a few more that should be eligible though of course. Two in my garage that spring to mind are the BMW 320i
touring car (std) and the Integra touring car (std)

Either of those would be better than the tubby Focus that i hastily decided was the one for me :crazy: :lol:

As far as p/w ratio's go with them, i think the BM would need a kick up the bum to about 315bhp, and the Integra is
just dandy as is imo

yes, i am online now!

and well i'm trying to stick to it as possible, however more different cars the more interesting it will be.
and i've decided to get as many people as possible to do a practice race this weekend to see how close the competition is, and perhaps make some changes.

Sent you an add request last night...would be pretty interesting for the US guys since we wont be able to run with you guys until the day before the race each week (if the races are on sunday 9pm UK). That is assuming the US guys have jobs...
