You have removed "Red Mica Metallic" for the "Toyota Sprinter Trueno BZ-R '98". The "Toyota Corolla Levin BZ-R '98" also has a "Red Mica Metallic", but not a "Super Red II" (which the Sprinter does). These are identical cars (according to the descriptions), so should be the same colours.
I have not got a Levin for comparison (am waiting for the UCD), but am suspicious...
I'll be posting here and in the other colour thread to pass on what I think is either a new bug in the 2.06/2.07 GT5 updates or else a bug that has been there before but not previously uncovered relating to apparently new unique paint chips for previously received colour paints. With the recent introduction of the new Expert level B-Spec events, I received quite a few second placings and was awarded the customary Paint Chip. For Seasonal events previously, second placings were very rare for me, so I had not received any paint chips to be absolutely sure that this bug did previously exist. Here is the conumdrum; so far for 100% of paint chips received as a prize for second place in Seasonal events any new paint chip that has been awarded for the first time, eg Black for Dodge when checked against your inventory of Dodge Black paints appears to be a new unique paint chip (no other Black paint chips ticked as a match). I didn't think much of this to begin with until I started receiving new paint chips for colours where they were previously only available for one model car only. This is why I believe that this is a bug as Polyphony would not have all of sudden & unannounced introduced a whole slew of new Paint chips after almost a year and half after game's first introduction. Has anyone else observed this behaviour in the game so far?
Like I said before not many players are going to be aiming for second place especially those who also collect the Paint Chips too, which is why this may not have been seen before. Additional testing taking place at the moment; but this new Paint chip award appears to be present for all Seasonal events which offer this as a prize, and provided you have not been awarded the same colour chip twice the new chip will always appear to be unique.

To clear this up further, if you are a paint chip collector you will have become accustomed to sorting the paints by Manufacturer & alphabetically, and normally use the L1 + X combination to mark paint chips, when this is done any duplicate chips (these are separated by line but are actually the same chip) will also be ticked & since GT5 has a FIFO process then the action to delete or copy doesn't always apply to the chip you have selected it can happen to one of the duplicates. These are not classed as unique chips. The new bug will issue a color for the same manufacturer for the same color name as in my earlier example "Black" - Dodge as according to the database is available from 5 cars, but experience previously only 2 unique variants were available. If the paint chip is now obtained as a prize for 2nd place in the Seasonal events, and you are awarded Black- Dodge it will appear as a new unique paint (ie. no ticks for other Black chips from the dodge manufacturer). The paint looks exactly the same as the others so there is no difference in hue/shade only that as far as the Paint shop is concerned this is a new unique version of the paint chip. So far in my testing this is 100% for every new paintchip awarded for the first time (20 out of 20 chips).
I wasn't aware of that selection trick, and just don't use the extended selection since it's introduction in game. As for the 'unselected' chips, I've a long list of 2nd places in seasonals (I like underdogs!). Just like AJ, I think it's just another example of not-very-clean code.@ ajns73

I've made it my life goal to own every car & paint chip in your list, wish me luck .
Big thank you for the effort you put in, I'll let you know if I come across anything strange or not mentioned in your list so you can keep it updated.
1 remark for now: There seem to be 2 different 'Rubino Micalizzato' paint chips (Ferrari - Pearl). 1 light chip and 1 dark. Haven't checked what they look like on a car though.
Thank you, mate. I'm a bit low in money to make a full check. Can you send me both variations of the Ferrari chip? Also, there seem to be a 'Dark Blue Pearl' chip missing for Infiniti, got it off a G20 '90.
Some car chips aren't categorized under current manifacturers. Some chips go under a different maker. Examples: Gran Turismo 350Z (Make: Nissan), Infiniti G20 (make: Nissan), some Amuse S2000 standard models (make: Honda). If you buy a car and don't find the current chip under the manifacturer of that car (usually a tuner), try checking the source car maker.
Thank you mate, you saved me from looking in the forum for a confirmation of the Aurora only Nissan selection 👍New Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) V-Spec II (GT Academy) '94 available in only one colour too. Same as other GT Academy cars, Aurora Flame Blue Pearl (2P)
EDIT: Also the 370 GT Academy '08 in the same colour
By the means of the actual catalogue: yes, they are the same paints.Ok, question? I have a lot of dif paint chips 2717. But I went through and counted the polyphony digital ones ( from second place finishes) and I have over 400 of them. So now I started coming in second in every seasonal race, so I can collect 1reg paint &1 polyphony digital paint. Are they the same colors? I have well over 10,000 paint chips! But just the 2717 different ones.
I actually have a lot more than 400 pd paints, I only counted the singles. Not realizing I have doubles, triples of some polyphony paint chips!
I know 2.07 fixed many paint issues, but I still can't schedule a whole check of the so called 'collectable cars'.It seems that since 2.07 the Citroën Xsara VTR '03 is paintable 👍
That is from sharky?
Weiß is premium color and standard color is only White
I think this car does not have a paint chip:
Audi RS 4 '01 in Misano Red Pearl Effect
but I'm not 100% sure. I can send you the car in a few days, once I've cleared my trading schedule.

I went to paint one just for laughs and it said: "What color do you want?"
Big WTF moment. Glad I didn't waste even more time trying to get all the colors. I can't believe that is the only unpaintable car where this was changed tho.
It isn't. Add the Honda Today and Element, and the Citröen 2CV.
