uck, I had trouble finding this thread this morning. Dunno if anyone else had the same problem or not

As far as I understood, Famine or another mod destickied all threads in this section, and put a link in the FAQ sticky thread, as last edit was Famine's one of 9/4.
It seems that he did the same with the Q&A subforum.

I think the moderator did it to have a more readable forum. I usually subscribe the threads I'm interested in, but I guess this isn't a popular solution. And only a few guys will read the whole FAQ announce: useful guides are at the bottom of the post...
I also think that important resources may remain hidden and unaccessible to the average user, or the newbie.

Good point. Didn't think about that

Hello sir, I think I have another collectible car for you.

I don't know if it was after one of the recent updates but I tried today to paint a Mazda Eunos Roadster VR-Limited (NA) '95 and it wouldn't let, so maybe it's another unpaintable car. I tried with the Miata and MX-5 variants and those couldn't be painted too.

Just thought I'd let you know. Keep up the good work :)👍

Thank you for the info 👍
Is it the Combination-A or Combination-B? Or both?

I think it's both but I'm not 100% sure.

Edit: Also, I've tried to access you stand alone collectible car list but it says I don't have permission.

Now it's shared. I forgot to do it.... one month ago :dunce:

No paint chip for the Toyota ALTEZZA Gita AS300 '01 in Silver Metallic.

Sad but true.

But now some good news: Seat Ibiza Cupra '04 in Imola yellow now gives a chip.

I found this out also. None of the MX-5s VR-Limited can be painted no matter what colour they are in. So its the:

MX-5 VR-Limited (NA"J) '95 (image) Standard
MX-5 Miata VR-Limited (NA"J) '95 (image) Standard
Eunos Roadster VR-Limited (NA) '95 (image) Standard

Job is overwhelming part of my free time, as usual.
I'm going to finish Nissan paint check. It should go more easy after that.

O_O mad PD things
Can you send one to me, please? I'm very busy sending cars to "create" one.

I think I have all. Will mark them as collectable as suggested by jvale 👍

In cataloging this past week, I think I found a paint set that you do not have in the current sheet. I will be double checking. Should have a definitely answer by the end of the week. This would be a second shade of a color already represented in the sheet. I honestly can't remember which one. I have marked in my laptop, but I am at the desktop right now.

Thanks to segovia for the new chip!
Also name changed to Imola Yellow (it was Imola yellow).

I've so much to do that you will be in time before next update :D

It will take long the next update ?
Iam thinking start check my paint chips...:scared:
I mostly have to check ugly Toyota chips ;)
I can't anticipate a release date. Can be in a week or two. Consider using 2.11 cat, then use migration tools to 2.12.

Can you put the missing cars on the front page or something because its getting a little harder to find them

Can you put the missing cars on the front page or something because its getting a little harder to find them
You are right, but I think it's already a lost fight ;)

So far, we only have the following:
CARS NEVER REPORTED TO THIS THREAD. ELUSIVE OR THEY DON'T EXIST IN THE GT5 WORLD?

Lotus Esprit V8 SE '98 Lotus Racing Green Metallic
Mazda Protegé '02 Brilliant Black
Mazda RX-7 Type RS (FD) '98 Pure White
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII GSR '01 Issel Blue Pearl
Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) '02 Sparkling Silver (M)
Toyota CARINA ED 2.0 X 4WS '89 Dark Blue Mica Metallic
Toyota SPRINTER TRUENO BZ-R '98 Red Mica Metallic

Sharing a photo showing switches, car and chip paint OR sharing it online, is the best proof you can provide. This, IF I remember to update the list according to it

EDIT:
Paints checked up to Pontiac: new findings are in OP as usual. Still no trace of a GT5 update with 2012 Academy prizes, but sure we'll have two 'new' cars:
-Leaf GT 2012
-Silvia Spec-R Aero S15 GT 2012

EDIT2:
Paints checked up to Tommy Kaira. Only Toyota, Vauxhall, VW & Volvo remaining.

EDIT3:
Checked Toyota solid, up to Super Red V. I found a new variation of that chip but had to stop my ps3 session :dunce:

EDIT4:
checked Toyota pearl

Last edited:
.... and last Volvo chip.
My chiplist is checked. Yamauchi-san twitted about GT Academy prizes available not before late June. We know nothing about incoming DLCs so there are no reasons to delay 2.12 release (maybe tomorrow).

IMPORTANT THING!!
As I'm supporting migration through nearby versions of catalogue, make sure you have a native or migrated v2.11 before updating data in your sheets.

New chip count: 2632 (42 more than 2.11 catalogue).

I'd like very much to correctly report chip sources, now :)

Catalogue version updated to 2.12.

2.12 (12/05/2012) Fixed: The deep blue Jaguar XFR is Indigo, not Indigo Metallic.
New chips: Audi's Brilliant Black (P0183a, found and gifted by ID_Racing), Fiat's Bianco (P0686a), Giallo Ginestra (P0692a), Rosso Corsa (P0701a), Honda's Championship White (P0918a), Jaguar's Topaz Metallic (P1160a, retrieved by ajns73), Lexus White Pearl Crystal Shine (P1254a), Lotus Mustard Yellow (P1294a), Crystal White by Mazda (P1377a), Schwarz by Mercedes-Benz (P1484a), Mitsubishi's Passion Red (P1662a), Scotia White (P1672a), Yellow Solid (P1677a, retrieved by ajns73), Red Solid(3rd medium shade, P1667a, retrieved by ajns73) and Pyrenees Black Pearl (P1703a and P1703b), Nissan's Crystal White (P1768a), White (P1804a), White Pearl (3P) (P1841a), Peugeot's Rouge Aden (P1982a), Renault's Bleu Methyl (P2116a), Seat Imola Yellow (P2160a, retrieved by segovia), Subaru's "WR Blue Mica " (P2209a), Toyota's Red (P2319a), Super Red II (P2325a), Super Red V (P2329a), Super White II (P2332a), White (P2334a), Dark Blue Mica (P2350a, 4th version!!!), Dark Green Mica (4th version too!!! P2353a), Red Mica (P2358b), White Pearl Crystal Shine (P2362a and P2362b), Blue Mica Metallic (4th again!! P2377a), Dark Blue Mica Metallic (P2383a), Green Mica Metallic (P2398a), Silver Metallic (P2422a, retrieved by ajns73), VW's Schwarz (P2511a, P2511b, P2511c: I had to tune my panel to see all them, and can't describe the last version icon colour compared to the others. Only paint result is noticeable), Black Magic Perleffekt (P2521a and P2521b: again, you need some sort of magic to see them).
Seat's car colour changed to Imola Yellow, in place of Imola yellow. Car also removed from collectable list.
Another 4 collectable cars (thanks to segovia): the Silber Opel Speedster Turbo, the Toyota SOARER 430SCV '01 in Black, the Toyota ALTEZZA Gita AS300 '01 in Silver Metallic and Toyota ARISTO V300 '00 in Silver Metallic don't gift their chips.

As started in 2.08, you still have support for migrate data between your 2.11 sheet and the new one. Migration needs less than 5 minutes. New users don't need migration sheets. Old users that want to migrate their old version to the last one should open their catalogue, migration sheet and a copy of 2.12 barely new release.

3) Repeat steps 2 and 3 for your other accounts (L4-L5809, M4-M5809).
4) Copy your chips database account cells (from D3 to F2592). You will be able to do it in one time even using google docs.
5) Paste into cell D3 of this sheet (data will be pasted from cell D3 to F2592)
6) Go to the bottom rows of each tab and fill up needed account data for new cars and chips.

This is absolutely ridiculous, but I now know what I absolutely must do with my GT5 game save. I will have all of my race tunes and such on my GTP gamesave and my collection on my current save.

Question pertinent to this: What's the garage limit? Because if it's 1200, then I might have to make a few "Collection" Gamesaves. ><'

Garage limit is 2000 cars. Final limit is 7000 (cars-paints-horns-museum cards-helmets-suits).

Duck, I think you done a GREAT JOB here and all people here we have to thank you for this HUGE WORK !!

A BIG THANKS from me sir !! :)

Dropped support for Libre/Open Office. :ill: This means I have to start the process of porting the sheet to Excel. I knew this day would come. I just cannot deal with the limitations of Google Docs. :(

On the bright side, yet another fresh installment of the most complete collectors guide to GT5.

Drevenger is correct. I've 2000 cars and 700o items in my main, plus thousends of museum cards .

Sorry mate, I'm not used to drop features before asking to the community: I did a poll to investigate it and also asked for the chip count sheet. Also what do you think the offline migration sheet is for? The open document is still in OP, but as it gave problems here, I'm adding it to release post too. So, better advertising it well.

OPENOFFICE / LIBREOFFICE SUPPORT HASN'T BEEN DROPPED

You can download the file in OP since release date.
I also added it in release post. My bad ;)

I did not mean to make your work harder. If support for an offline document version has become too difficult or something others don't want, you need not continue it for me. I have already ported 75% of the sheet out to Excel. As for the migration sheet, of course it is for LO/OO. It was support for "missing chips," "ownership breakdown," and "collectible cars" that I was concerned with. I didn't want to have to dig in and write those formulas myself if I didn't have to. Call me lazy. :)

EDIT: Check your conditional formatting for "WIP." When I copied it over it was set for white text on white background.
