It would be really cool if you could import your own music into the game, Oh man what good soundtracks people could come up with. And finally some good racing music. :dopey:

Why do people want trucks? Trucks are lame. They are only powerful for one reason: towing. Just because a car is powerful, that doesn't mean that it will go fast. NO TRUCKS, with the exception of performance trucks like the Xtreme.

trucks can do more thank tow. theres a guy in nebraska with a rcsb 1500 4x4 that ive seen run a best of 10.13. call that lame. truck can be made fast just like cars can and still have their utility if done right. its the best of both worlds. plus the look on the guys face next to you in his ( insert fast car here) when you smoke him in youre pickup is priceless.

NO TRUCKS, with the exception of performance trucks like the Xtreme

the extreme was not a performance truck. it was a pos 6 cylinder truck with a body kit. hardly a perofrmance truck imo.

I didn't know they had superchargers back then(I'm actually not in complete knowledge of how engines worked back then).very cool sounds.

I wonder how that got posted in the GT5 car wishlist thread myself.

I want every stage that the Dodg Ram went trough just to see how it has changed over the years oh yeah and the GMC Sierra too.

I would like to add three Porshes which have been overlooked on the list so far.

Porsche 904 GTS 1964

Porsche 904/6 GTS 1965

Porsche 906 Carrera 6 1966

These cars, the 904 in perticular were very fine race cars and were ahead of thier day tech-wise. the 904 was a street-legal four cyl MR capable of hitting 163 mph, the 904/6 was a 904 with the flat 6 from a 911, and the 906 carrera 6 was an aerodynamic redesign of the 904/6 which could go 170 mph. They were designed by Ferry Porsche's son Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, and I believe that Ferdinand Peich was the designer of the engine for the Carrera 6. the Le Mans version of the 906 Carrera 6 finished right behind the Ford GT Mk. I in either '66 or '67 I'm not sure which.

It's a great list. But one question

1)How will they get the licensing off EA for Lamborghini's, Ferrari's and Porsche's?

Bah, I hate these fan-boy, newbie-bait threads, but what the heck...

There's some great GT2 cars that didn't make it to GT4. It would be nice, and certainly easy for them to make a comeback in GT5:

Venturi Atlantique 600LM
Venturi Atlantique 400GT
Venturi Atlantique Biturbo 300GT
Vector M12
Vector M12 LM
Vector W8 Twin Turbo

LS400 or LS430? Okay, but gimmie options.

See the three GS300 variants. Okay, two are of them are identical, save the wheels. And the US-market ones have no turbochargers.

VCV10 Windom
Shouldn't be in the game based on the dumb name. You mean a '92-'96 Lexus ES300? Not much excitement there, plus the transmission would hesitate more than a Peugeot 905. Gimme the MCV20 ('97-'01) for better driveability and handling, anyhow.

the Nomad Diablo and the JGTC Murcielago

Holden

SSZ Commodore and Ute

CV8Z Monaro- BIG MUST!

HSV
Z series Grange
Maloo R8 Anniversary Edition (Yellow Thunder)- BIG MUST!

Also, you have a problem with your list. Just like Ford and FPV were different in GT4, Holden and HSV are different brands in same way. Putting them as separate brands would entice GT creators to put in at least one HSV. :sly:

Here's a short interview with Kaz. He lists a few cars that are his favorite, so I'm posting it here.

What's happening with the online stuff? Why wasn't it included and when is it likely to appear?
The online feature was a huge portion of the game and my values were weighted to completing and making sure that the standalone game was enough. Providing online capabilities for the game would directly lead to risks, due to the fact that millions of people buying GT would immediately try to hit online.

Regarding the timing of any online features, well, the feature itself is technically pretty much ready. It's just a matter of planning the release, which is currently undecided.

The current trend with driving games is to have extensive street-racer style modding capabilities for the external decoration and personalisation of your car. Is this a road GT will ever drive down?
Gran Turismo, as you know, highly values the quality of the cars and of the beautiful scenery. These are the basics of GT and you have to, first and foremost, make sure these basics are complete and to standard, and these basics must be kept in any upcoming title.

But yes, I would like to implement features that cover lifestyle elements such as modifications or other street racing features. However, if this was implemented in GT4, the overall quality of the game would have been reduced, because we have to make sure the quality of the basics come first.

continues... "When the Walkman first came out, even a person with just one tape would be pleased to have the product. Similarly, I feel PSP is something that people will want as a product"

Many have expressed disappointment that there is still no damage to the car models. Is this something for the future?
As with modifications, I feel that the overall quality of GT4 would have been reduced if we'd included features like car damage. However, this is something I'm looking into for the future.

In addition, there were other areas that I felt I had to take out for the current version, and there are more elements we would like to implement in the next title.

Looking at PSP, how did you feel when you first saw it?
My first impressions were that the product itself was very appealing and attractive - I kind of compare it to the Walkman.

When the Walkman first came out, even a person with just one tape would be pleased to have the product. Similarly, I feel PSP is something that people will want as a product.

This is very unusual for game consoles: consoles are usually considered just a 'box' for the software, as the item itself isn't that different from other game consoles.

Is the development of GT4 for PSP getting the same level of commitment in terms of programming time and effort, and will the final game be notably different from what people already have on their PS2?
Yes. The effort that goes into PSP game development is at the same level as that of PS2 development. Gran Turismo for PSP will be a different type of game.

Have you seen much of PS3? How will the next GT game take advantage of the next hardware?
I have not yet seen the hardware for PS3. Obviously there are features that I want to add to future GT titles, to make the racing more complete, but this is all I can really say at this time.

Finally, how many of the cars that feature in the GT games have you driven yourself?
(Smiles) I've driven about 30 per cent.

OK, so what's your top five of that 30 per cent?
(Laughs, before finally committing to this list)

Ford GT40 (the original!)
Nissan Skyline GTR
Honda S2000
Nissan Skyline GTR R32
Lotus Elise

I think Ferrari agreed to be in GT5, if you look close enough on the preview you can see a red F1 car, and correct me of Im wrong, I think Ferrari is the only one with a red F1 car.

- Ford -
SVT Focus '04 - I know this is roughly a form of the ST170 in Europe but there are color option differences at least.

Taurus SHO '91 - This is the first generation SHO, lighter and tighter then the '92 - '95 cars. The best shocase for the Yamaha powerplant. Probably not that hard to implement if the work to model the second generation cars is going to be undertaken.

- Alfa Romeo -
164s '91

- Maserati -
BiTurbo Coupe '84
BiTurbo E '85
BiTurbo Si '87
BiTurbo 228 '89

Awesome list! Lets home there's even more auto diversity in GT5

Zytek 04S
Mercedes CLK GTR(97)
Dallara Judd
Saleen Widebody
Morgan Aero 8

Some Dream cars I thought up:
Mercery Cougar LM
Cadillac CTS-V LM
Nissan R34 LM
Toyota Supra LM
Maserati Trofeo LM
Lotus Elise LM
TVR Sagaris LM
Ferrari 430 LM

I just need to say it again... (cos I think I already did):

We need every day cars, the stuff you see on the road every day. It's a driving simulator after all...

I want them to make it on the PS3. Then we will get 5 times better grafic. And it will take so long that we could get the Audi R10 in the game. (Audi R8 is dead. :indiff: so next year they will developer a R10. :dopey: )

I allso want Lamborghinis and Ferraris. And some sound that would match the Lamoborghini Murciélago 👍
