Hi everyone, my first post on this forum. I have been reading and watching it for some time, and decided now would be an opportune time to respond.
It is a great place, but sometimes people's tempers get a bit frayed....
Well, of course, the famous prancing horse, charging bull and the wonderful cars from Stuttgart would be wonderful additions and give extra credence to the series, as those licenses seem to be signed to other developers, we have to be realistic.
I concur with many of the suggestions already made. Indeed, PD's willingness to 'move outside the square' so to speak in GT4 by adding Volvo station wagons, Holden SS Commodores and Clubmans (and the myriad of other cars that would not otherwise get a guernsey) is simply fantastic!
But, I would love to see the following cars incorporated:
Nissan:
1991 Australian-delivered R32 GT-R
1991 Australian-delivered R32 GT-R in the three factory colours offered Downunder: winre red metallic, black, and silver. The Australian delieverd cars (of which there were only 100) differed from the Japanese production units by having a 'Nissan' badge on the bonnet (instead of the 'S' badge); had a roof mounted aerial as standard (above the windscreen); and a rejigged tail-light assembly that saw the outer two lights become indicators rather than red tail-lights. The front lip spoiler had a black section along the bottom, and of course, it was only offered in three colours.
1991 Bathurst-winning Group A R32 GT-R
This car was in the corporate Nissan colours of red, white and blue, and run by Gibson Motorsport. It swept all before it in the Australian Touring Car Championship of 1991. Driven by the New Zealand legend Jim Richards, and Australian Mark Skaife. The Winfield livery of the 1992 car would be better but would contravene anti-tobacco laws, so could not included in GT5, hence the 1991 livery's addition here. The 1992 Winfield livery is as famous in Australia, as the blue Calsonic livery is in Japan. A 1:18 and 1:43 scale diecast of both 1991 and 1992 cars are made by Australian model car company Biante, so reference pictures should be easy to find.
Toyota:
Toyota TF101
This was Toyota's first ever Formula One car. It was built and tested at European circuits during 2001 to prepare the team for its baptism of fire the next season. The car ran in plain solid red and white livery, bearing the main 'Panasonic' sponsorship and a few minor sponsors. I have included this car in my wishlist because it would allow PD the opportunity to add a genuine F1 car in genuine livery without contravening the licencing issues involved in the annual Formula 1 computer game franchise. The 2002 and onwards cars are all licenced to another game, but the TF101 is not. Also, I am led to believe that Toyota has supported PD since GT1, so I see the addition of this car as being quite achievable. The TF101 has been made in 1:43 scale by German diecast company Paul's Model Art Minichamps.
I apologise for the inclusion of another two Skylines (I realise some people are tiring of them), but I would like to request two that are a little out of the ordinary. The Toyota F1 car is something very unique and genuine, and would be great to blat around Suzuka and Monaco.
Thanks!
