Those rims...
I don't understand why you would want to intentionally ruin your car like that. Have you no self respect?
I talked to the guy at EbGames and he told me that recently their sony representitive has told them the release date is Dec 7![]()
From the sound of it the game is going to come out smack dab in the middle of the Christmas rush. Not bad as most of us will be going on break right around then and it wont hurt sales.
It appears this has turned into a post my ride thread. I'd be ashamed to post my '95 Corsica but when I get home ill post a picture of me crashing my SV650s in an armature race at Road America.
Thats early. I'd suspect Sony would want to delay it to 2011 now otherwise sales will be decimated. The November 2nd was a deadline by Sony for GT5 hence LBP2 getting delayed etc so GT5 had complete primetime. But ya know PD still missed the big holiday period putting Sony into turmoil.I talked to the guy at EbGames and he told me that recently their sony representitive has told them the release date is Dec 7![]()

Really? There were some people on the GameFAQs forum who said that they were talking to Gamestop, and they said that their Sony Reps told them Nov 30th... Either way, I think we're definitely looking at a release window before Christmas.
Sonys major games were delayed into 2011 because they had a DEADLINE from PD for more than 6 months GT5 in early November. Now Sony have been left with nothing at all against Kinect etc and no major releases at all for the PS3 for the peak holiday period. An absolute calamity.Quick synopsis of the last few days/weeks -
Other than those facts, is there really any point in theorizing when it might come?
- Yes, GT5 was delayed.
- Why? Because KY wants it to be perfect (at least that's the current story). Shocker, eh?
- No, PD hasn't given us a new release date.
- No, Sony hasn't either.
You have proof of this claim that GT5, amongst other, will not be released until after January 1, I assume? Now Sony have been left with nothing at all against Kinect etc and no major releases at all for the PS3 for the peak holiday period. An absolute calamity.
Whatever anyone hears on a gaming forum, or from a gamestop employee is wrong. None of these people talked to a Sony rep. Being a minimum wage employee for Gamestop doesn't give you insider information into what is happening on every single video game available. In fact it gives you exactly zero. Even the managers of each store are told squat.
In their defense, the mag also has it on the calendar toward the front of the magazine (on the 11-2-10 date) and last month they did have a pretty big (for them) feature on GT5. Not nearly as large as using half the mag for god of war like this month's.Just for s**t* and giggles I was looking a the Dec 2010 Playstation Magazine while I was at the grocery store. GT5 was mentioned exactly 1 time in the whole magazine and that was a little aside where they noted the top 20 most wanted games. GT5 was number 2 under Black Ops.
That's it.
What's most likely the biggest PS3 exclusive ever and the words "Gran Turismo 5" appear exactly 1 time in Playstation's own magazine. Meanwhile they had a whole article on NFSHP......
I hate to be negative, and I was really hopeful right after hearing that they were "pressing discs" but this makes no sense. I really hope something comes out at SEMA, because if not, I just don't see how they would release it in 2010. Especially without any advertising.
GT5 has become to Sony what Area 51 is to the federal government. An outward nuisance that they constantly have to address with outsiders. Something that they are grudgingly forced to admit exists because of overwhelming photographic evidence but would really rather not talk about.

who can keep track of what it's called?Sony has it's own mag? Are we talking OPM?
