GT5 Engine Parts

Will GT5 have more realistic tuning? For example, Turbo Kit upgrades, and supporting mods for that turbo, Or supercharger. Pistons, Rods, Vavles, Nitrous Oxide Systems, Manual In-Car Boost Controller. Fuel Systems, Oil Coolers. Just to make the game more fun. I mean everyone would like to create their own monster, with varieties of parts.

GT > All FTW!

Maybe, i'd love to see GT go the extra mile with tuning. Who knows, maybe GT5 will even have horns for sale

There was a huge rumors for engine swaps with any manufacturers, as well some kind of in game web browser to buy car parts.. so maybe we will get selected websites with 100s of parts to buy (in game money of course) and mod it to your car....

it's possible, but just rumors.

We all know GT5 will have body kits, and engine parts, mods, etc... we just don't know to what extant.

I don't care to sort through different manufacturers of parts unless there would be a realistic and accurate difference in performance between, say an AEM and a K&N CAI on a specific enigine. That would be a total sidetrack and knock the game back another month or more.

I have come to appreciate the quick tune feature of Prologue. I think that even if they do make some complex pick-and-choose system, they should integrate all your parts and options into one menu you can access before races.

Me too :sly:

Let's get back on topic.
GT5 will probably feature tuning like GT4 or better. Engine swaps would be awesome but it would have to stay realistic. No 8.4L V10 in a daihatsu.

8.4 V10, hmm behind the seats? sure! 💡 I bet there will be some limitations and classes for that.

Hope they come, GT Series needs a bump in Customization Aspects.

God i hate fast and furious.

I only Liked The First and Tokyo Drift, despite that, its still as Ricer and Fake as NFS: Underground 2 :sly:

Thats a Must, Having Limitations on Engine Swaps, but would be funny to see a V8 Miata :dopey:

And The only thing I used Nitrous on GT4 was Doing Top Speed Tests on La Sarthe With Stage 4 Turbo and Longest Transmission Setup 👍

That would actually make them partially fun though! :(

id love to see it have the horsepower-measuring-machine, and i hope that the cars wear out and become slower over time, then you have to replace spark plugs and all that.

You mean a dyno? I'm pretty sure there will be multiple places in the game where you can view the power of your car, no need to buy an in-game dyno. If they want to go off and do an animation like the oil change or car was every time you want to check your HP... I don't even want to fathom that. The definition of a superfluous feature.

Tire wear is a must, however. Spark plus are pushing it.

And there we go again with the problem "some manufacterers will not allow to swap engines". A Murcielago engine in a F430? (if it´s possible,I don´t know that because I don´t know a lot from engine swapping) I don´t think that won´t be happen... or how was it in FM2?

But I´m sure the most manufacterers will allow that...

I always thought some of the tuning options in GT4 were just ridiculous, I liked the way Forza did it for engine swaps. Tell you what car the engine comes from, such as a race engine used for that car or a more powerful unit from the same manufacturer but from a different model. As long as there is room in the engine compartment to shoehorn it.

Personally, I would like more in-depth rear wing and suspension tuning, and fuel system and radiator tuning. That would do me good.

In my opinion the best tuning for GT5 is:

- Tuning system like the others GT's (you can buy parts from diferents manufacturers). It will be great if we can sell or buy parts online.
- Body Kit like GT2 or GT5P (Lancer Evolution X Tuned).
- Possibility to setup parts (+/- Turbo boost, electronics...).
- All manufacturers or tuning companys have their own parts and they are diferents in performance...

:D:tup:

it was such like I had a supra engined altezza an s2000 engined civic type r and a skyline engined silvia s14 and also a f430 with a f430 gt2 engine (dont ask me why.)

No it wasn't. Nitrous was. NOS is a company who manufactures Nitrous. Nitrous Oxide Systems. God i hate fast and furious.

So what? The system itself is always more or less the same.
He "asked" for NOS and i said it was introduced in GT4 (the name/manufacturer doesnt really matter).
By the way, iirc, its called NOS System in GT4.

I believe that if they're going to implement Body Kits into GT5 they should make them just for aerodynamic purposes.. Brands like VeilSide and crap should be good..

this thread is about engine parts, not body parts. and Veilside is far from good bodykits. All they do is look good, and even that is questionable. Functional bodykits from TRD, RE-Amemiya, Spoon, SVT, MOPAR, AMG etc would be preferable to poser kits.

as for engine parts, well i would love to be able to pick BOV's (blow off valves) for my turbos!!

Blitz, Apexi, Turbosmart etc etc

And be able to actually HEAR them in the game and not that faint piece of crap they have in the game! lol

Turbo Flutter would be even better!

Was in GT2 also, something so simple but so effective and it hasn't been included since.
