GT5 First Review 100/100

I find this very hard to believe. There aren't supposed to be any review copies of the game available at the moment. Although he does mention stuff that we didn't know about (like the Move support), but that could easily be made up. I guess we'll find out more throughout the day though. But as it stands i'm going to say that this is bogus.

New from that review:
- move support
- playlist and folder support for music player
- decals
- AI taking control of disconnected player's car
Strange:
- only 4 themes in course maker

And like I said before. I can't belive that it is truly "review". It looks like gathered informations and speculations in one article.

At first glance, the review contains very poor grammar...

At second glance, the reviewer compares the interface to "porn for car lovers".

...honestly, as I continue, it reads pretty legit! :dopey:

Entertaining, if nothing else.

I'd bet the shirt off my back it's just made up, he's posted a GT5 Prologue My Page screenshot and referred to A class and B class racing which should be A-spec and B-spec. Also the Official Playstation UK magazine review has been pushed back to next month so I doubt the review codes have been sent or the embargo lifted.

They have no copy of GT5.Review is based upon all known information to date.No new screens, no videos, (almost )no new information.

There is a GTPrologue pic in it..and,alot of info might be made up.I mean, the playlist for music...GTPSP has it,and We already knew GT5 had custom soundtrack.But..I wasnt aware of the adding decals part.Has PD said thats possible?

That's not new.:dopey:

Also... review how? I don't think Sony already gave away review copies. So we should stay cool, not paying too much attention to that "review"

It can't be real. It talks about stuff we already know, and the A Class and B Class stuff isn't accurate. All those screens are existing stuff from PD as well, none of that is original......

On topic with review copies, are they always a plain green disc? Do they go to reviewers in blu ray game cases? If legit..he broke embargo.. ,if real.. Was that a review copy of GT5 at that game show is Taiwan?the one where the model had the game cover in her hand?

They normally look like this:

Dunno if they're always red though. All I know is that the PS2 review copys always have been blue.

I posted a comment pointing out the Prologue screenshot and A class rather than A-spec and asked for a track list which has been deleted. It's obviously rubbish and just an attempt to get hits for the site 👎

EDIT: My comment has now been posted but they haven't responded to the question yet.

PS3 review-codes comes in 3 shapes:

- Blu-Ray recordable discs that can only be played on PS3 Debug consoles
- Blu-Ray retail discs that can be played on any PS3 console
- downloadable DLC game that is linked to specific account and can only be accessed by single user

From what I know, GT5 review-code should arrive as normal "retail" promo, but with special casing, special "press feature overwiew" and different disc-art.

In my experience, SCEI/Polyphony never got any kind of "recordable" press-media out (even in days od PS/CD •*PS2/DVD media) and all my previous press-codes were strictly "production" media.

However, at this point I will not speculate have the codes been sent because informations are still very contradictional and - vague.

Indeed, no way this review is legit.

About WRC:

Every race features the wonderful voice over from famed co-driver Sebastian Vettel and works well with each instruction clear and concise and very little repetition.

Statement from "reviewer"

Being part of the No Fuss Reviews network we often receive white discs and material in both digital and hard form ahead of time. We have had to improvise with a lot of the images as we don’t have any capture equipment as of yet. We even confirmed with John Doe PR about embargo and release dates etcetera but where told there is no information as present, so we decided to release the review.

Your comment is still up, let's hope he replies with a tracklist.

I guess it could be real, he doesn't seem like a huge GT/racing/car fan, just a gaming journo, hence the mistakes (a class, Vettel WRC etc). Time will tell.

I see that Matthew guy that wrote it,wrote a comment on there.I think he's sticking to the fact that its legit, claiming he has a white review copy

John Doe PR...is he trying to be funny?

I have an uncharted2 disc the same as that. It has a different BLES number than the standard euro disc. No DLC works with it so it could be what they send to reviewers.

Assuming it's real, the best news from that review is the way online races will work if someone drops out. Having AI take over is definitely a good thing.

I've just noticed that myself, it must have been waiting approval. I guess it is possible the mistakes are genuine but I still think it's fake. As far as I know the review codes haven't been sent out yet and if there is no embargo then I'm sure other sites would be posting their reviews.
