GT5 First Review 100/100

I think at this point there is no such thing as jumping the gun. That is my assumption just like your making assumptions that dates have to be made so a review can come out on a certain day.

I'm only making assumption on the timescales for the various stages of getting a magazine on a shelf but they are based on remarks made by journalists so won't be that far off. I've applied a bit of logic and come to the conclusion that if a print magazine is going to have a review on the shelves in a month then the review discs will be sent shortly therefore the release won't be that far behind. Perhaps the review discs for websites will go out a bit later as they are not affected by printers deadlines.

that was a great review of what we know, 10/10 will read again.

Seriously?

I like how they say, sorry for using all existing images we have no capture equipment.

Sweet... so the site to get the first code, before PD and Sony even send out the code doesn't even have image capture equipment... not even a digital camera apparently...

I wonder how many people will read this and have no idea...

+1 👍

off-topic: I LOVE Kopparberg.. :P My friend always brings it back for me from the UK when he comes over... Can't get it here in Holland :(

Mmmm, Kopparberg, I had some earlier, good stuff! Britain has wised up to pear cider in a big way in the last year or so, can get it most places now! Sad to hear it's not so widespread :(

As for this thread... I despair :P

We have been drinking Perry for ages tbh, as tasty as kopparberg is its to pears what bulmers or magnets is to apples.

As we say up north (of the border), apple cider gives me the boak, lol. (Makes me feel sick!). Pear cider's where it's at, or Bud or Asahi beer.

New thread ideas, what wil be your drink-driving beverage of choice for GT5! Maybe we could have an official GT5 online drink drive day, raise awareness of the real dangers of driving under the influence, but ultimately it would be funny cos no one will die in the virtual space! As worthwhile as this one! Sorry original poster! :P

Its filled with loads of BS. Why would PD waste time implementing the move for a racing game? Even more so, I would sony not advertise it and push sales for the move?

Thats what I was curious about. I was thinking that the magazine companies should have them now and the websites would get them later.

And he used De-mon's wallpaper too

Come on it's obvious, he also got the infos from GTPlanet+NeoGaf

Hahahaha I have those exact same brushes in CS5, I actually think they come default with photoshop

FAIL

I love how he say's there are only 4 themes for track creator because that is just how many we have seen at one time, even though you can scroll up and down on that menu and there are probably closer to 8.

Also you can clearly see a window scroller to the right meaning its more then 4.

Now I’ve read over the news blog from the link and it got me thinking. So I turn on my PS3 went to the PSN Home Theater to make sure my thought s was right. If you watch the weather video on track Rout 5 you’ll see a yellow Zonda with a black decal just rear of the left front tire or they may be the wheel wheal vents not sure (The only side of the car you can see). Now if I’m correct there are no current Zonda or from the past with this Decal on it. If this is so then we do have the option to change the look of the cars besides painting the body and wheels.

Come on guys, be nice to Matt!

He's been gaming for 20 years now and has plenty of gaming experience. He's just trying to maintain order amongst chaos. He also brags about having a degree in psychology. This just made me laugh. How could anyone believe this guy after this stunt. Not that he had any viewers anyway prior to this review. I bet thesixthaxis got just as many hits on their blog page about Matt's fake review.

So I wonder if he will do another review once the code is given out

Taken from the bottom of his blog page review...

About Matthew:
I've been gaming for over 20 years and have a lot of experience within the industry. As the editor-in-cheif of 3xG I try to maintain order amongst chaos. I also run a handful of others sites as well as provide ghost writing services for major publications. A degree in Psychology gives me a unique perspective into the gaming culture and I feel lucky that something I have a lot of love for can also be my career.

I think it's fake, but maybe he somehow got an early demo (remember mimaximax months ago?), not the full game, and decided to make a review about it.

Funny how he only talk about things we already know  And if he really was a real reviewer, then Im sure he would have found 1 negative thing about gt5 ;)

This is clearly written by a fanboy who want attention...

I just can't understand why someone would do this to their gaming site. I mean he is just losing in the long run. I for one will never trust him again, no matter what. He is just hurting he's site. It's so wierd...

*edit
Oh. It's removed now, haha....

I have worked in the industry (Not for a gaming magazine though), and your rough figures on timescales are pretty accurate, or atleast they were about 5 years or so ago when I was involved. I did ask former collegues who still work in the industry and they confirmed that your figures would be pretty much on the money. Good work
