I wish I could help out, but I've never gotten into hex editing (aside from gamertag modding loooooooong ago).

This is the stuff that GT5 needs to survive. Now if only the program to do so would be released, thought I doubt it will happen since PD takes ages to patch anything. It's probably best to just release it now so PD can patch it, thus requiring you to stay on the patch before that.

But whatever. It seems we already have a steady source of leaks from people making some interesting cars. I'd love to get ahold of the GTR, Civic, and kart if anyone has them - I have the X2010, 86GT, Silvia, and a couple others in return.

The save is decrypted 1st

Yes. No doubt about it..

and second how is it useless if thats what the sve shows when decrypted?

It IS totally useless as it doesn't show the interesting parts of the car. Posting HEX stuff in ASCII here won't give any hints.

-deleted some text here-

Would you mind uploading that savegame somewhere? Even Crypted, I don't care ;)

Is it only possible to ramp up the power by putting a different engine into a car?
You can not alter the original engine to higher hp? Let's say the Midget with it's 800cc engine and bump the power to 200hp?

If someone could share the 500bhp 86 GT,I would be so happy. :dopey:
I mean,if it's ok. :scared:

Im looking to get the 500hp 86 GT as well, so if someone with it could shoot us an FR, greatly appreciated. I wont be on your friends list for too long. Thanks in advance.

I'm very excited for the possibilities this opens up for GTE/GT3 racing. Right now, you cant make a true GTE or GT3 car because most are too heavy, and some are too powerful(And the power limiter allows too much torque).

The idea of putting slower engines into the Pescarolo, and other open-top prototypes means the possibility of having a really great LMP2 or LMPC series.

Heck, think about reducing the power and grip on the FGT, allowing a Formula Renault 3.5 or lower Formula racing category.

The SuperGT V8 from the GT-R could be placed in the actual GT-R. I think that could be pretty sick.

Rally-Cross cars could be made from the current crop of Rally cars, or if you can swap the chassis/drivetrain, (using the C4 as an example) you could put the rally car Chassis on the stock C4 body, and having the same wheelbase would mean that the stock C4 would gain the 4 wheel drive, but also the ability to change wheels and body colors, allowing a more diverse field of racers.

Aussie V8's and German Touring cars can be prescribed a "spec" chassis and engine combination, and then that would allow you to run either series (M5, C63 and Audi RS4 using spec chassis and engine)

The current (And rather small) crop of SUV's and Truck could be further enhanced to make a great Raid-type series.

A common chassis and engine could be used as the basis for a NASCAR Truck series

Restrictor-plate races could be done with NASCARs

I think the possibilities here are truly awesome in terms of online racing. Please release the editor soon!

Downside of this are that slightly higher HP cars are now coming into the drag community. So you never know online anymore. We would put a lot of time into tunes and then people come in with extra hp and just beat everyone. I think they are ruining it in that sense. Also it would be great if people were mature enough to handle them. Even in online racing lobbies people are using hybrids... I really think they should only be used in lounges and offline only...

PLUS I cannot really see the interesting parts. I don't know much about the internal organisation of the db, but I think the parts of interest are stored outside the parts you have posted :)

I'll upload it later. I was just posting them up cause in hex those 2 parts were different between the two saves. Also could you help me out a little bit cause i can't figure out exactly how to mod in hex.

how about for some fun, catarham with a 4AGE from the 10k rpm AE86, or maybe the engine out of the ford focus RS

If we can modify tire size (which I'm assuming is quite possible)...monster trucks? Or if the car can be scaled down, maybe R/C races? Proper drag racing with a bonus of making potential funny/top fuel cars? Stickier slicks for drag racing?

Lots of possibilities, lots of possible fun.

Can anyone help me get started? Not that great with a hex editor.

Well it freezes the game when he tried doing that.

Can anybody tell me the name of the tool yall are using?
If somebody could post the link that would be wonderful!

So how close is the actual editor to being released? Is there a way I can contact Transformers? I might be able to help him get it out faster.

Hello, i saw some videos of Civic, Corvette ZR1 and GT-R R35 with over 3000 HorsePower, and RedBull X2010 with 100k HP, has anyone one of these cars? And can anyone trade it with me? I'm really interesting in one. I don't usually play online :D

Thanks you for reading

They won't be releasing the editor until the cars get patched. Then you can play it offline, preventing the masses from spoiling the online experience.
