this is the most exciting/promising thing to happen to GT5 since launch, and it's all community-driven.

personally i would like to see how an AWD hybrid handles big numbers, the biggest problem with the others is wheelspin and even with TC they don't exactly launch hard.

I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to putting a Primera 20V engine in an MX-5 or S13 Silvia. Spoon Integra engine in a Civic, etc, etc. Anything with stupid crazy HP numbers doesn't interest me.

RWD seems like a nightmare considering you can completely break traction in the Civic at 290MPH in 6th gear, keeping it straight would be a problem.

I'm talking 200hp here, not 3,000. I don't care about the crazy unrealistic contraptions that are making the rounds right now.

what's the point? there's plenty of slow cars in GT as it is, and even if you did swap no one would be able to tell the difference between them...seems a bit pointless.

This would keep me interested in GT5 for another 2 years at least! I'm thinking M5 swap in a Z3 M coupe or maybe an Enzo engine in an itallia or scuderia? Endless fun.

This is the type of realistic swaps that sound awesome!

And the Go-Kart is one with 370hp that can do 240mph.

Im so doing Subaru 360 hybrid!:dopey: I absolutely love taking slow and what many describe as "useless" or "wimpy" cars and making them fast.:D Unrealistic i know, but it is fun!:dopey: (to me)

Driving fun for myself, I don't care what you or anyone else thinks. Some of us like actually driving the cars in the game instead of playing stupid games with them. You want super speed and grip, go play need for speed or something.

I know what I'd probably do ... I would probably downgrade cars, something like a MX5 engine in a RX7. Now that would be fun. :D

If I was a modder, I would put a GTR Black Edition engine and chassis on a Fiat 500 F '68. Then I would dare anyone to call that car slow.

You would also have a floating fiat with some wheels sat around 4 feet from the car. As far as ruining the game, this depends on how you use the tool. From what I've seen of it (I also had the pic sent to me) you can make the cars as realistic or ridiculous as you want. Also from chatting to Transformers about it there are still some teething troubles to iron out, but version 1.0 is essentially done.

It's now just a waiting game folks!

He sent me this earlier today:

Is your angus peppered.

I think everybody on his friends list received this, he sent me this picture, too. Even with the same text.

I find that funny since we have a link for the program that was used for the other games stickied at the top of this forum.

Well if he did it would probly considered advertising i believe, I could be wrong.

You will not post advertisements or solicitations outside of designated areas or without proper authorization.

The reason the other programs is probly listed in the stickied threads is because they may have been authorized to post them.

Watch this:

is it against the rules of the forum to post hybriding tutorials for gt5?

yes.

but how? Why there is then a subforum for hybriding or is it like when gt6 comes its not against the aup to post hybriding tutorials for gt5?

hybridized vehicles in gt1-4 affected no one and likely wasn't against any agreements (eula, etc), but in gt5 hybrids affect online multiplayer (i.e. Mismatching) and are against the eula and psn service terms.

Gtplanet certainly isn't the only forum he can post this on. There's private messages, his psn id is also known. I'm sure it it were released we could get it outside of Gtplanet.

Do any of you guys that have these cars willing to share them? I would really like to try this cars out at least for a while.

You could make the folks pretty impatient posting that. :P
A small thing, he does not speak about it as version 1.0 but rather 0.1, because the process itself does work, but the game has huge problems handling it. Most cars are bugged when you hybrid them, it just wouldn't work out properly on most hybrids if he released it now. :indiff:

There are still other methods to mod your cars though. The Civic putting out 3,200HP is not a hybrid. The problem of releasing these mods and making them available to the public is that it would have a serious hit on the entire online portion on the game, and although I know Transformers only a little, I expect him to be very cautious on that. His aim is to add fun, not ruin the game.

How is that 3000HP Civic not a hybrid? Also he did say in his thread he wasn't there to ruin GT5, more like make it better. I do agree, this could ruin the online experience for many. Don't worry about me using them online, i don't care to do online races and plus i don't want to ruin the fun for others.:) It has probly been a year since my last race in the open lobby.
