Give them the benefit of the doubt that the game will come out this holiday season, but if it gets delayed further back, then the only way to punish them is to just cancel your pre-orders and sit tight.

With GT5 coming closer and closer to release, I'm starting to get really worried if it won't live up to it's mammoth expectations
This is one of those games if Sony absolutely doesn't hit it out of the park, this will result in many people permanently losing faith in sony and switching over to the competitors. Its happened before with games like SOCOM, where a highly anticipated sequel had wider implications than the game itself.
Its very short sighted what Sony is doing now. I can assure you that this is one company I will do everything I can to not support. Sure I`ll buy GT5, but if I have a choice between a Sony product and another, I would never choose Sony.

Gotta laugh at some of the conversation here in this thread. I can see both sides of it I think. I can see the side that says this is just a game, it will be released soon enough and be in our hands and all the waiting will mean nothing, it's just a game, like any other. I can also see the side that is perhaps a bit obsessed, this is like the release of a new iPhone, a new games console, and a new puppy on Xmas day all coming at once. I'd include myself in the latter if I'm honest, but only very recently as racing games were a bit on the back burner, besides Race Pro on my Xbox and STILL Richard Burns Rally for the Xbox 1 were keeping me satisfied with my racing games, since every major racing game released recently errs far too much to arcade thrills and spills.
Thing is we know this game really is coming out soon, I'd be the first to herald the apocalpyse if at this stage it was delayed any further than Xmas but I really don't see it. This is the final hiccup. It's coming out, you'll be playing it soon, and frankly, no matter how much naysaying there is going on, from Forza fanboys fearful of the competition or even from within with some very pessimistic folks having a field day, no matter what happens this game is going to hit the spot in all the right places for all of us. If you're annoyed at the lack of cockpits for all cars or miffed that not every car has details down to the last nut and bolt, then you need to prepare yourself. Forget all that stuff and remember what we WILL be playing with. Ridiculously nice physics/handling, awesome graphics regardless, 60fps where even better looking games struggle. A real attention to detail in every aspect, weather included, just the thrill and sheer pleasure in turning the wheel in anger. Calm down, relax, it will be here soon enough, I've had enough of all your theories and autopsies on even the littlest shred of gossip from some third party. Just chill out, and enjoy GT5 when it comes.

They have gotten the benefit of the doubt to many times now. Liars should be exposed and put to trial. I have defended Sony and playstation many times, but not anymore. Write an article and maybe more medias will follow.

I've never had much faith in any companies. They are all in it for the money. That said I believe we will get the game soon and it will be worth the wait. No point lossing sleep over it as it will not get here any faster. As for brand loyality that is just a dumb concept. One should buy the best product at the best price for those reasons not because it has a certian brand name on it.

I agree with your statement, but not everyone has multiple consoles nor could they afford them. If I could, I would be playing forza right now, but I don't have a 360. Instead, my choices are limited to NFS/code master arcade BS.

Don't forget the PC If only GT and Forza were made for PC I would not own any current gen consoles.

I generally agree, i wasn't loyal to Sony and Plasystation, but i think that the PS3 have superior hardware over the Xbox, but still there should be consequences for lying to the customers.. I was ok with the latest delay, because they said we would get a new date soon, but they haven't even provided us with one. Should we take it as they don't know it themselves yet? What does that say about Sony?

I'm starting to get that feeling... Probably AFTER 2010.. Funny thing is, Duke Nukem Forever have become synonymous with endless delays and cancellation. And people have been joking about it here. Now it may seem that its actually going to be released before GT5! Thus giving the throne of delays to GT5. Well, maybe not so funny, just sad really.

There's not some great conspiracy here. Trust me, Sony would love to have released this two years ago, it would have sold bucket-loads. It will sell bucket-loads now. Stop thinking you're in The Matrix or something guys, it will be out soon. It's not like they're holding back a cure for cancer, it's a bloody piece of software, one which they've taken so much time on to make it something far grander than anything else out there. It will be immense, and you're talking about it like Sony is the great Satan using it for some nefarious purpose.

If they're not lying, it means they don't know what they're doing or don't have control of it.. Which isn't exactly flattering either.
Sorry for complaining guys, guess i'm just in the mood right now. But still... Big shame on Sony for letting down the fans yet again.
