I love this community <3

Even though most of these pages are fully of crap, i just love how excited everyone is.
<3 u guyz xD

Yes we got trolled.

Ironically this thread/site probably won't generate as many hits when/if a release date is announced.

Blatantly obvious what is actually happening. Game is being printed, stock is being distributed to wholesalers who will give the OK once they have appropriate levels to meet their retailers' demands. Sony will announce a release date following the OK from wholesalers that stock levels are good to meet release day and pre-order demands. It will be no more than two weeks between stock reaching wholesalers and Sony committing to a release date because holding large amounts of stock costs money in terms of storage space.

This is all to avoid another failed release. They want to know the stock is on the ground and ready to go before committing again.

Funny thing is the site went Titanic just because we thought there was a person claiming to have the game just wait till the game is actually released. This site is gonna 2012 itself.

I saw that ad today aswell.👍

Wow they are advertising in the UK? I haven't seen that yet, will keep my eyes peeled. Maybe they are going to have a mad few weeks with GT ads everywhere then release it-though to be honest I dont really see how it would make much difference to sales. People are going to buy it or not based on their enjoyment of racing games-and if you enjoy racing games, the chances you haven't heard of it already are very very slim.

No,no we were referring to a Citroen commercial that just happened to mention the GT by Citroen.

Okay, can I get conformation on whats happened today? Am I led to believe the "stolen disk" fiasco was just a somewhat clever troll?

Jordan, please could you Tell us at least, why did you remove the pic of the Australian guy? This Part let me still believe the Disc could Be real..

You know that a troll is successful when GTPlanet users are telling someone else to go outside.

Hey now, some of us DO go outside. I personnally go out for a smoke after every 5000 refresh button pushes (aprox 60 minutes).....:dopey:

I think that Jordan should cancel all this previous 40pages of troll!Guy's we should be more prudent next time with this mega troll!Really sad day for Gtplanet community!

Well, since there are over 1,000 people in here, I would like to direct their attention to this:

but in the meantime we should save all the images of the GT5 box/discs incase Sony remove them again.

I don't know, yeah we have been trolled but I think its great the enthusiasm and excitement for the game.

Why be sad about that?

Was anybody in the U.K watching Secret Millionaire? Seeing him driving that silver Audi R8 down the road got me all excited about driving that thing in GT5, and I'm not even an Audi guy.

I wonder what Sony's marketing dept's gonna think when they see this hoax. In terms of marketing strategy, Sony's probably attracted more publicity by indirectly allowing M$ and Forza trolls to rile up the GT community and not commenting on anything. And to be honest, we got trolled hard by some guy that looks like "Fat B*****d" from Austin Powers. Sony's probably smiling like crazy, knowing that the fans are still interested in GT that they would storm the forums with fake GT5 images.

On the other hand, if the whole GT community goes silent and nobody mentions GT5, then the Sony marketing dept will probably be crapping their pants and start dishing out information to stir peoples' interests again. Maybe we need to change our strategy a bit?
