As to the damage it has been confirmed that damage will be on all cars though not in the same visual detail. It has also been mentioned that the game will have levels of difficulty. It is reasonable to assume that on an easier level damage will be turned off or that there is a seperate setting to limit or turn off damage.

most likely i think 👍. F1 2010 had this, although you could customise this as well to your own needs

I think he may be referring to review copies being sent out or something from Sony. I'd love to think that its a release date given out tomorrow. This or that thanks Amar212 for the tip 👍

I am thinking the same thing. I really would like to be surprised when I play the game but it is hard to resist digging for info when I do not have the game yet.
