Its probably been mentioned before, but with the g25 you don't have to press triangle to engage the clutch (like in prologue).
Just push the clutch once and it stays activated:tup:

The initial install size is 6.4GB but there is further installing done as the game plays.

I though you had the option to do an install of around 40 mins, therefore eliminating the need to install whilst playing.
Or let the game install while you play.

What your saying Jambo makes the initial install redundant. Why not just install everything in one go.

Strange.

Edit. It seems as though as the files are decompressed the size will increase anyhow. Can't seem to find any concrete info on a final size.

If you watch Christhedudes video he did a full install and yet in some screens there is an ninstalling icon, also Amar said "It took 40 minutes. First bunch of installed data is actually 6.4GB, but we have already learned that game will continue to install (decompress) the data during playtime. And off we go", so pretty sure this is correct.

I would imagine that this is to not extend the install time any further or it could be that the extra installing is much quicker?

Am not sure of their reasoning but I guess they are!

My local game store (Microplay) in Quebec city, Canada, won't sell it until the midnight launch, just called there. If u want to add my psn to race when the game will be released feel free and just let me know in the request that you from GTPlanet

My psn is: Lweed-

See you on the circuit guys! Cant't wait !

It's certainly quicker as it does it in such small chunks. If you watch the leaked videos you'll see about 1-2 seconds of the word "Installing..." when someone enters an upgrade part menu or something. I assume another reason is that some people won't even enter all of those individual menus, so there's no need for them to install the parts they won't see.

I've got around 300 GB left, plus an HDD with 1,5 TB, but at the moment I have an external HDD of 120 GB as extra hooked up to the PS3...just in case :)

"The space taken is actually about 6.4GB, but that space gradually unpacks as you’re playing to be closer to the previously mentioned 10GB."

That is reassuring. I've got a meager old fat old 40 gig and no extra cash or technical inclination to upgrade HDD. GT5: Prologue alone is taking over 8 gigs of my hard drive and there are a few other games like Fuel, NFS Shift and Pro Street (which I LOVE for drag racing :sly:) that are hogging up valuable gigs as well. I had to clear a lot of little files and a couple big ones that were hard to part with just to get my free space up to "10 gigs" but that is an estimate and I'd like some free space for replays.

I can't backup because I have to back up EVERYTHING at once for some stupid reason and I don't have a flash drive that big. Hard telling what would actually survive that process anyhow...

So after my garage is transferred from Prologue I will finally say goodbye to that ludicrous chunk of game data. Who needs it when you've got the full game anyhow? Certainly nobody in their right mind will still be playing Prologue online, right? :)

You can't install games on external HDD's. And I doubt your 1.5 TB HDD will go into PS3.

👍

American / Austrian based guy, new to the forums... Enjoying GT5 since 1500CET today! Lvl 8 and cruising! Great Game 👍 👍

See you in the charts!

I know, it's more for photomode or if you can transfer replay data, that sorta thing. Plus I doubt that 300 GB won't be enough for GT5!

One thing I REALLY hope has changed since GT4 is the the AI in Endurance races. I mean, on La Sarthe, everyone stays out of 8-10 laps while I have to pit every 3 or 4? Really? Shouldn't they be out of gas by then?

Buy a new HDD. I also have a fat PS3 60Gb and upgraded it to 500Gb for only 79 €.

Hello, i see you have done some tuning, it it possible to put turbos and supercharger on the viper cars, and tune them to about 800 hp? :)

Well how you think I got the viper to 780 ? ya turbo, or supercharger. the "tunging stage" 1-3 are kinda of like N/A tuning before in GT4, only the turbo does less, and the N/A or now tuning stage is added to the turbo. 780 was not all-out-tuning. Cost what I could afford after paying 99k at the dealer for the base RT10 Coupe.

Golf Mk4 Gti base + everything modded = 320 hp. You can use GT Auto and get a Race Mod for it, for 150.000cred. Which is a LOT for me at. like 12-15k a race. Lvl 13.5 now,
SPOILER: lvl 14 opens Grand Turismo World Tour Cup in Pro League. 15 opens S-License.

Working on it, hope to get lvl 20 tonight and the S-License.

...(pulls pockets inside out)... :nervous:

I'm lucky to have about $70 saved for the game itself right now. With the plasma panel, the logitech wheel, and the PS eye my gaming budget is all dried up unfortunately. I seriously wouldn't know the first thing about wiggling a hard drive out of an old PC to cram in there and I'm very nervous about the whole process zapping my data anyhow.

How do you turn off the music in this game?

You must be new to the GT series (as anyone who has played a GT for more long enough to go to the options menus, would find this question extremely rediculous). You go to the options menu, then sound option, go to the music volume tabs and turn them to the down. :)

can anyone recommend a good led/3d tv? and hd surround sound, Ill be upgrading soon probably got about £1400-1500 budget.

currently ive a sony 32 inch bravia and panasonic 5.1 surround with kelton subwoofer. ps3 and dfgt wheel and frame.
