What would be strange is if this was part of his job, to give loyal GTPlanet followers a quiet little "heads-up" to keep us interested. Because with all the talk about the NSX, which they probably don't have near ready to release, they need something to take the place in the spotlight fairly quick to keep attention off the desire for them to release the NSX.
The official announcement will probably be coming soon also.

I was thinking that the NSX would be yet another free update car.I mean the features in the update kinda hints that thats the case.
If thats the case and the info is legit then this is :dopey:

You're basing a question off speculation (I bolded the "if" for you). How is that logic?

Your over-sized fonts do not make your posts any more valid. They simply make them appear childish and desperate for attention.

I asked a freaking question so lay off. Big effing deal I used a different font size. If you have a problem with me using the forum tools that Jordan has put in take it up with him. Until then mind your own ****ing business. Your on your way to getting that post count up way to go 👍.

I posted them big in hopes he would see my post (doesn't that have logic?) and answer my questions. We all know how this works, someone asks a question and someone else chimes in "like you" to tell me I am wrong for asking it and am being childish. But your opinion is NOTED.

It's beyond me how you don't see the flaw in your logic.

I ALSO THINK YOU ARE WRONG. KAZ PROBABLY WON'T READ IT, LET ALONE ANSWER THE QUESTION.

But that's just my opinion. :)

I really hope this Test Track is racable and not just a test track.

I don't. If it's the 15 mile or so long oval like it looks, then a race there would be pretty boring. If there's an awesome road course or a stunt area/play ground, then that's different, but a 15 mile oval race would be dull.

But you don't have to race on it if you don't want to. Just like SSR7 for example. Why not have it open for anyone that does want to use it?

Blah, the interest for me is being able to test and tune the following:

0-400m
0-1000m
0-100km/h
0-200km/h

Max speed and Gforce.

These will all be excellent ways to document and fine tune our rides. I have a black book full of numbers from my own stopwatch testing. These of course are only mildly accurate because of my thumb lag. This will give me concrete accurate numbers to work from.

Interesting. 'Space Empire' has just posted this in the comments section of the News item...

山内さん。ご不便をお掛けして申し訳ございません。

Which, according to Google translator, says 'Mr. Yamauchi. Sorry to apologize for the inconvenience.'

Reveal yourself oh mysterious one :D

Its Translator-san, it has to be.

Looking closer at the main SSR X Oval picture (with the GT86), is the tunnel section just one drive through tunnel or 2 or 3 like it seem's?

Holy shizzzz, lamborghini Aventador, Aston Martin Vantage, a Group C car and a beetle. First thing I am doing is going to shredding the tires of dat beetle :)

Finally some of the hard work will be taken away. Keeping notes sucks!

uhhh im just throwing this out here for those of you who haven't thought of it this way, the second green icon in that figure 8 COULD be a skid pad course to record the G-Force

-> Heres a question from Peter...
Anyone else notice the line of witches hats next to the straight in one of the smaller pictures? Could that be a skidpad?

^ And the answer might be this one...

^ Could be very true...I mean that this Route X will be a dual-purpose test/race track!

:)

and besides, the size of the track would make a figure 8 layout not that much different from an oval in terms of actual driving...

Space Empire specified that the car was a "Jaguar XJR-9 LM". This means it can only be the XJR-9s which ran at Le Mans, and not the Castrol-liveried cars which ran in IMSA GTP in XJR-9 or XJR-9D specification. Beyond the paintjob, the two are physically different: the XJR-9D running a larger and higher mounted rear wing, as well as a curved front nose instead of the Le Mans cars' flat nose which also featured a larger opening for the radiator exits. The regular IMSA GTP XJR-9 also had completely different headlights from both the D and LM.

There were however five XJR-9 LMs entered for Le Mans in 1988, so it is possible they could use another car besides the #2 already in the game, but I find that unlikely. The two different numbered Vipers were not from the same race, one was from Daytona and the other was from Le Mans.

So basically, we're getting an upgraded Standard car, just like the Beetle.

There's 17 years between the premium and standard beetles though... :)

any improvement to a year old game is better than none at all, look how far we've gone since 1.0, WE CAN DRESS UP OUR DRIVERS NOW :dopey:
speaking of dress ups, i wish they'd give us the GT Academy Suits....but that can wait

Hadn't realized about the Beetles being slightly different. Forgot the original was also a 1100 and not a 1600.

There is however only one car which was called the XJR-9 LM and it only ran in one race in 1988. They did however run again in 1989, although I'm not sure you could still classify them as "1988" then. And again, they ran the exact same body style with the exact same Silk Cut paint.

The biggest shame with the Silk Cut livery is that they can't/won't show tobacco/alcohol advertising in GT5, so despite it being a premium, the livery will be wrong.
