Maybe Great Britain...
Where's the Rolls Royce's? D:

...and Rover. Why have so many game developers ignored Rover? Rover achieved many great things in their lifetime, such as...
They invented the template for the modern bicycle, they also took an old unloved prototype Buick V8 engine and transformed it into a British icon, they invented Land-Rover, they produced the wonderful P4, P5, P6, SD1, 200 Coupe, 75 and they also did the majority of the development work on the 2001-2006 MINI. They were a more significant manufacturer than most people think.

(Sorry for the long post, but I'm very passionate about Rover and I would absolutely love it if Rover were included in Gran Turismo.)

It's kind of annoying seeing as there are 30 models of one car and then like 4 of another that is just as popular if not more popular in other parts of the world.

Wish there were all ford models in this game....

Personally I think GT5 is lacking in the muscle department. They missed soooo many that truely defined America in the 1960s and 1970s.

How about a Pinto with a 454 stuffed into it. '75 Mustang Mach II Cobra (my Mom had a black Mach II with mirrored windows, mid 70's Caddy El Dorado, mid 70's Pontiac Bonnavlie. Ford Granada, or my first car was a '76 Cougar XR7 351 Windsor with a rod knock and snow tires!? Maybe a 77 Hurst Olds 442? Or a Ford LTD wagon with wood panel sides (buddy's Mom drove one)? The game has plenty of cars that handle terribly. We don't need more. Especially from the forgettable 1970's when big cars were being strangled by liberal engine regulations. Which apparently didn't do a damned thing to help. The 70's was a dismal period in American cars.

The IROC that showed up in GT4 and now a Standard in GT5 is terrible. All through the '80's I wanted a blue IROC 350, especially an '88.

I wouldn't mind a red white and blue AMX though!!!

Honestly, PD has missed a lot of cars that have defined a lot of countries. It's not just the USA that got left out.

I don't want to turn this thread into a wish thread, but surely PD could have got a D-Type Jag in, eh?

Although all the american cars would be lovely, I think the main reason why they're not here is because PD is based in JAPAN and the reason why Forza has so many is because Turn10 is based in AMERICA. Comprende?

What does the so called "duplicates" have to do with the lack of other cars in the game? If PD wanted a Ford Torino in the game, then they would make it for the game. The cars that aren't in the game aren't there simply because one, PD didn't want it in, or two, PD wasn't able to get it in. Nothing to do with being too busy modelling other cars.

Yes, we will get Motegi. That is good.

And

Bring us the HSV-010 GT!
iRacing has announced that they've got the license of the HSV-010 GT. Please give us this beauty before iRacing does! This car has been confirmed long long time ago.

This is not a wish list thread guys.

And I don't see Motegi having time/weather change. It'll more than likely be a beautified GT4 version of the track.

Not quite, turn 10 has what could be the most well rounded car list ever constructed. They might have a lot of American cars but they also have like 20+ BMWs, 15+ mercs, now 30 porches, plenty of nissans, whole gaggle of Hondas ect...

You get what I mean, turn 10 doesn't show nearly the amount of favoritism.

Almost. They do have a cover car. Ie BMW, Audi etc. but that's more like a cover athlete on a madden game etc.

PD have a deep partnership with Nissan. Does that help or hinder when trying to woo competitors. Probably not as GT brand still carrys a lot of weight.

Probably more annoying for manufacturers is the resurrecting of old code to represent there cars.
Not sure Ferrari would appreciate being a standard car against a premium lambo.
Manufacturers are finicky when it comes to representing there brand.

This. Turn10 made a great List of european, Asia ans American Cars and Race series.

I Hope the rumours are true.

After all that time , what do you feel about GT5 ?

do you think its over ? or does it need more updates ? is it enough about updates ?

more DLC'S ?????? What do you think about the latest DLC'S and what you would call dlc a TRUE DLC ???

Do you think a huge DLC full of super cars & hyper cars will make GT5 the ultimate game ( its the ultimate game for me but you know ... ) ?

what is the things that need to be fixed right now in GT5 in your opinion ( physics , engine sounds , driving , etc )

thank you .

Wow, people are still going on about this...

Don't like it? Try Forza Motorsport. 👍

Get over it. It was a simple stupid-ish joke. And I don't need stupid advice trying other games for no apparent reason, you can keep it chap.

OH I just noticed your "absolutely not biased" username. It all makes sense now.

Come on guys lay off the wish lists before the mods move in.

Sorry if you took it that way, not turning this in to a wish list or I would have given a list. Just a general discussion about the current car list which I feel could have had some more American cars. BACK ONTO CURRENT TOPIC, the latest track list does not appear to show tracks for all tests, only 2 per round. Is it possible that there are more of the older tracks still to come? Who knows, have to wait and see.

For me it´s not over yet .

PD just needs to release more tracks for this game and more Race Cars ( DTM or FIA GT cars :) )

I´m having so much fun Online with this game since 2010 , i don´t care about the offline structure of GT to be honest .

All this talk of DLC is not going to fix GT-Mode you know. And NO don't say online. That is the stock answer for a GT-Mode apologist.

Solution. Manufacture Hall. As an example, Nissan hall, Badge of Z. Separate 5 race championships for each of the 240Z, 260Z, 300Z, 350Z and 370Z all stock with no tuning allowed, then an all in Race of Z championship with tuning allowed and a PP limit. Prize car Nissan 370Z Tuned Car (GT Academy Version) '08. Redo race, win prize car again.

Do this for most car types and you have a winner.

Imagine the single make races where you can re-win those oh so elusive standard cars that never seem to show up.

All imagination of this type lays in the one single race in the A-Spec mode.

Lamborghini Trofeo Gallardo.

Go there with 100% stock Gallardo on default tyres - Sport Hard, same as all opponents are driving - and try to win.

If there would be more races like that - with imposed restriction of using stock car on same compound of tyres as opponents - you would never hear about "bad AI" in GT5, nor about game being "easy" or "dull".

Without any assists that race remains my personal pinnacle of GT5 A-Spec career experience.

This is the truth. I love Online you start by just hitting the track yourself and then all your friends start to come out the pit. You Time Attack some more with your buddies and finish with a race. Doesn't get better than that. 👍 I feel bad for the people who come on GTP to complain about they are bored even though right here on GTP are great leagues to join. :odd:

I like GT5 car list better than FM4 it really comes down to personal taste with that.

That's the problem right there It is known that ABS is terrible in GT5 and it does not mimic a real ABS system. If people turn it off and tune the BB their races will become a whole lot better.

I am aware of that. I wrote about it numerous times, but unfortunately it is not easy to propagate it enough, even on saturated board like this.

La Festa Cavallino using Ferraris with the stock tires (usually sports hard) give similar results. I couldn't win with the 599!

I have it in GTR2 (a Japanese Super GT500 and 300 mod btw for PC of course) and it is amazing.👍
