If it is false should we expect sony to make a statement squashing the rumour?

I don't think they will, sony and PD have this marketing thing going on with GT5 that basically leaves everyone out in the open guessing when it's coming out, and sporadically leaving some trailers and pics drop here and there.

What they do is create this entity that is GT5.. this rumor will only add to the hype... sony will like this.

Entity? I really anticipate GT5 but i don't think it is on a par with the second coming ( if i would believe such a thing in the first place ).
Does this mean we're experiencing some sort of Apocalypse right now?
A full Armageddon of frozen time where Forza is the Antichrist?

Yeah, and they leave us to farm the internets waiting for these drops...

Anyway, the daffodils in my garden tell me Spring is here, so that must mean, if we are indeed getting a summer release, these drops should be a bit more frequent over the coming months.

One can only hope.. :) but has the mag not been out for a week now or so?
You would have thought this would have been all over the net and these forums if this were to be true.

Well, the pics are right there in the source.. all we need is someone who can read japanese and see if this is true or not.
Reading japanese is one thing, reading japanese from tiny pictures with almost no way to distinguish characters is another.

April fools damage model video, which shows open doors from cockpit view:

Always liked the fact Citroen chose a car named C4 as their "explosive" rally car probably by coincidence.
Certainly beats Audi's A4 touring car which sounds like a paper format and sure beats McLaren's MP4-12C which sounds like a Korean home appliance.

Probably-an-april-fools-joke just posted on CVG, after the seemingly more genuine article we saw earlier:

Motor Toon Grand Prix remake?

"Forget steering - what about placing a virtual cigarette on the dashboard as you throw a wheelie down a canyon? Throwing banana skins from the window? This is the thrill I have been missing for many years. It's time we got back to driving basics: cartoon characters in karts, not Ford Kas."

Yeah right...

Watching videos like this makes me want to kick Prologue out of the window, I will play this track everyday, with everycar in the game, I drove a whole lap in a stock black Fiat 500L, took over 15 minutes, that was really funny to do in chase cam, Imagine it in cockpit view. ;)

I love when they go flying into the movable barriers.

I have been looking at that for a long time now and waiting for someone to say something about it. On a race track are those barriers made of plastic or something? When a car goes flying into them they bounce down the track like they weigh nothing. All the barriers I have seen are made of concrete or even water/sand filled plastic ones and they weigh a lot, so why they float down the track like they do?

Me too, i know the Nurburgring better than my own street and will probably spend more time there driving all the cars in cockpit view than any sane person would consider healthy.
Mind you, i only meant knowing the Ring in GT, not one of those overconfident people who when getting the chance to drive the real one immediately crash into the first barrier ( at least i hope not ).

I see we still have runaway leader AI. That's one thing I hated about Arcade races in Prologue. The whole field may be just the right difficulty to have a good race with them, but the lead car always takes off.

Agreed about the runaways, but this guy *does* seem to be gaining on him, albeit with some awesome driving!

I love how the car kind of hops around in the corners, as it should on such a bumpy track.

Also, I haven't seen any time-limit timer in any of these, but they're all 3min. Weird.

More room for speculation about interior customization too.....

We could, but the interior is just modeled after the real car. It just happens that the real car has a momo wheel. I'm sure they need the license for it but let's not start more rumors.
If I'm not mistaken, MOMO was in GT4 and all they were tied into was the WHEEL SHOP.
