That´s a lot of premium models already on the list. I would love the figure to go to 250, because if you count the aditional Nascar models they said they would put in, along with the usual suspects, there´s not much room for surprises. (if the number is 200).

also, i´m not sure about 830 standard cars (number found on PSP). A lot of those (at least 40 in my count) were upgraded to premium... so what could happen is, we would have standard models we haven´t seen before, probably modeled after GT4 but before the new premium moddeling procedure. (I think the two Lambos in the PSP version could be an example of that).

Premium Car List

Dodge
Challenger 426 Hemi R/T '70
Challenger SRT8 '09
Viper GTS '02
Viper SRT10 Coupe
Viper SRT10 ACR '08

About the Dodges (I know this isn't supposed to be the place to ask but) why hasn't PD secured (or at least revealed) that they have rights to the Charger?

Well they probably could put the SRT8 Charger in the game, but to them, having the Challenger is probably more than enough for Chrysler SRT8 products, no need for the Charger or 300, but it would be another story if we were talking about a japanese manufacturer...

And about TGS, I think they'll use it to showcase new Japanese models we already highly suspect ie LFA, CR-Z, HSV 010 GT, Subaru Legacy Super GT, etc and maybe Sepang as new track if it's in, wich is far from certain, or Spa finally (yes!:))

The car list by goldrusher is partially incorrect when it comes to the NASCAR part. Denny Hamlins 2010 car has yet to be shown as we have only seen his 09' car. Michael Waltrip doesn't even have a 2010 car as he retired in 09'. Since then PD has left out the Napa tools Toyota Camry NASCAR car.

Coming from a NASCAR standpoint, that's a terrible move if you leave out drivers just because they drive Dodges.

What do you mean? Its the same with Japanese manufacturers. We have lots of Skyline's but no sedan's except for the v36. And we have Supra's and not one MarkII or Chaser.

PD sets its focus on coupe's and tends to forget sedan's.

I'm pretty sure the V35 sedan was in the JDM GT4 and GT PSP. Also, the Blitz R34 is a sedan.

I care more about the Stagea, however.

Couldn't find the original post but great work@ Strittan for the premium list, really usefull.

Does anyone think that the lineup of standard cars will be mostly made up by the cars from GT4 and GTPSP? Because, I'd really love to see "forgotten" sports cars like the Venturi and the Vector which were both in GT2. *Sigh*, one can only dream! :D:P:dopey:

Well I know the Shelby Daytona Coupe is in. I wish I could find the photo, but it was from some event (TGS, Gamescom, etc.) and they had 5 or 6 pictures of cars and one of them was a small pic of the Daytona Coupe. No idea if it's Standard or Premium though. Hope it's premium!

Premium or not, "gotta catch em all!"

Since physics are the same for both models, I will not mis the cockpit view, besides about 80% of GT5 Prologue was done on Bumper cam.

Well I'm pretty sure they've got enough space now on the BD discs to let a few really old school GT cars sleep through the net:sly:.

Wait, what?

HUNT THIS DOWN.

:D

I wish I could find the picture. It was a booth picture from some event and they had some pictures on display of in-game cars with what I believe was just a white background. One of them was the Daytona. I'll try to find it.

This would be great

Apparently the E3 2009 video was pre rendered, so they didn´t even modeled those old cars.

We have only seen 9 cars, they said they will include more, but i don´t think they will have anything close to the 43.

Also, no Nationwide? The new Mustangs and Challengers are awesome! I would also expect some classic models, like the Goodwrench #3 Chevy, but it looks like the Nascar part of the game will be very limited.

Jay
Totally false, all of E3 2009 trailer used GT assets.

Well, i know they used assets, but some things were rendered. We all know the Subaru damage didn´t match to anything that has been shown so far.

I see your point, but some of the things shown in the video just doesn´t match gameplay.

Oh? We have seen deformation damage, hanging bumpers, panel openings, we have seen scratches and we know the engine bay is modelled in the Subaru, all of those in real time demos so what did they show that hasn't been seen so far? Besides all this combined on the same car (which is obviously possible).

I see your point, but some of the things shown in the video just doesn´t match gameplay.

Even if that is true, how does that relate to you thinking they didn't even model the cars?

Modelled cars is modelled cars whether shown in real time or not.
Kaz was actually asked at E3 in one of the interviews if the trailer was "real" (after rumours spread it was totally CG like the FM3 trailer), Kaz was quite suprised by the question and answered "of course".

I think we need a new category of cars for the original list: cars that have won an award from PD. For example the Miura prototype that won the 2008 Pebble Beach award and is now in the game. I think that the 2009 and 2010 winners should be added under this new category.

That's not how it works. Unless we see the car as a GT5 model, it's not confirmed and does not go on the list.
Having another list for just those cars would be pretty pointless.

Thank GOD they SCRAP that HD ^^^ and did real proper sequel for new console with a new engine.

No, that is exactly how it works. Take another look at the list.

No, that is exactly how it works. Take another look at the list.

Cars in BLACK have been seen in screenshots or confirmed by PD.
Cars in RED have been modeled/photographed by PD but are not 100% confirmed.
Cars in GREEN have been mentioned by magazines/press. Out of the list 12 are not BLACK.
So tell me, where do you see cars that someone assumes will be in the game cause this car and that car is in the game? This is not a whishlist.

hmmm....The Miura is in the game because Kaz loved it and it was extremely rare. Then again, so are the other two Pebble Beach winners. The Abarth is, like the Miura Prototype, the only one of it's kind. I hope, however, that the Pebble Beach cars make it in. The GT Award cars provide a bit of variety to the GT roster. I mean the SEMA GT Awards have given us a VW, an old Buick, an Orange TT, J. R. Rocha's G35, the Art Morrison Corvette, the insane old Mustang fastback, and whatever wins this year. Pebble Beach is nice 'cause it looks like it'll give us some rare, one of a kind cars. That we'd NEVER in a million years get to drive or even see.
