I would love the "old" NFS world back in GT5.
TokoTurismoWhy are others trying to turn Gran Turismo into a Forza? Forza this Forza that STOP IT ALREADY! Why must there always be something about what Gran Turismo needs or could learn from Forza, so annoying now to be honest.
Because it's a good idea?
Vinyl Editor adds a touch of individualism, that said there are a few points against it but that's the main reason everyone likes it, as I'm sure you already know.
If it wasn't a good idea then I'm sure people would of gave up a long time ago.
I doubt that it would be very easy to impliment custom paintjobs in GT5. Probably an issue with how the paints are mapped on all of the various car models.
Forza had custom paint on older versions as well. Probably a planned feature from day 1 which means the models were mapped with that in mind.
No thank you, let's stick to driving.
If we should stick to driving, why do we have tradable paint chips?

For the AE86 Shigeno Ver., my tag would be ILVTOFU. Partly because he loves tofu, partly because of what else the plate says (if you don't get it, you never will, lol).
Forza is going to get a mention simply because it has a livery editor and is well known for it, that however is beside the point.
The question is does GT need one, and the answer is (for me) without a doubt, with on-line racing and leagues being set-up its an important factor.
The entire issue of 'well kids will just make cars looks stupid' is taken on-board, but in all honesty it actually rarely happens in Forza lobbies. What does happen is a grid of what actually looks like racing cars. Anyone who doesn't want that for GT must have attended some bloody funny real world race events.
this is what i don't want in gt5, you think its cool till you see this.
Simple answer GT is in dire need of this, It improves the longevity of the game, A and B Spec are both poor in terms of number of events, And its the 21st century without it GT5 feels somewhat outdated.
P.S If PD don't implement this into GT5 or make it a feature in GT6 I'll be spending a long time playing LittleBigPlanet Karting.
I accidentally customized a car!
1966 Shelby GT-350R
I went to paint it a deep royal blue and ended up using the paint chip from the GSX-R/4 so my Shelby ended up two-tone with black sides and royal blue top surfaces.
LOVE IT!
experiment with your paint chips for cars that are two-tone.
granted, it's $2500 to paint, but when you can pay $7500 for a set of
sport tires, what's a third of that for the look you want?
Mod nation racers failed to give me any good solid racing

Funny you mention LBP - I think Media Molecule's whole approach to customization could be something PD should look into, because the GT series could absolutely benefit from a livery creator. Using something like their sticker placement interface could make creating liveries a breeze - I'll readily admit that while I now have a (basic) understanding of how FM4's livery creation happens, it's far from inviting to a newcomer. Something like this:
Took ages to do, though that's mostly down to the Mill Street logo itself. But using something to just "stamp" our designs on, where it takes the different sides of the shape into consideration, would be fantastic. Every level of motorsport in the real world has liveries, it seems silly that GT doesn't.
And has been brought up before, in threads similar to this - there's an easy solution for those who would rather their cars all be painted one solitary colour: a simple check box for "Disable User Created Liveries". It'd be win/win for both sides, even in the same race.
Yes, there are ugly liveries out there, and there would be in GT if the feature were included - but there's already eye-searing paint/wheel combos, and like every other online aspect of the game, your experience depends on whom you're sharing it with.

Thats is horrible and a disgrace in my opinion. Oh, lets not forget those neo nazi and confederate flag jobs either.this is what i don't want in gt5, you think its cool till you see this.
