Gt5 need custom paint jobs?

Yes. GT5 needs that and even if we know that it's almost impossible to have it ready for GT5, I still have a tiny bit of hope for spec3 or whatever. Like Toronado stated, they just couldn't make in time for GT5, so, who knows?

A simple export/import button, that export the car texture in a file that you can edit on the PC would be good already. And for most here it really would work well, because a lot of us played some kind of PC sims and that's common in them.

BUT, for "casuals" it would be hard to use. But, screw them... The ones that really play GT a lot, deserve that feature.

So, my vote is YES, please. ASAP!

I would put my forum and clothing brand on it. Just think about how it would revolutionize the way real sponsors would approach GT5. Ohhhh the possibilities.

Oooo. I hope to see lots. I want to hear more of this. Can Ridge Racer design be apart this too? I love race designs and made up race designs. 👍

Yeah, I don't really want one...

Yes it damn well does! I want to make some BTCC cars, JTC cars and create my own scheme, you can say "Just stick to driving" but what about B-spec? And photomode? They aren't going away anytime soon so why not let us create our own paint schemes? It'd be a feature you could use or ignore, just like photomode, or the aero add-ons, or the c/f bonnet option...

No, can you imagine anime being on cars in real life!!!

I think it could use it, but these are examples of not how to use it. I don't mind it, but if your going to use these types of schemes in races hosted here (or anywhere else for that matter), than it's just not professional level. It's good for a show piece, but not in actual applications of sponsorships and the such. Oh well. We'll just have to live with it for now I guess.

Ridge Racer?

Designs of it yes. :D

But what I find more of a downfall to this idea. I think it's a great idea, but what will happen if theres a "This game sucks" or "This game can't beat this game" designs I'm not going to be happy with it. Sure we can report them but there will be more. Yes I saw this in FM4 btw...

But only a few I remember.

You seem to be missing the point that those are real cars and real livery's.

I do love that animie is good enough for the Japanese Super GT championship, but not good enough for the 'professional' level here.

Funny. Why not show these pictures to Mr. Yamauchi and let him think for him if this is "SO" amazing or not... I mean really, I know you won't bother so why should I ask anyway. This is going waaaay beyond now. :grumpy: I love this feature alot but now "professional" is apart of all this now? Figures.

Since I can't understand any post you put up in this forum I'll ask finally...WHAT???

From what I gather you seem to be as misguided as the person Scaff responded too and what was said by scaff seemes to have slipped past you.

Aww. I was hoping you'll say I was brave enough to actually talk to talk Scaff. :( By the way was that a rhyme in your sentence?

Edited

If he see that I'm toast. :scared: I'm pretty sure he thinks was just kidding haha, right? :nervous:

Nevermind I was right, you're just here to not add much to the discussion.

Do me a favour and actually read the chain of posts.

stupidstormy36 stated that the cars with Anime livery's.....

....clearly under the impression that they were from FM4 and examples of how the Livery system could be 'abused' to produce unrealistic designs.

His only failing in that was to not realise that they quite clearly are real cars from the Japanese Super GT championship, which kind of invalidates his entire point.

I loved the way Grid did this feature - you make one design and it fits it to all of your cars. However, I guess it would be cool to have different designs on different cars, but a simple copy and paste feature would mean you could have the best of both.

I bet you those cars with the Official Miku vinyls are sponsored/sponsoring Yamaha in some way.

Really?
Then Mountain Dew shouldn't be considered be used either then?
Vocaloid is a product you know.

It amazes me how people want to tell others how they should be allowed to design liveries for THEIR cars in THEIR game. It's like a bunch of dictators-in-training.

Ohhhhh I see now. I thought these were examples, well of course. :sly:

Another livery editor which was good was the one in Midnight Club LA, it was similar in scope to Forza's allowing you to recreate real life liveries accurately and it even let you fiddle with the interiors.

Supercar Challenge also had a livery editor and they made that game on a shoestring budget with a small studio.

The MCLA paint and Decal editor won the hearts of many including me. I think that in terms of paint and decals MCLA is, and remains the crown-holder. I don't really see GT5 getting on MCLA terms any time soon, though I would absolutely love it :/.
