NASCAR COTs are from a different manufacturers so their cockpits have different colors, personal touches, even gauge layouts.
But the rules state they have to pass measurement tests and must fit these cookie cutter type things in order to pass inspection, which makes them all rather look alike.

I was going to say that but I wasn't quite sure. Needless to say however, its not a change that would taken a massive amount of time.

Here are as many premium cars as I can think of...

NASCAR's - Seen in videos, images, gameplay etc.
WRC cars - Seen in videos, images, gameplay etc.
Mercedes C63 AMG - Seen being modeled during a tour of PD's office.
Mercedes SLS AMG - Seen in videos, images, gameplay etc.
Fiat 500 (Original) - Seen being modeled during a tour of PD's office.
Lotus Esprit - Seen in a video.
Chevrolet Camaro 2010 - Seen in videos, images.
Chevrolet Camaro '69 - Seen in videos, images - also seen as 'standard'.
Chevrolet Corvette '69 - Seen in a video - also seen as 'standard'.

Ferrari 458 Italia - Seen in videos, images , gameplay etc.
All cars from GT5:Prologue.

EDIT: Forgot to add...

BMW M5 E60 - Seen in videos.

All cars in GT5P ? Suzuki swift is premium

Still have little hope that standard models will be good and may be with cockpit as well.

Incorrect. It's 1/5 of the cars, not the content. How many cars you got in your GT4 garage??
What if the 200 cars he has in his garage are not on the premium list? That means he has to either pick cars he doesnt want, or drive his favorite cars but they wont be premium.

About 600 with alot of double's. The only cars i ever use are JDM cars (japanese). And in GT5 almost all the JDM cars will be standard GT4 ports, so i'm realy doubting if i'm gonna get GT5.

Hello. A question for you guys; it has been confirmed that premuim cars will feature full damage (separation of body panels). Does that include all premium cars? I say this beacuse there are Ferraris and such which I don't think they're allowed to have this kind of damage. Thanks in advance!

Yeah I think there are 3 possibilities:
1: Ferrari is premium -> they will have full damage (unlikely)
2: Ferrari is standard ->
2.1: Standard cars have cockpit view (as Ferrari had cockpit view in pologue)
2.2: Prologue cars will be downgraded (very unlikely)

As others have said, all the nascars will probably be duplicates and not count as separate cars. Interior details that differ from one Chev Nascar to another wouldn't differ much and therefore wouldn't be a huge task to model or whatever. Same principal as in Prologue like for example the Ferrari California has different colour interiors for each different colour but it's still one car, duplicated into different colours with different coloured interiors. Same would go with the SuperGT maybe.

So there's actually only 140 odd confirmed premiums (according to that list a few pages back). Here's to hoping there's some Aussie cars in the Premiums.

My problem is that I pretty much only drive in cockpit view... I hope they have some sort of dumbed down cockpit view for the standard cars, or maybe they could just fix that hood view from GT5P so it doesn't look like the camera is 10ft above the car. Either way, I hope we get an official list soon.

Let me get this straight. Honda CR-Z (2010) - Premium?
Oh dang I am sooo happy. I don't care about the other 800 cars not having cockpit view, even I was soo annoyed at it yesterday.

Toyota
Supra (Tom's Castrol JGTC, '97)

PLEASE give me the proof! One of my favs since GT1 :)
And how about Toyota GT-ONE? - I can't find it nor in standard nor in premium.

I would have loved to see more of the classic Japanese sports cars as premium models. (Supra 300zx, Silvia, even some of the older model honda's wouls have been cool, like the CRX or the Prelude's.) Bah at least they will look good in replay + photo mode ;) no complains here ;)

Those are NOT classic Japanese sports cars. Although I suppose the Supra and 300ZX may be able to be considered.
Why on earth would we want a premium model CRX or Prelude? that would be a waste of space IMO.

Classic Japanese Sports cars:
Toyota 2000 GT
Datsun 240Z
Skyline C10 GTR
Original Mazda Cosmo, even though I dont really like it
Original Toyota Celica maybe I suppose
Maybe you could throw an RX3 in there Im not sure I would consider the RX3 and Celica actual sports cars though.

Who knows what they will do as long as 50 of the premium cars aren't Skylines, but I'm betting.....

then again it said "more" then 200 premium cars...

that could mean 20 to 40 to a 200 more in some cases.
