Red Bull X1 Challenge (unlocked at level 30) Bronze/Silver/Gold: Red Bull X1 Prototype '10 (P) - Posts elsewhere in this forum, and maybe this thread, give the indication that there are 3 different X1's up for grabs. Do they have different names? Or something to distinguish them?

4 Actually

Are you saying you got 4 just from the X1 Challenge, or are you including the one you get from reaching lvl 35, in which case it's not applicable to the X1 challenge? Should the OP be updated to include the fact that you unlock the X1 by reaching lvl 35? Is it just B-spec, or does A-spec do the same. Does it only apply for which ever spec you reach lvl 35 in first, or do you get an X1 for each spec? This whole X1 saga could do with clearing up by someone in the know. Exact names and colours for each X1 you get would be appreciated.

Hi there,

Am I the only one who won a Kart for reaching A-spec level 1? It's not in this list and I haven't seen it in a couple of others.

Ah yes that rings some bells!!! I was going through my garage trying to match up my cars to the prize list, and I couldn't remember for the life of me how the kart ended up in my garage because I have deliberately resisted buying any cars, except my Suzuki Swift, which I needed to buy so it would let me into the licenses so I could win some cars to race with. +1 for adding this to the OP.

No I was including the one from B-Spec 35, I misread your post as you thought you could only win 3 in the game altogether.
It is only B-Spec that you receive the X1 at 35.

So does anyone know if we get a prize for a-spec lvl 35? Do you get a prize for b-spec lvl 1 like you do a-spec lvl 1?

there is no level 35 prize in aspec, but b spec. i think they really though no one would touch it. so they made b spec the bomb. thats why im just grinding threw it to get it over with.

So you get one prize car per spec for reaching a certain level. In A-spec it's a kart for reaching lvl 1. In B-spec it's an X1 for reaching lvl 35. Talk about opposite ends of a spectrum!!

Level requirements, maybe. The rest sounds like an awful lot of work and would betray the purpose of the list. I'll leave that kind of stuff to gamefaqs.

Since you already have the list of events, it thought it would be a good idea to have other info regarding the event, instead of heaving another thread for this. In any case this thread is awesome in itself, thanks!

PD really seems to be pushing the players to invest time in B-Spec. The prizes are relatively better, there's the competition that's coming up, and they get nice incentives for leveling up.

Yet B-Spec really isn't anything special.

Makes me wonder what substance they are smoking in their offices.

GT5 has the groundwork to be a phenomenal game. The core gameplay is top notch. Yet so many gameplay decisions and just downright stupid.

I´m glad most of them can be fixed through patches. Let´s see now how much they actually listen to us.

Regarding this thread, it´s sad to see prize cars, and be reminded that i can sell then at a high price to make money like in previous GT´s. Right now most cars cannot be sold and that´s a bummer.

My Le Mans update:

18hours of racing gone and now i parked the X1 and im waiting when clock reaches 24h....

ill post later the results (what you get)

can all cars won in b-spec be purchased or obtained in any other way BESIDES b-spec? I can't stand b-spec mode right now...:ouch:

Almost all prize cars can be bought in the New or Used Car Lot. A few that can't be bought are:
Nissan 370Z Academy Version (random gift ticket)
Nissan GT-R Academy Version (All Gold in S License)
Maybe more than this but that's all I know of.

Pretty disappointed getting a standard car for doing a 24h race... :(

The race was really awesome though, was a very nice gaming moment when it got dark! The rain wasn't too bad either :)

Great thread and good work by all of the contributors.

I hope I'm not the only one who feels that the list of prize cars that are made available for winning races in this game is completely disappointing. There are a few exceptions. The Zonda R and Citroen GT race car are both amazing for example. On the whole, however, you seem to win a bunch of standard cars (many of whom seem to have been randomly selected as they are not very desirable at all). It just sucks when you see these amazing premium cars in the dealerships that cost so much money that it would take weeks to save up for them and then realize that you are not going to win them for any of the races.

The rewards system in this game is just poorly balanced. Winning cars that you don't want and can't sell is just frustrating and having to do "Like the Wind" over and over again is annoying. You should be better rewarded for your efforts in this game. To balance it perfectly, it should be designed so that you do not have to repeat stuff that you've already done in order to gain money and experience.

Also who's idea was it to have so many standard car only races in the extreme mode? The game design is baffling in this regard. Why is it that the DTM and Formula GT series are all standard? You'd think that they would have either made the Formula GTs into premium models or allowed us to use the F1 cars. It's highly disappointing to see what they did with their open wheel series.

Good info. I've actually been looking for a truck in the used car lot to do the Amateur Sport Truck Race. I think it'll take less time to just do the iA License tests.

Wow congrats can anybody share their tunes for 24 hour even, im currently interested in car of choice for indionnapolis 200 lap race. anybody managed to win it in b-spec?

Quick question about b spec, what levels/class would you recommend my 2nd/3rd/4th drivers are for the endurance races?

2 questions - How exactly does Day to night work? is it based on your game clock or does it activate at a set point in the race?
And how much money did you get for doing it?
Thanks
