I'm thinking night rallying in wet or snow conditions. Now that should be a new experience in GT. I don't mind if they bring back the original dirt tracks as long as you can edit them then it would make it more interesting.

Wish they release some video or screens of some of the other rally cars its always the newest ones i.e Suberu, Ford and Citrioen. Would be nice to see how the Lancia's, old fords and Peugeots are looking.

I loved how the rally cars handled on dirt in GT3 but could never get to grips with the dirt/snow handling in gt4, always felt to loose to me.

im nervous since i have not seen any in game shots of a rally mode and the last big trailer from GOW3 does not show any rally tracks. I know they already got the rally cars so lets hope that they show some rally off at e3.

I really don't know what to expect with the rally in GT5. If it was just going to be included like in previous games then I would assume it would be quite similar but now the official WRC license is involved it changes things a bit.

I am hoping for some real car damage, bumpy changing surface courses, ideally point to point. With normal GT5 races there is 8 to 16 cars on the track but with a point to point rally there is only one car to worry about so I am hoping some of the extra PS3 power can be put into adding finer details like tyre trails in mud, better dust, debris flying up and muddy/dirty cars.

That video is nearly 3 years old. That's when we thought GT5 would be out in either 2008/9. How times have changed...

That looks fun.

We don't know much about the whole game, let alone one small section of it like rallying. But yeah I agree, I'm really keen to find out what they have in store for the WRC

Quote from that sega rally video

'We look forward to showing you more features as the development progresses'

Why can't PD do the same =[

Now we've seen less rally than anything else, but I wouldn't expect to see a full WRC season with the new WRC game coming out later this year. However, all we've seen of GT5 has been a bunch of already known cars (maybe a dozen 'new' cars) on several tracks, maybe 5 new tracks. Otherwise nothing is new, no matter how many different combination's we've seen of said cars on said tracks

I agree that, lately, we saw something about Nascar, Super GT and a Night track. We saw WRC cars but not a scene of a track (last WRC scenes weer in the E3 09 trailer, a great teasing by the way).
I would really love to see WRC in GT5, I hust hope they will treat it as the other parts (WRC in GT4 was far to be good in my opinion).

Maybe we have also some chances here:

They want to have Dirt less US targeted (I imagine adding snow, rain ...)

An official cooperation with FIA should help...

WRC 2010, it's from BlackBean games though so who knows how good it will be.

looking at v8 superstar ... graphically surely bad. But i look forward to it cause i love wrc and i don't trust in gt5'rally.
