No thanks.
In GT5, there should be more tracks like the Daytona Raceway and others that are in the United States. In GT4, if you count about 17 tracks are Japanese, 13 made up ones, 21 others from around the world and there are only 5 American tracks (ones that are in the U.S.)!!! I mean come ON Sony, put some more American tracks in the game, PLEASE! Thanks, Hitman

I think there's even less European tracks, and the Yosemite rally tracks and El Capitan are based on a park in the US, that's like 8.

I agree though. More European and American tracks...or at least Sebring and Dayonta Infield...hell, just 1 speedway with an infield.

At least there are some American tracks. No love for the UK? Silverstone, Brands, Donington, Thruxton....Just one of those would be awesome. :D

Basically, I'd like to see more real UK tracks, aswell as Spa and, if possible, the Nurburgring with the Nordschleife and Sudschelife combined. :sly:

Okay. Some perspective is needed here.

I'm sure that, to you, your country's tracks and cars are REALLY important. And why wouldn't they be? They're what you are familiar with. But are they important to everyone else, around the world, who isn't from your country, and doesn't see your country's cars and race tracks every day? No, of course not.

And this is the point with Gran Turismo. To the Japanese guys who make the games, THEIR country's tracks and cars are REALLY important. And why wouldn't they be? They're what THEY are familiar with. Are they important to everyone else around the world who isn't from their country? Yes, they obviously are, because we've bought THIRTY-EIGHT MILLION COPIES of a game (series) with a clear trend of Japanese cars and race tracks in it.

My preference is towards good tracks and good cars. I don't care where they're from, they just have to be good. Personally, I wouldn't want a preset quota of cars/tracks from specific regions just to have cars/tracks from those regions in it. Yes, I'd LOVE to see more British cars in there, but I don't want a Rover 45 in there to make up the quota of British cars, because it's utterly crap. Similarly, I wouldn't want them to miss out on a decent Japanese car because they had to put that Rover in.

If it's good, what does it matter where it's from? I'd just like to see more good cars.

OH no. only 5 American tracks. How many has Australia got? None. :(

And we have one of the best tracks (Mount Panorama), if only this track was added I will be happy.

I know I'm going to be 23 years old on January 15th, but... am I getting old? Has things changed? Is it illegal to use the Search function before creating threads?

Now, when you talk about things like "there should be (something)...," that's not a healthy attitude on the topic of tracks in GT5. Saying "there should be..." or "I demand..." means that if a game doesn't have what you want, you won't buy it. If you're looking for tracks, you have these options:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=63960
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=52680

Or the search option I used with keywords "tracks like see":

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/search.php?searchid=771993

Other than that, it's better to say "I'd like to see...in GT5," but you'd eventually have to find another thread to post in if this is the case. Kind of lose-lose, eh? I'm also American, but I'm not too picky about this issue. I'd prefer a virtual tour of the world than just make the game 80% American tracks.

On a lighter note, Australia does need to be represnted track-wise. Bathurst would be the best offering, but Surfer's Paradise, Eastern Creek, Oran (or Oram?) Park, Pukekohe, Sandown, Adelaide, or something would also be nice. On the fantasy front, maybe a street course of downtown Sydney or Sydney along the bay with the Sydney Opera House in the distance. Greater British and Italian representation would also be nice. Hitman, there should be more American tracks, according to you. What American tracks do you have in mind?

More Worldwide tracks - I agree. Including the Full F1 calendar would be a great start, at least then you get very good tracks and are including many different countries. Being a Brit, of Course I'd love to see more British tracks, but just 1 included would be a step up.

Personally I'd love to see more variations to the 'Ring included as has been said above, something along the lines of PGR3's selection.

More real rally tracks such as the Margam Park from GB, or Oujumpoja (sp!) in Finland.

Indianapolis would be great too, not just the F1 circuit but the Oval - doing the Indy 500 would be a brilliant addition to the Endurance League.

We could avoid a lot of threads, if people would realize that.... ;)

-> Also don't forget the Long Beach City track on which those CART race series are.

Oh, I'd love to see Long Beach. It's probably the most glamourous and oldest race course in America. It's our version of the F1 Monaco GP. It's our version in terms of the biggest and best street course race in America. If time changes are there, I'd love racing in sunny Southern California, but also enjoy a little action as the sun goes down. I love night racing because there's that bit of magic involved with racing under the lights. I like the challenge of street courses because I'm a city guy, and don't mind the challenge. So, good call.

Is there anybody who doesnt want any track in the game? There are no tracks they could include that I'd be upset about, and I'm thinking it may be the same for everybody, for every new track is at least 5 hours of new, never-before-seen racing, added to the already massive equation of time that is GT4. I want American tracks I know, he wants Japanese tracks he knows, and those guys want their homeland tracks, but when it comes down to it, if it's a real track, and it's new to the game, are any of us really gonna care? I'd like some tracks Magazines feature commonly, like Buttonwillow springs, the Top Gear track, and Lexington, from Ohio... or whatever tracks they add.... I just want 50 new real life ones.... but I won't ***** if there's more.

Im suprised nobody has mentioned Road America.

Pikes Peak would be cool. Will be the only way you can race on it anymore. It got paved over all the way up to the summit this year. So no more hillclimb:guilty:

Im suprised Imola has not made it into a GT game yet.

the tracks that were added to GT4 were good but still want more. the ring was a needed addition as was sarthe.

Im suprised it took them until GT4 to get Sazuka in there.

I didn't like the fact that virtually all the high level races in GT4 required the use of the group C cars. there were virtually no races for slower cars that had the same competition level. the GT1 cars were next to useless by the time you got them as you needed a group C car to be competitive

Nordschleife was a good addition? Very little talked about Le Mans in GT4 except in the context of "24 Hours of Daylight? >_<!"

Something I almost never want to do is be patriotic or partisan with a certain country or nationality. I am a citizen of the world with cars and racing. This may upset some of my fellow American types, but it would be nice to see more European courses, because after all, motor racing has deep history in Europe. Someone mentioned Imola, but I'm not really a fan of Imola. I'd prefer Monza, a track that nicely mixes speed with technical driving. I'm not a big fanatic of Nürburgring, but I would also like to see places like Brands Hatch, Silverstone, maybe a fantasy snow rally in Sweden, and stuff like that. If you're talking racing and Europe, you'll have to cover mostly the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and especially Italy. Some might even want to see Rome Circuit return.

This is not to say that America doesn't have its own racing history. I would like to maybe see some equal parity among courses. So, a mix of American, European, and Australasia would be nice. I'm not overly patriotic over this issue, so I just want to know. Pretend that every course from GT4 returned and make its way into GT5. And let's say that more American tracks make it into GT5. Question is, how many or how much American track exposure would personally make you happy?

A good car is a good car, well, the same goes for tracks, and it's less likely to see prejudice against tracks... After all, it's asphalt or concrete... that's it. I'll mostly only be able to name American tracks, because those are in my giant, far away from the others, country. But what I really want is an equal share with tracks, along with cars. Everything good from everywhere. No exceptions, at the least, an equal balance, Japanese-based (company) or not, they have the money, and I'll pay a little more for it, be it 10-15$ more than a standard game.P.S. Nordshleife was a Fantastic addition to GT, day/night changes would be great, and all the versions would be great, but even as it is, is was a great addition for the game.
