Well that sucks, yours worked fine.

I wonder if there is any way of getting around that. I'd like to watch them.

Thanks guys.

Yep sports soft all round.

I'll give it another crack later, if someone beats me.

Cograts Birdyy! Is that a fully upgraded ZR1?

Yes. Fully upgraded. I also tweaked the transmission and suspension settings especially for this tack. ie Top speed @ 310, because the straight isn't long

Pretty funny, did a 51.813.

We're on Birdyy! Wife wants to watch a movie now, but tomorrow I'll get you!

I had no idea turning on that anti skid thing made such a difference. I was doing 54's before.

Does Anti Skid make a difference?

I just left it on default settings lol

Hate playing with a controller :(

Great times guys.

I think there is something to do with PAL and NTSC regarding replays. I'll look into it.

Its probably something like GT5P was, Only NTSC games can view NTSC & PAL can only see PAL.
Thank goodness you can't download this like GT5P as only people who downloaded it could see replay from people that have also downloaded it.
It can get annoying really.

Me and filphip89 was been discussing the use of driving Aids. At first I didn't consider driving Aids to be an issue, they are there to help less experienced drivers and assumed that people didn't use them once they got better. But it now seems like having certain aids on the performance of the car is improved (well the ability to get faster times), TCS and ABS are a driving AID that I will leave up to user preference, but it seems like Active Stability Management and Skid Recovery are making a difference in terms of lap times.

So, what do you guys think about the use of ASM and ASR?

Personally I dont think they should be used as they arent a realistic system. Yes some cars in real life do have Stability programs but they do not intervene like in the game, in real life the stability acts by breaking individual wheels, thus slowing the cars down, in the game who knows how it works, it probably modifies the physics slightly.

I would like to remove the use of ASM and ASR but with so many lap times on the board I think its going to be hard to implement this.

Basically, ye, what do you think?

I'm up for whatever. I don't like the idea of even TC but that is just me. I'm only using it because I have no choice if I want to fight for the fastest time.

It completely changed how the vett drives. Without it, the vett is MUCH much slower. So I think we should get rid of it.

But I am fine with whatever choice you make. I'll still be fighting for "pole" =)

Ok, so I changed the tires to Sport Soft and I managed a 0:58.396 with the AEM S2000 and all assists off. I can tell I still have alot of room to improve my times though.

RaptorGTS any mods on your AEM?

Best time for mine so far: 57.481

All I've done is max out the down force and put the right boots on it :)
Reads as 462 Bhp / 1155 Kg

Ohh would the old school S2000 LM edition car be ok for this event? or too much like a Race Car??

Personally, the fastest time is going to be the fastest time no matter what. Aids, cars, skill, conditions do not matter in real life because the fastest time will always be recorded under any condition and will be used as comparisons for cars. For example, the fastest Spec Miata times at Laguna Seca are used as a gauge to determine the fast miata drivers compared to the aggressive miata drivers whether it is a turbo miata, ITA miata, or daily driver miata.

New Record
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) RM '09
49.745

I have to be honest. The ZR1 is probably THE most fun car I've used so far. Zero complaints in terms of power and handling characteristics.

Vehicle Regulations:

- The car must have originated from a stock production car, no Racing cars allowed (SuperGT, JGTC, FIA GT, LMP).
If your unsure then please ask.

- Any kind of performance tuning is allowed (apart from tires), RM included.

- Tires used must be street legal, max tire is Sports Soft (S3).

Nope, they're legal.

The ZR1 RM is great if you're going for that even though it costs 385,000 credits. It grips well and is predictable. The above time was made with tweaks only to downforce and brake bias. Amazing car.

I preferred the regulation as it was with GT4:

"Super Laps to be done in GT Mode Free Run
Full tuning allowed
No N.O.S
Racing Tyres only
Japanese cars only (Silvias, RX-7s, GT-Rs, Evos, WRXs, etc.)
Tuning cars ARE allowed
NO cars older than 1989
No race cars or road versions of race cars (e.g. R390 GT1 Road Car, etc.)"

..and i would say real traction on the grass :sly:

Awesome times, xe2bls! Is the ZR1 tuned with the newly found downforce?

I only adjusted front and rear downforce all the way up and even found that I was faster leaving the brake bias at defaults.

YES I SECOND THAT!!

👍👍

The only ruling I'm confused about is the japanese car rule. Pretty silly as I'm sure there's someone driving a nice ferrari in japan streets right now. 👍

Yes, but the spirit is to buy a standard Japanese car, tuning it, trim and try to do the fastest lap!

I agree with most of those exept of the Racing tires, we'd be down in the low 40s which very unrealistic, and the Japanese cars only.

Personally I feel like we shouldnt have any AIDS other than TCS and ABS if people want them. Yes, real grass traction too. I'll probably update the rules.

Can I ask anyone to specify which of their times were done with ASM or Skid Recovery on?

Thank You

EDIT: Rules have been updated.

Please specify which times were done with ASM or SKid Recovery ON as they are not allowed. Need to level the playing field out and there is proof that these aids improve times.

Let me know if there anything you want to discuss.

Could someone tell me how to play ther replays on the computer. I saved the replay to my usb drive, but when I try to upload it to youtube or watch it on media player nothing will play. Also tried changing file type. The replay is broke down into a number of files is that the problem? thanks
