-> As of requesting past GT cars, take note that limit these cars please. Let's all do it slowly but surely. :)

EDIT:

-> While waiting on RACECAR's reply on my PM, I was observing all the GT5's Car/Vehicle Wish Lists in the past:

GT5 Vehicle Wish List V5.5 By: The Vanishing Boy (Coming Soon)

GT5 Race Car Wish List By: RACECAR (Coming Soon)

-> Other notable WL threads:

GT5 Vehicle Wish List Q&A By: The Vanishing Boy (60 posts in 3 pages)

^ As I observed each of these threads, the participation factor peaked in V2.0 and died down into the abyss at V4.0. Even as I took over in V.4.5, I kinda failed of recapturing that same spark. Some hate me for doing so. On the other hand as I seen these threads, the organization factor was somewhat blurry. Even with my help with German Muscle in V3.0 and V4.0 wasn't enough to rectify the problem. :indiff:

-> The Wish List Q&A was a transition thread from German Muscle's control from V4.0 to me for V4.5. This was the time I got the clearance from Jordan of taking over the Car/Vehicle Wish Lists. :)

-> What do you guys think? Am I doing the right way of refining the art of moderating the wish list or not? Post it out fellows! :)

In the past your job was brilliant! 👍

I think you doing the right way, and the cars are very well classified:

- Numerical
- Alphabetical
- Year

When you think the new list will come?

I'm completely up for doing a classic car wishlist if such a thing were required, say, any car pre 1980? I reckon I'll have enough free time to organise one and it should result in the main wishlist being even less cluttered, in the same way the race car list will help.

What do people think?

So would that mean that it would be a separate thread than the main wishlist, or would it be in the same thread, but just a different post?

^ Thank you, and I'm glad that you like it. :)

-> RACECAR will be ready by tommorow, since he requested me to post it at the same time. :)

-> And also, it it ok if I breached you Tuner Car list/thread? :scared:

^ I may offer you to help me out at first, like RACECAR did on V5.0 with race cars. Forming a separate thread without much fanbase could cause problems in the long run. But I'm not saying no as of yet, lets test out the market first. So far, there is no need for a separate thread for Tuner and Classic cars. ;)

So would that mean that it would be a separate thread than the main wishlist, or would it be in the same thread, but just a different post?
^ Only for Race Cars and Vehicles (w/c consists Production, Concept, Tuner, and Classic cars) only. If it going to be a by-post basis, it will be too cluttered and it will messes up the thread. :)

Although a reduced list would be beneficial, it should be separate from this one, and this one should go on. It should NOT be called a wishlist, because that's what this is. It should be a "what we hope will be in GT5 based on the PS3, PD, and KY" type thing.

That said, this list should go on as TVB has been doing it until GT5 comes out. How many times must I say this? This is a WISHlist. It's not for practical purposes at all. And it's not just a list of every car ever made. Take a good look at it. Yes, it has almost countless cars, but do you see the non-essential models? Do you see a model that's nothing but a minor trim difference over a different model? No. TVB has done an excellent job at weeding out the essential from the nonessential. Some of you may think that members are just posting any car they can find that isn't on the list. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. All the major repeat posters, including me, have only posted cars we really geniunely want. If we posted every car we could think of, this list would probably be well over 20,000 cars. Members should NOT be limited to a certain number of cars to post. This is supposed to be a free wishlist, where anyone can post anything they want. But, you say, it will get out of hand. No. As I said above, TVB is superb at determining whether or not a car needs to be on the list, and only adds cars that meets his standards, which are good ones. You may think I'm just biased and am doing nothing but praising TVB, but I'm not. It's the truth, and nothing more.

As for questioning the point to all this, seeing as it is not a practical list and PD will only pull a tiny portion from it, if at all, I will re-state yet again: it's the process that's fun, not the result. It's the only reason we're doing it. I write useless lists on paper for hours, and then throw them away. Because the result is not what I'm after, it's the process. Any notice from PD is just a side benefit.

I don't know if this second long-winded post will do any good, but at the very least I hope it will stop the "limit members to x amount of cars" posts. This is NOT the place. If you want a reduced wishlist, make it yourself. I may seem to be taking a negative tone to the members who have previously posted in the above manner, but I'm not. I'm just laying out the boundaries for this wishlist. It's nothing personal. I'm hoping this is the last long-winded post I'll have to do, since it means I'm addressing a problem which I'd rather not have. But if problems keep arising, beware: you'll see more long-winded posts from me. That's all I have to say.

:-)

-> So in comparison, the 5.0 versus the past wish list. I think I didn't do too bad. :)

-> I like your post there Driving Park, talk about pissed! :)👍

-> My intention for the wish list is not just posting requested cars anymore. I would also like to educate people about cars that are significant and not so signifant. And I'd think people will learn a lot by just browsing the list. :dopey:

I'm actually not all that mad, just kind of annoyed that people want to change the format that you set up.
Your intention is great. By all means, do it!

:-)

Yah I'm not into the whole "each person only posts 10 vehicles that they really want" because the fact is, I could not condense the amount of cars I want to see into only 10 spots! Of course, the idea of only posting 10-15 cars at a time I have no problem with, seeing how it would decrease TVB's stress levels. :P

^ What I mean't about '10 cars per post', is 10-15 cars at a time per post. Sorry about that mis-conception. Even I can't post 10 cars only, I do it at a minimum of 20 at a time. :ill: :sly:

-> Yea, because do you guys know how long does it take of receiving/compiling/research/list/post 30 cars per post? About 2-3 hours! :scared:

No no no, when I was saying the 10 cars per post I was referring to what fasj6418 was suggesting. I knew you meant 10-15 at a time per post, which is why I said I have no problem with 10-15 at a time! :P

-> Man, I'm getting anxious right now. Really excited on what will be the outcome on this totally all-new wish list! :nervous:

-> I miss researching cars for the wish list, as if I'm having withdrawal symthoms. :scared:
