Something I though of today:

Being able to choose what brand oil you put in your car. I'm a die hard Castrol user. I'd like to actually put that in my car! Maybe this could somehow play into the Sponsorship idea, of players actually being able to gain sponsors.

It be kinda cool if there was a little RPG aspect to the next game; the rival/grudge system against opposing race teams/drivers, a weekly or daily newspaper that you could get your name in, or use to keep track of opponents and other race series.

It would be cool if you could gain respect, as you start off its just basically weekend racing then when you gain faster cars and lap times you gain sponsorships new mods etc.

Sorry I haven't posted a more organised list btw people. Trying to get it done but b*stards at work aren't givin' me much time to do anything out of work.

Anyway...some consistency in Licence tests would be nice. If I hit a wall hard and get away with it, I don't want to come back and do the test again, hit the wall in the same place half as hard and get failed for it FFS.. >.<

I mentioned this is the vehicle wishlist, but I think this idea crosses into both the car wishlist & the non-car wishlist.

Go-karting with the option to race against plenty of opposition (ie 20-40) would be an interesting 'Coffee Break' and/or racing league. I am aware of several karting games out there that are quite average (or I'm just no good at them!), but I think these forums have the idea of creating a global wishlist for that perfect driving sim, so here's something that I'd like to see in it!

I want a 1000 HP + tuned streetcars event with the testcourse 3 laps, highspeed ring 5 laps, motegi 3 laps and so on.

Regulations (SP?):

1000 HP or more :sly:
No racing modifications (except spoiler)
No concept cars
Except dragsters (180SX etc)

And the AI equipped with fully modded cars.

That would be awesome.👍

How about a custom pit crew. The pit crew should wear the colour/make of the vehicle you are using.....So if I were to race a blue TVR Sagaris, the pit crew would be in blue and the main logo on their uniform would be TVR.

How about an "Engine Overhaul" tune, like the rigidity refresher. thatway, we can get our used cars bcak up to snuff...completely.

Yep, great idea of that overhaul. That way, I'll only spend 500,000Cr instead of 4.5Million Cr to refresh my Pescarolo. Also, I think they should make this mod, as well as the rigidity-refresher, depend on the car. I mean, it is not logical to pay 80,000Cr to refresh a 10,000Cr Civic, and pay the same credits to refresh the Carbon Monoque Shell of some LMP, or a priceless, rare '60 race classic.
And, speaking of priceless rare '60 racer-classics: an SL300 "Gullwing" should cost a fortune - and therefore should also sell for a lot. Same about other rare cars: The Stratos, as an example. Only 495 ones were made (thanks to the Encyclopedia of Sports-cars, Classic Era), not including the original Bertone concepts, and about 150-200 of them were converted into rally cars (where they absolutely dominated everything). So paying around 30,000Cr for a brand-new one is a bit weird, right?

Turbo Car Cup

Motorland -

Deep Forest -

You must be kidding, I mean extremely fast Turbo cars on such difficult narrow tracks witthout long straights? :ill:

The Japan low cup is just the same as the Kei car cup.

What GT4 needed was more individualisation between events, a Japan sports cup featuring mor entry level cars like the Silvia and FTO and S2000 would have been nice, too many cups in GT4 all had the same cars racing.

One cup I really missed was a cup like the American GT cup, but with GT cars from all around the world, I would have liked that.

My next wish has something to do with a car, indirectly.

I want the possibility to make a relatively small car - as example the Mini Cooper- extremely powerful without ''hybriding''. Engine swapping would be a option.

Just imagine a 900hp Mini Cooper with a rear wing and very low ride height capable to make it over 250mph / 400km/h. That would be awesome, driving it at the ''Free Like the Wind'' event.:drool:

Engine swapping GO GO!💡

IMO GT4 lacks of the speed feeling, GT5 needs more cars tuneable to make them really fast.

Why are peopel still using this thread?

Why are you still moaning?

Yes, GT(enter next GT name here) does need an FTO, S2000 etc event, there was'nt anything like it in GT4.

Japan Hall

Japan Cup (Supras, Skylines etc)

Japan GT Cup (JGTC Cars)

70's Cup (240Z's)

80's Cup (MR2's)

90's Cup (Can't remember)

Compact Cup (Small Cars)

Thats the Japan Hall in GT4, no good 170-230 Bhp events.

And who are you to decide that, you didn't create this thread and <spike> has been happy enough replying to comments without mentioning that the thread should be read only too. A choice between Metric or English displays for everything. Not everyone knows what 1600kg is.

No cars with limited usage.

The ability to switch between different styles of tire (wide whitewall, skinny whitewall, redline, blackwall, etc).

Do you guys remember that race you could enter i think it was in GT1 or GT2 where it had not the GT-500 class JGTC but the GT-300 with the cusco subaru, and that white and blue FTO (i forget the name). If you guys know what im talking about then they should bring back that race!

Yeah that was an awsum race! It was pretty challenging too, if you werent using the subaru. They should really make GT5 harder, or they could have a difficulty setting. Before you start the game newbies can pick how hard they want it like easy or medium and for us guys who have played GT since the beginning they can choose expert or something like that.

I would love to test your normal cars in city's or something like in the mountains (on roads ofcourse)... not only tracks but make some maps where can choose directions to have a ride with your normal cars :)...

I also hope there will be more tuning options (from the outside)

I understand but It was my idea and Spike yes, was nice enough to help since I'm not a moderator and only been a member for 2 months now.
I thought it was supposed to be a read only thread. My mistake, what do I know.

Carry on........

Don't mind me, it was late when I typed that, I get groggy sometimes 🤬 :lol:, but the threads not read only 👍.

I would love to see real racing events with better regulations.

* As example, the gran turismo World Championship should only be allowed to group C cars, the Ford GT and the Toyota-7 are not Group-C's. (Didn't PD know that?)

More historic (correct) races :

* Only-Can-Am's (Toyota-7, chapperals..) race event
* Group-C 1982-1990
* Group-C 1990-1994
* FIA GT series (Lister Storm Viper GTS-R)
* 1970-1975 24h Le Mans endurance
* 1982-1990 24h Le Mans endurance
* 1990-1994 24h Le Mans endurance ( Circuit De La Sarthe with chicanes)
* 1999-200X 24h Le Mans endurance ( Circuit De La Sarthe with chicanes)

* Drag racing: historic muscle cars only ( Until 1975)
* Drag racing: production cars
* Drag racing: modified cars (racing cars)

.............and so on

But why different Group-C events, and two modern-Sarthe events? All the cars after the Group-C era are more or less equal, and could run together well. And, as it happens, all the Group-Cs can run well together...

Gingiba
But why different Group-C events, and two modern-Sarthe events?

Because there are some very different cars, just imagine a Audi r8 or 10 running together with a (as example) 70' Porsche 908/3.:dunce:
Group-C races with the Toyota 7 and the Chapperal 2 Jare oddly and unbalanced enough in GT4, different class and different decade. Its stupid to race with a modern LMGTP against some 20 year old group C's or 70'
Can-Ams.:yuck:

And there is another reason, with the right cars at the right time you could replay the original Le Mans 24h.
