Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Buglist
This is no thread for useless complaining or wishlists. This thread is for us to collect and share bugs found in the game and for Polyphony too, because they can't know all bugs of their game, they have little time to read whole forums and here they can be found in one place:
Bugs:
1. Game system bugs:
Quick Tune 100% Weight Bug - Game reverts back the original weight after race in quick tune settings, instantly recreatable with Ferrari California, as described in this thread
Online loading times too long - Loading times prolonging up to 20 minutes, widely discussed here
Citroen GT Concept & AT forcing - This issue was introduced by Spec III and after driving Citroen GT Concept, there is always automatic transmission option selected for next car in driving options after driving it, no matter that there was manual selected before..
2. Factual bugs, not corresponding with reality:
Mercedes SL55 AMG Instruments error in interior view - Rev counter issue.
Fuji Rumble Strip Bug - The rumble strip on the exit of turn 9 at Fuji doesnt make noise and feels like tarmac.
Aston Martin Gearing - Aston Martin DB9 has manual transmission, but gears are from automatic version.
3. Graphical engine bugs:
Graphical Glitch - Vector mess - once in a time, there are diagonally distorted vectors in interior view. But it's very rare.
Jerky Landscape Flow - This issue was introduced by Spec III Update. Easily recreatable bug. When driving Ferrari California or Lotus Evora through main straight of Fuji, there's jerky flow of surrounding landscape, but only in interior view and looking forward. In rear look and all other views, it's OK.
F2007 Graphical Glitch - The Ferrari F2007 color selections have a graphical error in some of the showroom views as reported by waggles.
Subaru Impreza Taillights - When driving a white Subaru Impreza WRX STi (the newer one) in the shadows, taillights are not showing up. Especially at London.
Reflections in interiors - I doubt this is a bug, it's rather some releasing of needed performance from graphical system to have common reflection, same on cars and same on interiors glossy things. Graphical system can have more power to other things then. But yes, that's something not seen in reality when you see the road running in the glossy centre of Ford GT steering wheel and it has been mentioned in buglist, so it's here.
4. Sound subsystem bugs:
Sound Glitch - The game is playing crash sounds while no crash occured. Maybe if the sound is not sounding when it may have, then lately the sound occurs from nowhere. Widely discussed here: here
Chorus Sound Effect - In the replay of the Fuji Circuit races, there's some strange reverb effect in the last turn before final straight after few laps.
5. Controller / wheel bugs:
Driving Force Pro GT Bug - "I can't hold down the directional button to slide through the options, I can only button mash through" as reported by turbomp301 further in this thread.
