He will then allow only the Q driver to enter pitbox.

He will start the 5 Lap Race
LAP 1 WARM UP LAP
LAP2 - LAP 3 - LAP 4 - INDIVIDUALLY TIMED FLYING LAPS
5TH LAP SLOW DOWN LAP.

THE OFFICIAL MUST
OBSERVE THE DRIVER THROUGHOUT THE FLYING LAPS
NOTE DOWN ANY TRACK LIMITS VIOLATIONS FOR EACH LAP
SAVE THE REPLAY IN CASE OF DISPUTE
ADD PENALTY TIME FOR EACH TRACK LIMIT VIOLATIONS PER LAP
POST THE BEST LAP FOR THE DRIVER ON THE FORUM

NOTES FOR TONIGHTS RACE

In a Tribute to a friend JONTIKIS will be Black - with #9

PIT EXIT

IT WILL BE FROWNED UPON IN YOU EXIT AND DRIVE ONTO THE RACING LINE -
WHILE OTHER DRIVERS ARE APPROACHING AT FULL SPEED -
PLEASE TRY TO KEEP OUT OF THE WAY OF CARS AT FULL SPEED.

CORNER CUTTING

TONIGHT IT MAY BE DIFFICULT TO BRAKE IF YOU CUT ANY OF THE HIGH SPEED CHICANES -
THE TRACK IS SO BUMPY AND BRAKING BETWEEN T1 T2 AND T3 COULD CAUSE YOU TO CRASH.
IF YOU KNOW YOU HAVE CLEARLY CUT A CORNER - YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO
BRAKE FOR 1 SECOND ON THE BACK STRAIGHT - ON THE SAME LAP - IN A SAFE MANNER

 
Despite various opinions on who was going to be on the podium before the start(!), I was confident of getting a solid result as the lap times and balance were very consistent with some short runs, even though tyre wear was not great. I've spent quite a bit of time between races trying lots of stuff in order to understand and finally crack the setup for these things, so it was very pleasing to get something that worked really well with both one lap and race pace.....90 min sprint races are very tough, so making the car second nature to drive has also been part of setup strategy.

After a slightly cautious start in the opening laps from second, it was good to be putting in some solid lap times to get within possible passing range of Jon who pitted quite early for a two stopper(?). I was sorry to see Jon get a DC as he had good pace. I was always going to be two stopping, so for most of the race it was a case of not making mistakes and to keep pushing to maintain concentration. I did have a bit of a moment during the second stint when I thought I was out of bounds at turn one, and preoccupied with this, half spun on the turn 3 rumble strips with Erazer not far behind; I'm sure he had a laugh because there was something inevitable about that blue Lexus semi-stationary wreathed in tyre smoke.....

I think Trial Mountain probably suits me quite well with its long medium speed corners, not to mention very good visibility, so maybe this is a one off, or hopefully it has coincided with a break- through as well(!). Back on to the 'proper' circuits where we'll see if things return to normal or not :rolleyes:

I knew you would be in for the win, and I knew I had the pace for a podium. My goal from the start was to be able to reach nissman. But after the first stop, I started to think I might even be ble to catch you, but in the final stint you found a lot of extra pace, pretty much matching my pace despite older tyres, I think I only gained 4 seconds the entire last stint. Had your pace styed similar to first part of the race, and I had not had that 10 seconds handicap following a bad qualifying, I think it would have been close.
But in the end, no-one could touch you here, as was my feeling all along. well done and congrats!:cheers:

I exited the race as I had intense lag. If this happens again at Motegi then I'll temporarily retire from the series.

Not sure why you should retire from series as you could have no lag next race, you never know.

I truly believed I had the pace to score a solid podium, if not the win necessarily.

BUT, I still believe I can recover the lost ground.
So, we go on like it never happened 👍
this is just a dropscore, very unfortunate, but you always have pace now, so im sure you'll continue to fight for podiums.:)

same goes for aug, he may have missed 2 races, but those will be just dropscores, so he is still in for the title.
 
Oh look, only 10 points separate 5 places (fotis, mirial, djm, javi, john), 3 cars are battling for 2nd (aug, niss, jont) and 5th (dan, monkey).

The rest of the standings is pretty much spread after Steve.
Strong battles (what I like :gtpflag:) but with a relatively low turnout.

As I was clearly struggling at Motegi last season, here's to one more round which I suffer.
