I think there will be an Official announcement for GT6 at the Tokyo Gameshow 2012 in September 22-23. This would be around the right time to announce it plus it's in Japan where the GT Series and PD is originally from.

On the contrary, a better option is to announce it in it's largest market (Europe) and tease it, to build anticipation for more details in the home market (Japan).

Tomorrow we´ll know...I think that Japan Studio changed the name for "The Last Guardian" because they lost the "trademark" and they are going to show it (or a new game or a game based in what they had until now) and the rest could be something for PSVita (possibly a GT game) and who knows...

Yes, who knows...i still think that TGS could be the best bet for a GT related announce.

Kazunori Yamauchi has said he won't mention a launch timeframe for the racer.

With the continuous delays for the game's predecessor Gran Turismo 5, Yamauchi stressed that fans being angered by the racer's numerous delays has led to the him making a decision of not mentioning a release timeframe for Gran Turismo 6. During the Gran Turismo 5 Asia Championship 2012 event, he stated:

“If I carelessly say when it will be released, you’ll end up with people saying things like ‘it’s been delayed again!?’ so I will no longer say at this type of event.”

so as for me, GT6 will not be shown at GamesCom 12 maybe at TGS12 or even E3 2013 next year :(((

Predicting delays before they happen doesn't enthuse me with confidence.
