Anyway Im not gonna buy any DLC, I bought all for GT5 and I never used even half of them.

I can see this comes from "disappointment" over delayed (?) update that should be released till end of february , but then call me stupid ,because I don't get it ,what exactly are you plan to boycott?

DLC (only paid or you meant free DLC too?) that has not been announced ?

If people want GT to improve, then the company that develops the series needs money to do just that. Boycotting something that aids their finances isn't going to help anyone. If anything it makes fools of those that choose to do so.

I'm so confused, I'm fairly new to GTP... Why the hate? Is it perfect? No, GT5 wasn't either... I see many good ideas, threads, and contributions. I see mods seemingly arbitrarily locking threads for saying things they don't like. Mod Not God... Don't stifle the voice cause you don't like it. Thats my take on some thread locks anyway.

I do not plan to boycott, its the last entry on the PS3. Its pushing the hardware, the more they hear our voices, the better they can do. Its no one's place to criticize how PD runs things. If you are not happy, don't bring everyone else's day down. Sell your game shut your mouth and move on.

I enjoy the GT series I didn't develop it I enjoy the things I enjoy and dislike the things I dislike. I'm not going to complain about everything.

Please Mods do as you please with both this post and thread. As is your right...

The first proper DLC that will be released

PD are full of money especially Kaz
They don't need aids
Anyway you're missing the point:
I WILL buy the DLC's but only after they release what they promised

Actually, it is you whom is missing said point. Apart from selling copies of the game, selling paid DLC is the only other source of revenue post-launch. So, how are exactly are PDI suppose to deliver an update with the content they promised, if they aren't generating revenue to pay the employee's that work on the update? It all revolves around the almighty dollar (or in this case Yen).

In game credit purchases are another stream of revenue...

Edit: Technically Paid dlc, sorry

So by your theory they need to get the money first and then they work?
It's not like this in the real world it's the other way round

I don't recall stating that, nor did I intend on implying anything of the sort.

I won't buy any DLC until we get one major feature.
Preferably the community update.
Who's with me?
Posting threads like this are just silly buddy, if you don't wish to buy DLC as some kind of protest then great , willPD notice ? No of course not will they care ? No not at all but if you feel better for it then great.

But coming in here and telling mostly fans of the game about it is not a good look buddy .

And also bear in mind that only about 2% of people that play or have played the game use this site the majority of people that play either play and enjoy or play and sale on if they don't , mostly fans use forums .

I'll probably just start boycotting GTP if these threads keep happening. I won't advertise the fact, or ask others to do the same.

It's a shame a great resource is being used by so called fans in this way.

I guess we have to canalize this ... we can't prevent it ... make one subforum to vent frustrations ...
so the ones who want to can vent their emotions there, and the ones who are bothered by it can ignore that sub-forum ...

I love GT too as a fanboy ... but also sometimes want to make some critical comments ... I hope there still stays room for that.

I do not think it would be efficient.

PD and Kaz have their limits: they did not release GT5 2 years later than initially planned just for fun. They do not struggle to finalize the track editor for GT6 on purpose. They are not late in their updates plan to laugh reading this kind of topic on GTP.

A GT game is a very large project and they have problems to manage it properly. Most complaints we may have are linked to that.

Boycotts, complaint letters, etc may ultimately push Sony to invest less in PD... which will only increase the problems.

I won't boycott, but there's a reasonable chance I'll pass if I don't think the quality is good enough, or the price is too high. Very likely scenarios if you ask me. I thought GT5 DLC was very poor.

The free DLC I will of course download. Most of it probably should have been included at release, really.

Ill-advised. We have enough bad feeling prevalent in the community as it is without stirring up more. I would've thought me closing the "Where's our update?" thread after I have been nurse-maiding it for two weeks would be an indication that tolerance of this kind of negativity is diminished. We don't want or need a revolution, we just want the game updated with the features that were advertised. It will be and as @Jordan himself stated not 2 days ago, SCEA have confirmed that such an update is on its way. No, we can't give a release date at this point - we do not know ourselves. We do know its coming, though, so let's turn this negativity into anticipation of what it may be instead of throwing ourselves on our swords to prove a point that's already been proven beyond all doubt.
