Hey gang,
Both the Mercedes AMG SLSGT and the BMW Z4GT car both lift the front end off the track(wheelie) in 2 spots at Deep Forest... I tried adding ballast fwd, then reducing rear wing to balance, but it still does it...What am I missing? The Subaru BRX handles really nice there but doesn't have enough power...
Any ideas would be helpful...

Thanks,

Firstly, they're race cars, so no point comparing them to sedate road cars. Secondly, it's just normal. It doesn't affect lap times, and it's very normal in real life on tracks with high speed bumps:

Ok, its a race car...got it..The Subaru BRX also comes in race car form, and when it does, no wheelie..How can I tune/tame it out?
Thanks..

The BRZ is a GT300 car, so it only has 300hp. GT3 cars have a lot more than that. Any car that hits a bump at high speed like Flugplatz above will lift the front wheels, but if you're really struggling, try and reduce the compression and extension at the front.

As far as I'm aware it is due to high rear down force, flat floor, high power and high grip tyres.

It will happen in many fast cars with these characteristics. Never made it a mission of mine to tune out, I just try to adapt.

Flugplatz is a great example. I tend to drag the brake just before the crest to keep the front down if I need to. Lots of fast super cars will get air but not lift the front. My current nordshliefe weapon is the amuse gt1 turbo. That car definately needs the brakes dragging before the crest to even think about getting round the right hander after landing with any sort of finesse.

Lifting off the gas is the only real solution, most cars will either wheelie or leave the ground completely when cresting hills above a certain speed. This is nothing to do with setup, just basic physics. You might be able to counter it if you can get enough front end downforce and soft suspension settings, but personally I'd just come off the throttle for half a second before going over the peak.
