GT6 @ Goodwood FoS 2014 - Track Updated with Mercedes sculpture, Aston VGT announced.

Gerry Judah I think has designed at least the past few years Sculptures. And when they use cars. They're usually the real deal.

Here's a few I've seen over the years. Jaguars 'cats cradle' from 2000. Scan unfortunately.

Renault 2002. Again a scan.

Honda 2005. Another scan.

2006 I didn't take a photo. It was probably the worst sculpture they ever had at the festival. It was renault and all they had was a tent with the R25 and the one of the 1st cars that ran in the Gordon Bennet cup.

2009 and Audi.

The Auto Union Streamliner. Pretty sure it's not the one in game. Mainly because the one they built for there birthday was in the paddock. Won't bother with the close up of the R8.

2010 and Alfa Romeo's Cloverleaf.

2011 E-type from the Honda Big Wheel.

2012 and the one we have in game. Lotus.

I personally find this "art" to be overblown and trying too hard to be dramatic like a lot of what passes for "art" today. Build some nice pedestals out of granite or something and just put the cars on them where people can actually see them.

Little fact: Due to the Forza licensing, the 2011 Lotus on the sculpture didnt appear on the GT6.

Im interested to see what sculpture the Mercedes will built.

It is sort of the point though. And these sculptures are only up for a few days. Which to me makes it even more impressive. The other thing is that you usually see others of the same type of car running up the hill or on stands anyway.

I think the last Mercedes sculpture was 2001. And tbh it wasn't one of the best. Looked ok at night for the ball. But during the day it was just another tent really. Not my pic.

It is easy to look through the posts alphabetically and see what has been posted under each manufacturer - just click once on the red title banner to start at Z and click twice to start at A - obviously that function only works if people follow the thread guidance for titles which is make / model / year. Alternatively you can try using the normal search function.

That would be nice, but didn't you hear all of the follow up to that announcement? There is some pretty strong evidence to suggest that there was a misunderstanding somewhere and that those cars were never going to come to GT6, but rather Forza 5 and Driveclub instead. It's still "technically possible" (), and I suppose that the unveiling of the Mercedes sculpture would be a good time to do it.

AFAIK the E63 is not in driveclub.

So, what game is it then?
