Does anybody know how many/what LMP1 cars will be in gt6? Thanks, any info would be greatly appreciated.

Well I would expect all the ones that are in GT 5 and maybe a couple more but we'll have to wait and see.

Going off the supposed info that all 1000-plus cars from GT5 will be in GT6, That automatically would mean three to start with (The Factory Peugeot 908, Team Oreca 908 and the Audi R10). Not sure how many new ones will be in the game so I guess the next five months will be where that info lies.

The presentation said we would receive racing cars ranging from historic to the latest machines. Hopefully this means the Toyota TS030-HYBRID and Audi R18 e-tron quattro. Whether we see them from launch or as part of the DLC programme is a mystery. That is assuming we see these fantastic racing cars at all...

This is new news to me, I guess my dream of premium 90s GT cars or premium Group C cars isn't impossible.

Would love those 2 cars and more LMP1 cars in general but the LMP2 class looks very promising and tasty as well this year.

I've been waiting since GT3 for the Panoz front engine open top LMP cars. Hopefully GT6 will finally have them. Was one of the only cars to really take it to Audi's R8 at some tracks.

It would be a MASSIVE improvement if PD can classify racecars. To go a step further, in the 24 hour races, have classes divided. If you don't want to race LMP1 and chose a lower class, but win your class, you should get the win. The Nurb 24 Hrs should not even have LMP cars allowed.
Having proper classes would reduce their dependency on Performance Points. This is possible on PS3, hopefully they'll implant it.

Don't be waiting for any ALMS cars. Forza currently has all rights to the ALMS and when the United Sports Car Racing Series starts up, both iRacing and Forza will share the rights.

I assume not since both Forza and iRacing have the license. It's just a matter of Sony buying the license.
Wasn't it said some where that all cars from GT5 will be in it? I can't imagine that includes the race cars since there are various licensing issues with those cars. I don't think PD nor Sony are capable, or even want to, include all the race cars from GT5 in GT6.

Why wouldn't they be in? Over 1200 cars in gt6 includes every car from gt5. If theres about 200 new cars then we can expect what was said. Perhaps some of the cars mentioned will be premium. But will they be counted as new cars? I wouldnt think so, but with the Alpine A110 and Countach going premium are they 'new cars'?

Race cars can be tricky due to very specific licenses.
For example, there is simply no way GT6 is going to the 2010 and 2011 NASCAR cars in it, due the the differences in sponsor licenses and car design. NASCAR isn't going to want older cars in the game because they're hell bent on pushing the 2013 cars to no end. The other race cars probably have similar issues, which is why I think that whole "every car from GT5" thing must actually mean every street car from GT5.

Theres lmp cars who had playstation sponsorship end years ago but still were included in GT5.

My most wanted LMP1 cars are the Audi R18 e-tron quattro and Toyota TS030-HYBRID. The 2013 spec would be preferred but I would imagine we shall receive 2012 if GT6 features them at all. I will be ok with that!
If we get one then we must get the other as these are true rivals unlike the Audi R10 TDI and Peugeot 908 HDi FAP which were 4 years apart in GT5.

They are not. Check the demo car list, countach is listed as car in GT5 already, e.g. with no *. For example xbow is listed with *.
