Well, the car listed in the Silverstone article on the official website is the '68 Alpine but the one we have in the game right now is a '73. That coupled with the '68 showing a slightly different front end (2 extra headlights) makes me think it's not just a quality upgrade and will in fact be a different car.

.Still seems odd that they'd list a completely different / incorrect year (and not a plausible typo like 72 instead of 73) though if it were just an upgrade from standard to premium quality. But putting that aside for a moment I do still wonder about the visual difference though between the new one in GT6 and the one we have in GT5, I went looking for some pictures and found a couple of early 70s models with the different sets of front lights so maybe that's a sign of potential customization options then.

Good point, I think people will be really pleased with little touches like that. Rally light modifications for cars like Lancias, Evos and Imprezas, yellow lights for cars tuned for endurance racing etc.

Unfortunately not. The Scirocco is FF and the Megane is MR, and the Scirocco has 60 hp less and weighs 150 kg more. It's not a good match. Both should still be great for spec racing though.Dat Renault vs Scirocco

The Megane doesn't race at Nurburgring for VLN races, and it's raced within it's own dedicated series.

the only cars that has my intrest in this list so far it the Mercedes SLS GT3 and the BMW Z4 GT3. Im generally not to wild about the Z4 but when you put a wing, a splitter, and some stickers on it you have my curiosity

What about removing the interior and adding cylinders? Still, the GT3 cars are really getting me hyped up for the game, I hope to see more.

Very happy that the Renault Megane Trophy is confirmed for GT6. That should be a funny good racer for online-events. Am I spoiled to say I want these kind of race cars at least customizable in base colour ? Like the Mazda MX5 RS (DLC) for example ?

Well if the game is going to pride itself on being a racing sim, then they should include those classic race cars such as the Cobra Daytona.
I want to know why they pulled a lot of the good cars that were in GT2 or other GT games.

Probably due to sheer amount of cars in GT2. Add in the fact that they're out dated. It's nice to have a taste of the past, present, and future. I think GT does that well.
They also do a good job of capturing the unique. Like the Pebble Beach winners.
I just think if PD are going to add 1 car from a random series they need to add at least 5 five more for them to make sense..

Not like it'll make a difference. Even if PD announces the Shelby Daytona, you still won't want GT6. Not like Forza hasn't showed it either yet...
So I don't understand why you're demanding for ONE car....
He wouldn't, but I would. Shelby Cobra Daytona on Willow Springs or Trial Mountain = Fun for me. XD

well so far this looks like a damn addon to GT5. 200 new cars and more than half will be slow pieces of crap. the demo feels nice but i really dont see how this is going to be a GT6 game. its more like GT6 prologue. i bet they wont give the old camaros more power or have a ZL1 and Z/28 '14 in it.

You're not alone. With increased DLC support as well, this is more than I was expecting to be honest.
