I also had a feeling that PD was going to be off with their numbers at the start. For all we know, there could be more than 1200cars too.
They always have more cars than the marketing number:Yup, it would be stupid if that happened.

Before the over 1000 of GT5 they had said, over 850. 900, 950 and finally over 1000, which is what we got in the end.GT5 was always officially 'over 1000'. When GT6 was first announced they said simply '1200 cars' then it was changed to 'over 1200'.
Seeing where it's all been going recently, I'd be doubtful too, but they usually keep their car number promise as opposed to other features.I doubt it personally, not more than 200 unique new models.
RightNumber yes, what matters is what makes up that number. Hopefully they aren't counting the anniversary models as separate models. If they are that's 50/200 already.
Lets just hope its not less.
Atleast one new Nissan that isn't the GT3 GTR and the DeltawingYup, I'll hope and hang on. I just wish I didn't have to wait until 2 weeks before the game to see every last comfirmed car. I'm so eager to find out what other cars are in GT now.

I've noticed that alot since the game was announcedYou know what's odd, the only comfirmed Nissans I've seen so far are just a few GTAcademy cars, that GT3 GTR, and the deltawing.

There aren't many new Japanese cars in general so far. I think they're just trying to get rid of the "A bunch of Japanese cars" image.
The 15th anniversary cars are simply modified cars already available in the game with a special weird looking blue livery.
I keep reading that people are expecting around 200 new premium models but the numbers don't support this theory. If GT5 had 1088 cars in total (excluding the Chromelines and crap like that) and if GT6 is going to have 1200 approx. how does subtracting 1088 from 1200 leave 200?
So far, many cars on the GT6 'new' car list are nothing but 15th Anniversary Editions of existing cars, also standards simply converted to premiums. Not to mention Gt Academy Nissans.
When GT5 supposedly had 200+ premiums at launch, many were duplicates with different paintjobs. Remember all the NASCARS? The duplicate 908s? The GT by Citroen fantasy race car and petrol version that never actually existed in real life? I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar.
It all depends on whether they leave standard versions of the cars like Countach, Alpine, Cizeta and other "premiumized" cars... I hope they won't.
Despite the inevitable ruination of online gameplay by kiddies who've only just acquired it (by whatever means) and are eager to show everyone how they cannot drive it, I'm glad they the Red Bull X-series is going to continue. They're just marvels of virtual engineering which could feasibly happen in the real world.
The petrol-powered GTbyCitroën was a real car.
I think that's the one with the electric powered engine that generates 788hp (the white one in GT5) I know that out of the 3 GTbyCitroen models present in GT5, only one (the white one) exists outside of GT.

Breaking news:That isn't the electric one. Did you watch the video?
Ok, so I got the two mixed up. No need to bite my head off
Doesn't change the fact that of the 3 models in GT5, only one is a non-fantasy car.
