GT6 Master Car List [NOT A WISHLIST]

I spy, with my little eye, something beginning with Mazda RX-500 Concept...

Hnngh!

Do we have to copy/paste the entire carlist like that?

I saw the RX-500 as well, but my first thought on it was the Mercedes rotary concept, not realizing it might have been the Mazda.

Hey, what about those Mercs mentioned here?:
https://www.gtplanet.net/mercedes-amg-gran-turismo-6/
I can't see them on the list.

The new NSX prototype isn't on there either, but clearly in the new video. Seems there are some surprises - they mentioned a new X-car, as well.

Ha I knew it, not even close to 200 new cars. 124 including some dupes.

Indeed. It seems like we might get a livery editor of some sort, judging by the "Base Cars" - though they're all racing models, which leads me to think it's just to allow us to have them de-liveried, not so much make our own. But of course, those are counted as unique, as are two Huayras, for some reason. Looking past that, a great deal of that car list's new additions are ones I've already enjoyed for a few years in another game, but there are definitely some unique cars that only GT6 has. I'm actually beyond stoked with the RX500 and the old Gordini :D

So are the 'base models' the new way to duplicate cars? A plain version of race cars? Because surely if there was a livery editor it'd have been covered in that info blowout.

Also I see all the standard > premium updated cars and GT5 DLC cars are included in the new list. So the real new cars are likely closer to 100.

Still yes, some great cars there. But they fudged their numbers. It even says over 1200 in the text then only lists 1197. So I guess they still need to add at least four.

They Did say. "* This list is one part of the cars planned for inclusion, and is subject to change."

The Mercs and NSX bump it over 1200 ;)

Yeah, I'm not sure how the Countachs or even the Bentley count as "new to GT6". Come to think of it...

Audi R18 TDI Prototype '11
Audi R8 LMS ultra '12
BMW E92 M3 (BMW Motorsport) '10
Ford Ford GT '05
Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary '88
Lamborghini Countach LP400 '74
Lancia STRATOS '73
Pagani Huayra '11
SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition '13

All strike me as either dupes or returning cars, and that's not even counting the "Base Models". What I'm more surprised by is the lack of premium JZA80 Supra or AE86. The list is provisional of course, and likely to change, but... a wee bit surprised, still.

Anyone notice this:

Edit: I guess so.

I don't believe the car list at all, I can't believe it! A premium Shelby GT350, ford mustang boss 302, new renault megane, Mclaren F1 Race Car, the 2013 Nascars, & some new super GTs?! Am I dreaming?! Because this feels like something I would dream about.

Yes and I see the "All cars and tracks will be returning from GT5" line has now been removed from the website. They really shouldn't have posted that before they knew it was 100% certain.

Well the rover is, erm, interesting.

Will it even work in a 1G environment? Will we be restricted to trundling around the lunar surface, forever alone?

That's really sad if the Ferrari F1 cars have been removed... I don't know now if we can expect any F1 cars as part of the Senna DLC.

Also quite disappointed in the F50 still not joining the car list. Would've taken that any day over the FXX. Overall, not a very impressive new car list, but I'm not going to really complain. There are a ton of new cars in there that I'm looking forward to. But I will say it looks a bit half assed again just like GT5's car list. Very strange choices and very few new cars in certain categories, and I can see a whole bunch of dupes already on that list... including I think 4 2011 Renault Clios if I read it right.

Disappointing, but not surprised. Heres hoping GT7 has a different list.

That's what I thought after GT5 and this GT6 list really didn't explore nearly as much as I'd hoped for, so I wouldn't get too excited about things changing for GT7. This is just the way PD does things.

The '05 "Standards" have been removed, it seems. There is no longer a Ford GT (No Stripe) listed.... indeed the only Ford GT listed as "Returning" is the premium '06 model.

The Lamborghini's and Lancia don't appear to have Standard Models anymore, either.

As for the BMW, I know that the different years of the M3 had different wheels... could also have different liveries, too. EDIT: 2010 was the year the Art Car ran after all...

And the GTS Launch Edition was a special-color edition of the Viper. I know that it could be moaned that it's a duplicate, but it is a real car at least, and SRT considers it as such.

The Pagani is the only head-scratcher for me, as I'm guessing the Audi's are "Base Models" but without the "Base Model" tagged on.

The Hyundai Click Type R from the Korean version of GT4 is in GT6 as well. That's really interesting.

The Accent Rally car is also returning.

I'm very disappointed.

124 'new-to-the-series' cars out of which at least 20 aren't new.

While in general there are some really awesome new cars to be driven in GT6 (and a few pointless cars removed), it's clear that lesson from GT5 still has not been learned; the choice of cars is still a painful joke.

Lunar Rover? Interesting idea. If there's gonna be a Moon to drive on, that is.
Honda Fit - because there still isn't enough small Hondas included.
Another Toyota Vitz/Yaris -
And here comes the best - two Huayras. Why?
That's one way of finding out there were two Huayra's generations.

Also, a direct quote from the 'cars' section where car categories are lsited:
"What has the future in store for the automotive passionate?"
*Toyota Aqua S picture*

Now that made me laugh.
