GT6 Master Car List [NOT A WISHLIST]

There is something i don't understand.
There is a lot of duplicates, but they dont use similarities between models they build to improve the game.
For example, in real life, BMW 120d and 120i dashboard are exactly the same as 135i. But in game, only 135i has got dashboard view! Is it really difficult to copy/paste it?

There are a few differences between the 120i/d dash & the 135i one, mainly down to model year and also the level of equipment of different cars. However pd could easily use the same dash for the 120i and d, as long as they change the steering wheel and also the rev counter for the latter!

PD still has to give me the ultimate LFA, the Nur edition. C'mon PD!!

I'll buy 5 more of those alongside my old gang of LFAs.

Yes, i agree, differences are between phase 1 et phase 2, 2008 120d and 120i are like 135i.

I just think if they had another 150 unique cars to reveal they would have shown a few of them by now.

Why wouldn't they? What benefit is there to waiting until a few days before and revealing the whole list? Surely the longer the information is out there the more likely it is people will buy the game day one.

One word. Surprises. PD loves to surprise us.
If there really are 200 new cars they could have announced another 50 cars and still have 100 left to 'surprise' us with.

160/200 cars unannounced with just over a month to go is really odd. That is why I don't think they really do ghave 200 unique models.

Theres a lot of new cars. The GT3s, the Audi S1 and R18, the deltawing, the Vette, Viper, Focus etc. You still have SEMA and the Tokyo motor show before release as well. Maybe they're adding suspense, if so it seems like it works.

A fair few, yes, but they've claimed 200 new cars and shown about 40 of them since May, five months. There is now less than a month to go and supposedly over 3/4 of the new cars not revealed. There is something odd about that. They could have shown 150 cars and still have 50 left to "add suspense" with. There is no reason to be this coy about so many of them, is there?

I know I know, but maybe they will release a good chunk of info during Thanksgiving or Black Friday. Patience is essential.

Well it is where promotion of GT6 is concerned, yes.

But it's their loss, if they don't give me reasons to buy GT6 on release day I'll spend my money elsewhere and buy it when it's cheaper.

I see where your coming from mate, hopefully PD will release some more car pics/vids. To me the cars are my own personally essentials for enjoying GT. But I want to know more about the event creator, track editor, and customization,

I am starting to think that we have seen all the cars we are getting day one the rest are dlc. If that is the case they got there numbers seriously wrong.

Why is it they need to show a majority of the new cars? I don't think that makes sense. That takes away a lot of surprise imo. I have a feeling there are a few new Japanese cars left. Possibly some new race modified or gt-specific 'tc' cars. Im definitely counting on added Super GT 500/300 cars from the past 4 years (post 2009 like the HSV, which is the only one in gt5). As for the rest, thats up in the air. But in the final month anything can be revealed, especially with two huge shows coming up in the next week or so.

You'd have to remove existing geometry first. Plus, it will look like crap and look inconsistent.

PD didn't reveal GT5's final and official carlist on their website until 12 days before GT5.

Car list reveal: November 12, 2010

GT5 game release: November 24/25, 2010

We should probably expect the reveal in late November. ;)

Informally through trailers, pics and promotions....but I don't recall exactly how many, percentage-wise, that we saw before the official reveal.

Right now, it looks like we've seen at least 1/3, but no more than 1/2 of the new (200ish) cars.
